 You arrive and everything seems ok, well its pretty much downhill from here 😝 the large campervan bays are great but the tent pitches are small and these are a mix of not so friendly campers and seasoned 1s that have a bit of sense,
Toilets are horrible, in the morning expect a 30 minute wait seriously not enough stalls (also unless your used to 80 grit sand paper bring your own TP) for the amount of people,
Showers have seen better days and the laugh is there closed from 1pm to 4pm and 11pm till 7am never in my life have I seen such service would be ok if they were actually cleaned through these times,
The wardens are a mix of kids and some that are just not helpful the guy with long hair and the beard was helpful the others may as well been chocolate fire guards, I don’t like to put awful reviews but to me this site has potential but needs management

Excellent camp site with clean and well maintained facilities
Right at the lake side
Children never complained about no wifi
So will definitely be returning great fun

Love this site and have been before, it is in a great location, love that it feels like your really away from everything but actually have so much near if you wanted to explore more there are local towns like Caernarfon about 20 min drive away and llanberis and Snowden,
On site they welcome you at reception and explain rules handing you a map they log your car reg plate which allows you through barriers into the site after checking in,
We were staying in a tent with a dog and no ehu so you can pick on site where you want to set up we picked next to the lake as you can see everyone having
Such a good time you can rent out canoes for around £14-£20 bigger ones for an hour, people used their own paddle boards, and dingies!
They have a picnic area which serves hot pizzas around £11-£13 in Pizza Hut and in other hut they served drinks/beers etc with different hot food on each night eg burritos, curries, hog roasts, it is expensive but good quality food and lovely people serving it.
They have a large washing up area, microwaves, boiling water, places to charge electricals, lots of showers with a new block built since we were last there plenty of toilets they are all near reception if you need to go in evenings they have night loos dotted around open from 11pm-7-am.
We were a bit disappointed to learn we couldn’t use cash and that it’s card only on the whole site including the little shop they also have on site which sells all essentials in case you have forgotten anything 😃
You can have campfires which you can have at your tent or on the beach you just need to buy your own logs which they sell in bags in the picnic area.
There are some lovely trail walks just off back of site also. If you needed WiFi you can only get it at reception or in the picnic area it says your connected on site but drops out a lot but I guess we are not there to use technology 😆
We have been when it is quiet and busy it can get a little noisy at night when it’s busy but that’s to be expected, as for parking your car there are small parking sites dotted all around the site so you can get a close to where your camping but your not allowed to park on grass only in the bays,
Overall a great place to camp and has to be my favourite by far! Definitely recommended 🤩👍🏼

Lovely campsite very friendly staff.
Location is great would recommend beddgelert for a day out.
Has nice shop on site and facilities are clean.
Only thing I would say is take strong pegs as the ground gets a bit hard in the heat.

+ Beautiful camping spot 😍 our favourite place in Snowdonia.
You can hike, rent a canoe or swim in the river or lake.
Toilets are in the reception area, so you have to walk a lot 🤪

Love how close it was to the lake, and being able to hire a boat/bring your own to get out onto the lake.
Toilets and showers are generally clean and there’s plenty of sinks for washing up, outdoor showers, small shop on site for essentials and different food served every night which was delicious.
Really good location, at the foot of Snowdon and close to enough to surroundings towns and tourists sites. Can get really busy and can be a little noisy during the night.
Check in was quite a long wait, wasn’t really told much information about the site or where we could pitch so we winged it.

We stayed with friends and our families.
Great campsite, great location.
We were in a cloud for most of the week but that didn't stop us from enjoying the waterfalls nearby, the lake, the water-sports, and fun with friends.
The outdoor showers and the water boiler were a great hit too.

Good facilities, busy, a little noisy at first but tolerable. Then quiet. Amazing.
Good for local treks and ice cream.
Food on the site too, to try next time.

Nice location but expensive. Be aware that there are additional 'mandatory' charges when booking.
Booked for a 'small campervan with electric hook up ' for £24 a night to find that that doesn't include electricity or vehicle! Actual price £34. 50 plus a £5 booking fee.
Would rather be quoted the honest all in price than be annoyed when it keeps being added to - won't be returning despite the location.

Excellent site in great location by river and lake in mountain valley.
Far too many computer generated emails in week before arrival but all staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming on arrival and throughout stay.
Camping fields are well kept and although cars are not allowed by tent they are parked on edge of your selected field (I was not using electric hook-up area).
Big minus from me is that cash was not accepted in shop, so I bought supplies off site in order to keep within budget…so only 5 for site facilities.
Hope to be back next year.
