Easy to find campsite. Managers were all really friendly and helpful.
The toilet block although modern was not cleaned on a regular basis. On occasion only 1 toilet out of 3 was usable. Top tip, take your own toilet paper.
The pitches were excellent. Lots of room.
The bus into Walthamstow did not set off till 9.45 on a morning so don't plan to be in London before 11.
Site is brilliant for visiting London. Although there is quite a lot of air traffic it certainly did not bother me and my children.
There is a tescos only 5 minutes drive down the road and Walthamstow market is wonderful for fruit and veg.
The site shop was fine for the basics.
Would definitely stay here again.

This is our second visit to this site, staff very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately Reception had run out of travel cards and were awaiting delivery, so we travelled to Edmonton on the bus (£2.00 each!) and purchased our travel cards at the railway station for the whole week, children £1.00 (Zone 1-4) Adults £5.90 per day (zone 1-4). Decided to use the buses for travelling around London, very easy, you can catch a No. 23 or No. 11 just outside Liverpool Street Station which will take you to Trafalgar Square. You need to get a bus map of London to help you.
If its sunny its worth visiting Hyde Park, take some peanuts for the squirrels, extremely tame, they eat out of your hand. Dangle your tired feet in the Diana Fountain! really refreshing.

We live in the neighbouring borough so not too far to go, people were laughing at me when I said I was going camping so close to home! Despite the urban sprawl this little gem of a site hits so many spots. Lots of local people getting away in their tents and incredibly friendly for London. People were helping each other with tents, swapping childcare, and generally being very civilised. There were a number of foreign tourists using it as a base for sightseeing. We met another family and went for a long rainy walk along the canal where I swapped my big orange poncho for some duck eggs with the elderly man who lives in the boat house in Picketts Lock. The site feels very secure and the staff were really nice and very helpful. Great facilities, key locks on the toilets and showers, plus very good dishwashing facilites. I will be going back here whenever I can for a little break as daughter made friends very easily and cycled around all day. Nice safe enclosed playground for little ones. Cracking site.

Location, location, location. Not the site for you if you want picturesque scenery and tranquility but if you want a great campsite only 3 miles from Tottenham Hale tube station (Victoria line, 20 minutes to the west end) then this site fits the bill. Set behind a multiplex cinema with 'filling station' restaurant and a golf course in the middle of an industrial estate there lies an oasis. Ok, so it's in the flight path of Stanstead and there's a gentle industrial hum that you only notice after lights out but they're the only negatives I could come up with and once again that was outweighed by the proximity for central london and ease of access from the M25. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the toilets /showers were always clean and tidy and the small shop had all the basics without charging you a fortune over the odds. There is a Tesco Extra a five minute drive down the road (next to the IKEA store)on the north circular if you prefer. The only criticism about the shower blocks was that after a days worth of showers they became more like saunas as they had inadequate ventilation and I found this rather oppressive. All said though a great site allowing a cheap weekend away to central London. We'd definitely go again.

For me this site is purely for visiting central London. All day everyway (bus, train, tube) transport for adults at time of writing is £5.90, kids £2.00, its good value so dont think twice. Staying for six days or more look into the oyster card system for even cheaper travel.
The site was fairly quiet when we visited mostly foreign visiters. Staff are great (ignore advice to go to Camden market - its down market big time and very poor value for money, and its small and rubbish to boot), site is great facilities are good. Cinema on doorstep, multi-complex.
For London central, short bus trip then train then tube I had dreaded this it sounded quite a lot but it is easy and they campsite staff make it fool proof.
Visit Leicester square for half price theatre tickets and seriously consider Joseph its well worth the cost (ask the guy with the banners advice he has seen them all - perk of the job).
Noise is evident in the form of trains peeping, cars driving, planes flying, golfers going about their business and early rising campers but up and out to London and back late will make sure these are part of the scenery. Enjoy.

We arrived and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The toilets and showers were very clean and ample hot water
We had a nice stay spoilt by another camper tripping out his electrics and taking out our plug and putting it in another so we awoke frozen! Went to warden offices and he very quickly sorted the dilemma out. I hope they in future tell people not to change electric sockets once plugged in.
Other than that the trip was good would recommend it to everyone

Visited this site over the bank holiday weekend. Unfortunately did not have the experience of others. The site is easily reached from the M25 and is situated next to a cinema, golf course and several restaurants. London in easily reached by the nearby stations, and a short drive away is a fantastic kayak/cycle hire centre.
The site itself is separated between tents and caravan/campers. Unfortunately the toilet block was not cleaned regularly, although the cleaning record implied it was and there was a lot of noise late at night. The site itself has a barrier entry, but I was not provided with a code to enter or exit, but told the staff operate this barrier. This became a problem over the weekend, as you could not leave/enter the site easily. On one occasion it took 15 minutes as the office was shut. We did raise our issues with staff, who advised the problem was short staffing. Overall, a well placed site with good amenities nearby, but I would not return.

Visited this site over a weekend, very nice and friendly staff, very helpful. Nice and easy for London, the buses and trains run regularly with lots to do and see in the area. Big cinema right nearby. Only one gripe, the toilet block was very clean and tidy but NO HEATING, it was freezing in the showers. It was a cold weekend and the temprature was the same outside as inside, but apart from that it was a lovely place.

Using a alpine sprite pulled by a ford transit luton, viewed with suspition but after introductions and an assurance, we were happy to leave the luton in the nearby car park we had a truly magic break. Wardens superb, so too is the site, good facilities with a brilliant little golfers cafe just behind the site. Office / shop with fresh cooked bacon sarnies, hot tea / coffee, just the ticket after a very cold bike ride along the nearby canal tow path down to Tottenham Hale or up to Enfield to have a look around the redeveloped arsenal / barracks. Busses into Seven Sisters every 15 mins for the tube into London or the bus into Victoria, tickets available at the site shop. Are we going back? Too right, as soon as we can fit it in.

A wonderful, quiet and clean site for visiting london. We were 3 adults as we were staying on this site whilst looking for accommodation in north london for our son starting university, but I did notice an adventure play area for families with young children. It is a 5 minute walk to the frequent bus's which will take you the short drive to Edmonton Green (choice of pubs doing meals here) from where you can get the bus/train etc to go into the city centre, (in half hour during quiet times, but allow an hour during the busy times of day)
The shower block was immaculate at all times of the day, and centrally heated, I have to say they were lovely, with plenty of hot water. And you didnt have to hold your finger on the button to get the water to stay on.
The staff here were so helpful and welcoming, I can't praise them enough. We didnt have time to use the cinema and the restuarant menu didnt inspire me (burgers etc) but tesco's is only a ten minute drive away so we were fine.
Rated 10/10 from us and we are going to return here in a few weeks. Big thank you to UKCS for listing this wonderful site. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
