Excellent location virtually next door to Sway train station which is on the mainline between Waterloo and Weymouth. Sway has an excellent deli/cafe, ideal for breakfast, and 2 pubs both in easy walking distance.

Site is down a narrow track with sharp turns under a railway bridge so check beforehand if you have a large unit. Camping area consists of two fields both with hardstandings and electric.

The first field is nearest to the amenities toilets/ showers/ washing up stations but will be busier due to other campers walking through.

We stayed in the lower "Meadows" field which is quieter but only has water/ CDP and a washing up station which isn't really as it was only a Belfast sink with cold water.

It does have the the dog walk though. The site is very picturesque and quiet with minimal noise from the trains which pass on a high embankment.

The owner met us on arrival and was very helpful. Unfortunately the site is only open July and August due to difficulties in the past getting units off site in unseasonal weather. No issues during our stay.

Only negatives are you will need to bring a plug to use the washing up sinks and the site is as expensive as a fully serviced club site. No doubt it is due to it's location and time of year but worth considering.

We would definitely stay again due to location. Recommended.

Another lovely stay at Rushcroft Farm.

As usual Mark and Lynn were great hosts and the site is in good nick.

The Silver Hind pub was also handy with CoOp on the main street in Sway. All good.

A really warm welcome from Mark when we arrived

Facilities were clean and available when we needed them

A quiet site apart from the odd train passing by, but that didn't spoil our experience

And, right in the New Forest but with Sway Station, a village pub with food, and a local Co-Op within a few minutes walk. There's even a nice cafe nearby

Goats, Horses and Donkeys can be seen on the farm and the owners offer an introduction to the animals 6 days a week

Dog friendly as well

A very nice site in pleasant surroundings with all the amenities you need nearby.

The campsite was spotless and the owners very friendly.

It was handy having a railway station within 7 minutes walking distance as we like to use the train.

We hope to return again next year.

This is a really nice site, well located in the New Forest for all the attractions. P

Itches are really large, there's no problem with hook up, facilities or segregation of types of rig as there are in other places.

We base ourselves here for local trips and to get to the beaches that arent too far away.

Nice site, lovely countryside views, close to railway but trains are every half hour and don’t run at night (useful for getting around though if you want to leave your van pitched)

Co-op and budgens nearby and great walking and cycling country.

Facilities are basic but spotless. Maybe over busy when site is full.

Overall would definitely recommend.

We had a long drive to the site from home but the welcome from Mark was really professional and we pitched quickly on a great plot.

The site is well equipped, quiet (despite the railway which has plenty of trains but they are electric-powered and relatively quiet).

The access to the shops and local pubs is close by and there is a good, local selection.

The mixture of units was also nice to see. There's plenty to do locally and the main beaches at Bournemouth are only 13 miles away.

Lovely quiet rural site, ideal if you want to get away from it all.

Toilets and shower were spotless.

Fantastic location within walking distance of pubs and shops and train station.

Although the train passes right behind the site, it doesn’t bother you at all.

Would definitely return as it’s an ideal location for walking in the forest, and to lovely villages, but also nice and peaceful.

We had lovely food sat the silver hind.

Only negatives were the shower in oak meadow- it was scolding hot. The toilet in oak meadow, although clean, I wretched when I flushed, and the lack of wifi. If the weather’s bad Wifi is a must.

A warm welcome when we arrived at this well-kept site. Very narrow approach lane, pleased we didn't meet anything coming the other way! A steep walk back up this lane to the village, from which a community bus runs into Lymington (limited service and not on Sundays).

We caught a train into Christchurch and then a bus to Mudeford, a lovely day out, leaving our motorhome on site.

There are at least four trains an hour running past the campsite, not all of them stop at Sway. Although they do not run throughout the night, the first in the morning is at 05:30!

Facilities were OK, basic but clean.

Probably wouldn't return because of the steep, narrow lane and the frequent trains but nevertheless enjoyed our short stay.
