A lovely rural site with very welcoming and helpful wardens, clean facilities, yes there are trains, but you get used to them very quickly, and the local pub (the Silver Hind) is great, if a little unconventional! Local shop and Pharmacy 5 mins walk should you need them, and Dog's are welcome everywhere in Sway.
The local station is on the lane down to the site and the ferry to the IoW is only 15 minutes away, we will be returning.

We have just returned from another 3 night stay at Rushcroft Farm. This is our second trip and I would highly recommend this campsite!
It's a small site, albeit near the train line, but this is hardly noticeable. It's set in a beautiful and peaceful location. It's a 5 minute walk to the shop/post office/pub with restaurant and train station.
Some of the pitches are sloping but it's nothing too bad. The second field is open during busier times and is more or less flat.
The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The farm shop on site sell some amazing fresh produce.
The showers and toilets are alway clean and although you have to pay 20p for the shower, we don't mind this at all, as the price for the pitch is so cheap - unlike other campsites in the new forest which are always over crowded and over priced!
All in all this is a excellent campsite, and would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

A wonderful little site, really friendly couple working the always available should you need any help.
A fantastic farm shop on site selling meat reared on the farm. The sausages were amazing.
We had two children with us how loved running around and we were happy to let them. They were lucky enough to watch the farm animals having a feed.
We also had two dogs with us, loads and loads of forest walks on the doorstep.
Easy to reach some great places: brockenhurst, lined hurst, mudeford to name a few.
All in all a delight to camp for a week. We will return!

Rushcroft Farm site was ideal for us. We like a very laid back holiday. The site was quiet and the train line near the site did not bother us. The wardens were very friendly and helpful. We did go before the school holidays so the shower and toilets were not stretched for waiting time. The toilets and showers were basic but clean. We met some lovely people wilst on our stay and the weather was amazing for the whole fortnight. We would definitely visit again.

Just returned from a amazing weekend again at rushcroft farm. Met loads of people we have met here before. The owners still friendly and helpful, a very clean and quite site. Walking and cycling 5 mins from forest. Kids loved it. Lesley and ken the wardens were great. Looking forward to returning. We had a meal at the hare and hounds well worth the money. Also fresh free range meat for sale from farm shop very handy for the bbq.

My Son I have have just got back from a 3 night stay at Rushcroft farm. As the other reviews say, nice clean site and plenty of space for the kids to run around and the pitches are not too close to each other. All in all a nice site BUT, a lot of the tent pitches are on a slope which was an issue to us, it was like living on a sinking ship!. Also the shower has almost no pressure! and make sure you have a good supply of 20p's for the shower.

The good parts are the location is fantastic for visiting the new forest and the pitch sizes are excellent albeit some are on slopes ! The bad points are there are only 2 washing up sinks which neither ever had hot water. The toilets never had soap or any hand drying facilities and the showers are 20p for three mins which would be ok if it didn't take half that time to warm up ! It is a shame that with just a few simple changes this could be a lovely site

We stayed here for 4 nights on a standard pitch during August. The site was pretty basic with hardstanding & EHU also available. They are also quite limited with pitch sizes so check before booking if you have a large tent!
There were only 4 toilets (2 of those were in the shower cubicles) and 2 washing up facilities both of which never had hot water!
The site itself if a few mins walk from Sway train station & village shops although you can here the trains pass by quite often.

Hi, Just returned from our 2nd visit to this friendly little site. We stayed for 3 nights over May bank holiday. 2 toilets with wash basins and 2 showers with toilets and wash basins(both supplied with loo roll and kept clean) 2 clean washing up areas. We didn't have to queue for any of the facilities. The wardens were very helpful and polite. Yes there is a train line very close which I already knew about but the birds chirping in the mornings wake you before the first train goes by. The ground was a bit soft but it did rain the whole of April. I would definitely go back again and yes I would recommend.
