We booked the day before via the website, easy. Not so easy was what field to book in or sort of pitch.
Site was easy to find not far from the M4 and when we arrived were advised to go in the bottom adult-only field, not the top family field, which had a flight of wooden steps down to the facilities.
Toilets and showers were clean but we did not use them after dark as the paths were not well lit.
Shop was not open so can't comment on that.

Just got back from our first ever 'proper' camping trip. Apart from the weather- which the campsite couldn't influence- it was a lovely stay.
The owners are great and staff very friendly. We had plenty of space for our pitch and the site was very clean.
Some reviews I have read mention about the lack of toilets etc but I personally never had to wait for one. There was always toilet roll, they were always clean and I was impressed.
There was a central bin area for recycling, general waste etc which was very well organised.
The bar was lovely and the site well located for visiting different places eg the Showcaves and Brecon Beacons and Swansea and the Mumbles. Easy to find supermarkets and overall a well situated site.
We knew there were not heaps of facilities here on booking but what was there was very well maintained.
A quiet and peaceful site and worth the money. Thank you.

As always a wonderfully relaxing stay at Riverview on the River Meadow site.
Rob and Sian as ever, very helpful and welcoming to myself and pooch in the motorhome.
Toilet block and showers immaculate and warm. Night time park lighting is subdued enough to find your way to the loo and enjoy the stars on your way!
Wifi great. Great place to relax, plenty of birdsong to enjoy.
The woodland walk and dog meadow are superb.
Highly recommend this site which has a lovely shop featuring local produce, laundry room also available.
Easily accessible from M4 with opportunities to explore West Wales but only an hour from Brecon Beacons.
Have stayed during high and low seasons and standards never slip. Thanks

I’ll start by saying this could have been lower, but it grew on me a little.
Booked as it had 5* in the AA guide for toilets etc, and that is all I am permitted to look at (wife’s orders).
The surrounding area is lovely. Pembrey country park is an outstanding facility with as good a beach as you will ever find. Great bike track too along the coast.
The site is between 2 major roads and near the end of the M4… take ear plugs. Roaring traffic (mostly motorbikes treating like a race track) awoke us every morning around 0500.
The site has clearly expanded, but the facilities haven’t. I will admit Covid rules are a factor, but I’m guessing at least 50 pitches in use, and there were
2 washing up sinks
2 male showers
1 urinal
3 cubicles
As with any campsite one cubicle is out of order at any time… meaning only 2. Not enough.
Also, I get a feeling our ‘pitch’ wasn’t once a pitch, but the staycation boom made it so. We were on a VERY sloped pitch, guessing 8% or more. I really wasn’t sure how to pitch, we went uphill. Made sleeping hard, everything fell over (off table etc), and had it of rained we’d have been met with a river flowing in. We left before the forecasted rains came. 4 days early… but the inevitable was coming.
All the hard standing pitches in that top section were level, pity the grass ones not so… but where we were was ridiculous.
I think they need to decide on small intimate site or larger, in which case the amenities need doubling.

Great location and lovely site, especially mid-week. Weekends can be a bit busy with youngsters playing music & shouting.
The site is in between the A48 and the A483, so it does get noise from both these main roads, day & night.
We had a fully serviced pitch on the smaller field and it all worked really well except the infrequent rubbish disposal.
The dog meadow was great with lots of wild flowers including loads of orchids and the adjacent gorse meadow was nice too though you needed to check for sheep before going there with dog.
We found it easy to access the Gower, the Brecon Beacons, the Towi estuary and Tenby. Oh and Swansea! There was a big Tesco 10 minutes away at Pontarddulais and various local convenience stores within a few minutes.
We may well be back.

Lovely site with easy access from main roads. We stopped in the family field which was good for us, there is no playground but space for play and games in the family field. There is also a separate adult only field too.
The wardens were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcome and answer queries about places to go etc.
The facilities were spotless and despite there only being 2 showers each in men's/women's (4 total), we never queued even at August bank holiday. Our pitch was nearest the road and there was some slight road noise but this wasn't intrusive or a problem, however we were out of range for the free WiFi. There is a small shop on-site with the basics.
All in all a nice site, however there is nothing in the immediate vicinity, so you need a car each day.

Excellent site we found by accident in a camping magazine despite living only 15 mins down the road. We had a lovely warm welcome from the owner and then introduced to the warden who showed us to our pitch and also gave us a choice as the site was quite the weekend we were there. We chose the pitch right at the top of the steps leading to the toilet block which was level with easy access. The toilet/shower block was lovely and warm with hot water all day round.
The owners and the wardens always made time to stop and talk and to tell us about the lovely walks around the site. We will definitely be returning to this site. Only downside (and I am being fussy) is that although there is a large grass play area for the children, a park area would make this a perfect site.

Booked for the Bank Holiday as event nearby. No pub, shop unless you got on the dual carriageway and visited McD. Pitches not generous and a bit haphazard. Nice walk uphill to area catering for children, tents and 'vans and dog walk. Charging for dogs (have 2) added up the costs for weekend.
Toilet block was OK and clean, but the amount of tenters and children queueing for showers etc was inadequate.
