A really nice site with absolutely stunning views of the Cornish coast.
I wanted an overnight pitch for a small tent and a spot to park my motorbike. I swapped emails with Karyn and was told just to give them a couple of days notice.
I called Colin when I arrived as the entry sign requests and was directed into the 'non electric' field on the right. This turned out to be huge and with only a couple of vans and one other tent, so plenty of room!
The grass was short enough not to hold much moisture but long enough to add a bit of softness to the ground and the area is so quiet I could hear bees and other flying insects whizzing about.
The whole site is pretty big so there is a walk of a couple of minutes over to the toilet / shower / dishwashing block. I didn't use the showers but everywhere looked nice and clean and there was plenty of hot water for washing, although no plugs in the wash hand basins. Which is a pretty minor point.
The facilities are all functional rather than luxury which is fine by me and I think is reflected in the very competitive tariff. I paid £10 for the night which is a lot cheaper than many sites only a few miles away, and I doubt any of those have the views this site enjoys. Colin did say it can get a bit bleak in winter. And I can believe him.
The site is only 11 miles from the A39, so is really easy to get to and is signposted from the road to Boscastle. For my purposes it was perfect and I was at Lizard Point in around only two hours, it would take longer in a car, but not much.
I would be more than happy to stay at this site again and I am not the only one as Colin says they have many customers who have been returning for over 20 years.

4th or 5th time we've been here, and for very good reason we'll definitely go again.
Simple, unspoiled, clean, beautiful.
Highly recommend walking from campsite along coastal path towards Tintagel.

Was met at the entrance by a lovely chap and was guided to where we could stay.
Plenty of choice and found a super spot. Only spent one night here unfortunately but will definitely return.
Clean toilets and showers, great views across the hills and sea.

We normally pick adult only sites, but this was a nice campsite and we would book again, when we're next in the area.
Relaxed atmosphere and friendly owners made for a pleasurable stay.
Good facilities and an enjoyable visit to Cornwall - thanks once again

Really lovely campsite. Colin the owner is very friendly and helpful. We were due to come for 14 nights but had to self isolate at the last minute and it was no trouble to post pone our booking.
We stayed 9 nights as my husband was only able to extend his annual leave by a day. Never had to queue for the showers or toilet. Lots of space for our large tent.
Everyone is spaced out well. Lots of room for the kids to run around. My husband found the men’s showers were not too warm but the ladies was fine.
At certain times of day you need to wait for the boilers to reheat. It is a bit exposed to the wind but there are hedges to act as wind breakers.
A lovely gem of a site if you are after a quieter site.
Would definitely recommend and book again.

We were only here one night - but Colin was very welcoming despite the driving rain. Told us rain would clear and we could walk down to the harbour- he was right & we watched beautiful evening sunset !
Campsite had incredible views & facilities were spotless.
Would highly recommend

We just stayed a single night but the campsite met all our expectations.
We would happily return.
Friendly welcome.
I’m told there are great views but our October visit in the storms and rain obscured that!
