My first ever trip to Wales, and what a good experience. I was made to feel welcome on my arrival, despite having problems with the online booking service.
The site is baisically two fields, on for tents one for motorhomes and caravans, with a limited number of electric hook ups.
Two toilets and two showers (free)plenty of hot water but not entirley disabled friendly. Nice little hut to keep you dry when you wash your dishes, again plenty of hot water.
The site is in the grounds of a pub/hotel which serves excellent real ale plus the fizzy stuff and had a good selection of spirits.
I did not try the food, but the plates I saw being delivered to tables looked invitingly good and I heard excellent comments from diners as they were leaving.
Would I go back, yes!. Despite inclement weather on my trip, (which lets be honest, can happen anywhere) I enjoyed my foray to the land of the dragon, the leek and the daffodil.

Wow!
Excellent stay, made to feel very welcome, also in the pub by the staff, locals and owner.
Brilliant services, no hassle. Very pleasant stay if only for one night.
Will definitely be retuning

Tracy, the owner was very friendly and helpful. Good camping ground with clean, well equipped and recently refurbished facilities.
Welcoming pub with outside seating overlooking the garden and large pond / small lake. A choice of good ales and a good selection of tasty well presented food.
It was just what we were hoping for and there was nothing we didn't like.

This is a great little site and well worth a visit. At the risk of being boring the review by Nordic 1 in Sept 2018 says it all.
What really did impress is the helpfulness and friendly reception by the owner and her staff. We made a last minute booking to try out our new camper van and the owner went out of her way to sort us out as they were expecting several other bookings.
As it turned out we had plenty of room on the caravan/ motor home field (all grass) and no problem for EHU. The restaurant serves pub meals at reasonable prices and can get very busy on Saturdays.
We were expecting family to join us for a meal but circumstances prevented this but again it was no problem for the staff. Excellent location for visits to Snowdonia and Denbighshire ( Llyn Brenig is 15 mins away for fly fishers, with Lyn Allaw even closer )
Will be visiting again I’m sure.

There is nothing to dislike about this site, the 2 fields are laid out great with plenty of space between units. One field is for tents and one for caravans with plenty of electric hook ups.
The owners are very friendly and helpful and the inn that they run does exceptional food at reasonable prices. We will definitely be returning later this year.

5 Star+ site at budget prices!
Absolutely great. Present owners took over the site three years ago and have been improving the site facilities, the pub and B&B accommodation ever since. There is currently no play facilities for children. The site owners and staff in the pub/restaurant could not be more friendly and helpful.
Toilets showers and pan wash area have been recently renewed. The site is well drained with plenty of room between EHC's and easy reach of all facilities. A 15 minute drive to nearest shops but ideally placed as a launch pad for Snowdonia and North Wales. Whilst close to the A5 for easy access, you have to listen very hard if you want to hear the traffic.
Food in the restaurant is very good and at very competitive prices. (Fish and chips here are the same prices as a 'takeway' in the local town chip shops).
Enjoyed a few days rest there and will certainly re-visit the site.

A warm welcome was had here by the owner and the locals in this Batham's pub, which is the only one in Wales. Sampled quite a few pints of the Best Bitter which was in good condition the both night we called in. Very nice pub food with a good selection on the menu. Dog friendly as well.
The campsite itself was very level with 5 hook up points. Plenty of area to walk the dog and a small lake. Facilities on site are basic but adequate. Would stay again when in the area

A small level site situated in the Snowdonia countryside at a Pub. The site is reasonably level and you are left to find a pitch of your choice. I had tried to phone to book a pitch however it seems impossible to get hold of the owner even after leaving a message. Anyway turned up and pitched and saw owner later when the pub opened.
The toilet facilities are very basic though the showers were hot enough, children's play area was overgrown and in need of rescuing as was the washing up area.
The remaining grounds are taken up with a tent field and a lake. The on site pub is a typical local country pub serving basic pub food which was well cooked but could have had a bit more choice.
The owner is very friendly and appears keen to grow the business, we were made to feel welcome and had a very enjoyable evening in the pub.
The site fee of £17 for 2 plus unit seems ok however I believe that the standard of facilities let the site down. A bit of extra work on the site would make it a site which was well worth the money.
Would I visit again probably not the pub would be worth a stop but there is a cl less than 5 mins along the road which was in immaculate condition with what appeared to be a new toilet/shower block, so I would probably stay there and walk to the pub.

Just been for one night - had a lovely time.
Two fields, one for tents and one for caravans with electricity. We didn't use the electric - it was £17 for our van and two adults. Pub food was lovely, filling and reasonably priced with lots of choice. Menu's on the website. Everyone really friendly and helpful.
There's two unisex shower/toilet rooms and two other unisex toilets. I didn't have a shower but I did notice the floor was very wet - but the previous person could have mopped it up no problem.
The only thing I thought was that as the whole floor was soaking it was a bit of a pain that the clothes hook was out of reach on the back of the door - and there was no chair or anything in there to put your stuff on so you'd have to walk across the floor to the back of the door to get your towel etc.
