Have returned from a weekend at this site. This is a lovely site when looking away from the toilets and showers. The pitches are more sloping than I expected, but are generous in size. But oh dear the showers and toilets are woeful. These have to be the worst I have come across and to top it all I had to pay 20 pence for every 3 mins I stood in them. It felt like someone has gone to their shed, found odd bits of wood, plumbing and other bits and thrown them together to make what they believe to be 2 showers. This is the same next door with the 2 toilets although they where a good size. All these desperately need sorting. If sorted this site is in a great location and would be a great site to visit

We enjoyed our stay on this site, our first of this type. We were greeted by a friendly warden who made sure we knew where to pitch and checked we were OK. We were on a hard standing pitch with electric and we had booked this online. Toilet and shower facilities are clean and perfectly adequate but beware the short time allocation on the light timer switch! The site is just a few minutes walk from the village with a general store, great butchers, a pub and the station. It is ideal for campers without transport. The lane which leads to the site is very narrow and it is worth asking someone to walk down to check it is clear before progressing if you are towing or driving a motor home. Overall, a lovely few days.

Stumbled across this wonderful site. Lovely clean showers/toilets, spacious pitches, really friendly owners. The site is only a short walk from the village of sway with a few good pubs and necessity shops. There's a little farm shop that's open for a hour in the morning (beware the farm sausages come frozen so buy the day before use!) There is a railway track close by but I didn't hear the trains running in the night-think they must stop around 10. 30pm. Will definitely be going back!

A really nice tidy site. Some pitches with hard standings and all with Electric.

The approach road is narrow but caused us no issues.

Two unisex showers with toilet and basin ( showers take 20p pieces), two further unisex toilets. These are housed in an out building but they were always clean and the showers lovely and hot.

There is a dish wash area inside and another outside and a fridge for campers use.

There is a railway line that runs close to the site but it isn't particularly busy and caused us no issue.

Lovely and peaceful with lots of birds to listen to.

It takes about 10 minutes to walk up the road (unlit) to Sway. Here you will find the Station, Post Office / Newsagents / Convenience Store/ Pub / Deli / Butchers & Greengrocers and a Bus stop.

The farm sells it's own produce (eggs and meat). The owners introduced themselves and were polite, but un intrusive.

I would definitely visit again and would recommend this site, though perhaps not for disabled people as there are steps up to toilets / showers and the hill into town is fairly steep.

There are no facilities for children but it is fenced and safe.

Great site. Pitches are spacious and site is well maintained. Showers/toilets are clean and well maintained.

Easy to find and great for transport links (especially the train!).

Quiet site with all ages there who respected the other campers.

Owners helpful and friendly - prolonged stay with no problems.

As there are no facilities other than showers/toilets/washing up facilities the site is very quiet but that is exactly what we liked about it!

There is a shop about a 10 minute stroll away (and butchers/post office/chemist/pub.

Wonderful location!

The camping area is small and we'll maintained. Following all the rain recently some areas were a bit damp but dry pitches were available for all. Facilities are well maintained, even though there are only 2 showers we never found any delay. The farm shop sells lovely produce the sausages were beautiful. The village is a short walk away (take a torch if coming back after dark) and has a shop, newsagents and a couple of pubs.

The location is great for the New Forest with Burley and Brockenhurst only a few minutes drive.

Our first visit to Rushcroft farm. The site looks well kept, grass mowed, pitches generous size, nice flower baskets at entrance. No 'welcome' from site staff/owners, on arrival, just a notice asking guests to look at board for pitch allocated, which we thought a little impersonal. Site manager appeared some while after our arrival. Services sited in an outdoor enclosure, water, chemical disposable point, grey water, washing up facility. Siting chemical disposal point so close to washing up facility not ideal. Blockage in chemical disposal point highlighted this! The railway is close to the site and although trains not very frequent, noise difficult to ignore. We felt that 2 toilets/washing up sink in one block and 2 showers with toilets inside cubicles in another, were not adequate even when site not very busy and a fair distance from those in tents. We saw no evidence of regular cleaning of facilities in the week we stayed, mirrors in toilets not cleaned at all! Appreciate it is difficult to make old buildings look 'modern' and fresh but it has been done on several sites. Overall we found this site impersonal and the state of the facilities fell well below other sites we have visited. It is a nice location and good base for visits to many 'places of interest but we would not use this site again.

Stayed at Rushcroft Farm for 3 evenings on the May Bank Holiday. We (my wife, son and I) were in our new Hi-Gear Gobi Elite 4 tent (4 man).

We were the first to turn up on Friday morning and the site was a little muddy due to recent rain. Unfortunately despite booking they had forgot to reserve a pitch for us so we were put on the grass next to the hard standing pitch for caravans as this was last place with Electric Hookup Point.

We were on a slight hill but it did not cause too much of an issue. Given choice I would sooner have been in the rear field as it was flatter and the views were nicer (we were facing the trees with the railway line).

The site Warden's were nice and friendly and showed us what we needed to know.

We did not spent too much time on site as we were here to explore the New Forest and this site is in a good location to use as a base to do this.

When we returned in the early evening on Friday, the site was now quite busy. You do get some noise from the trains, but you tend not to notice this.

The facilities were clean and in good order. The village is a 10 minute walk away and has some shops (though we did not get chance to use these - they have 09:00 - 17:00 opening hours).

There are 2 showers, both of which also have toilets, there are then 2 other unisex toilets. Giving a total of 4 toilets on site. Personally I think given how busy it was, it would have been better with separate toilets as there was often a queue (I don't mind queuing for a shower but toilet is something else!)

Overall its a pleasant site, well priced and an excellent location for exploring the New Forest.

We stayed at Rushcroft Farm for 5 nights over Easter 2014.

The camp-site was quite busy as it was the Easter holidays.

A five minute walk gets you into the village, we ate at the Silver Hind on our first night- good food but pretty expensive.

Very good shop in the village that sells just about everything including a very good selection of vegetables and fruit.

Unfortunately the dog walk belonging to the site was very wet so couldn't use it which was a shame as walking around the village wasn't very much exercise for our very energetic Springer-doodle Martha.

The toilet and shower blocks really need to be updated, the showers cost 20p for three minutes which is fine but it took me quite a while to get the right temperature and on my first visit I had to leave the shower with shampoo still in my hair!

Please please put some sanitary bins in the toilets.

Overall a good stay but needs a makeover

Stayed for a week during which the 'big storm' arrived, although it didn't really affect us or the site itself.

Lovely quiet site but there were only 6 units there when we stayed. Makes sure you have a torch with you, it's very dark at night. Yes you can hear the trains but didn't notice them much. Easy 5 min walk to the village which has a londis, couple of pubs, pharmacy, deli and butcher. The train station gives access to a lot of the forest and further afield if you don't fancy driving.

My main issue with the site is the facilities or lack of them. There are just 2 unisex toilets and 2 showers which also have a toilet in them. The info board at the site says it has 30 pitches, how can 2 showers and 2 toilets cope? The cleaning of the facilities also is not up to standard.

Would not stay here again because of the facilities but would return to the area.
