Lovely site with friendly owners who kept the facilities meticulously clean. We camped in the non electric hookup camping field which was perfect except portaloos are not the nicest thing to use and as always got a bit smelly. This meant we did use the toilets and showers in the main block which were lovely.
If the campsite had been full I'm not sure there would be enough facilities.
Picked up lots of ticks but we were warned. Heard the trains but they didn't disturb us. Great to have the village shops so close and the local deli did a superb breakfast.

We usually stay at Setthorns, but when CITF decided not to re-open we found this place instead.
The entrance is a bit awkward - though we never met any traffic on the narrow lane, the entrance from the back of the carpark was a bit tight with parked cars.
We had a lovely sunny pitch with plenty of space, facilities were basic but clean (though we mostly used our own). Great location for walking into Sway or cycling to the coast.
We probably won't visit again though - there's nothing wrong with the campsite, but we prefer the back to nature feel of Setthorns.

Quiet site. Facilities are minimal but sufficient. Shops and train station are close.
Great for a quiet getaway.
Has facilities to bring your own horse.

This site is perfectly located to explore the New Forest National Park. The only slightly drawback was the extremely narrow lane (which the owners clearly state on their website) which had to be navigated to gain entry and exit the site.
There is a very busy garage at the start of the lane at which people seem to abandon their cars and we had to ask the, extremely pleasant and helpful, garage owner to move a car so we could get out.
The site was very quiet during our stay and we were able to use the shower and toilet facilities without too much waiting, however I imagine when things are busy this could change.
The portaloos on the camping field were horrible even though they were cleaned regularly, but other facilities were available.
Overall this was a lovely site, efficiently run by the very pleasant owners.

We just spent 2 nights at this lovely farm campsite in the village of Sway.
The site staff were very welcoming and friendly and we were 2 family units - 1 retired couple one young couple with an 11 month old baby.
It was great to be able to go up and see the donkeys and goats that the farm has.
The couple who run the site have done everything they possibly can to ensure that all their campers are as safe as possible with a thorough implementation of Covid19 measures And the facilities were all spotlessly clean.

Site was well presented and maintained. Hosts were friendly and helpful. The toilet and showers in the main block were clean.
There was a small fridge with small freezer part, which was good but I can imagine that if the site was very busy this would soon get full. The freezer compartment was full and site was quiet.
Railway station close so handy to go on the train but we didn’t use this. The noise was minimal from the train line.
Nearest pub didn’t do food, but the pub on the other side of the village was only 25 minute walk and food was good.

A lovely little farm site. Nice views, clean facilities, very well organised. Helpful wardens. Near a rail line, but well screened by trees, and no fast trains, so no unpleasant noise.
And a station close by for trains to local towns. A short walk to the centre of the village, for pubs, shops, deli/cafe, butchers.
Hardstandings not entirely level, so you may need a ramp or whatever. Would be very pleased to visit again.

Stayed here for 4 nights and had a good time. Site is quite, toilets are clean. The site is near Sway station, the trains are not a disturbance, hardly noticed them.
Short walk into Sway where there is a general store open early, closed late. Newsagent, pubs, chemist. We used the train a couple of times, its so convenient, stops at all the popular destinations and cheap too. Some of the pitches have gentle slopes, all well kept.
We saw deer in the woods nearby. Wardens friendly, sensible rules. Would we stay here again ? Definitely.

I really cannot fault this little site.
Scrupulously clean with immaculate grounds, set down a track past the local station. We were met at the gate by a helpful, friendly warden and told that bringing the dog was not problem even though we had forgotten to book her in.
We stayed on the quiet camping field with level and large grass and gravel electric pitches.
The backpackers field has a wild meadow middle with numbered grass areas around the edge and is bordered by a pretty, shallow stream.
We used the free portaloo style showers which were clean with good shower heads. The portaloo style toilets were basic but functioning and clean. There were 'proper' toilets and showers in the main field if required.
The trains that run above the site are close but infrequent and can hardly be heard.
The forest and heath are within walking distance and it is perfectly placed as a base for visiting the touristy spots.
Great value for money if you're looking for somewhere quiet with no frills.
Will definitely be coming back

Potentially a lovely site. Can't fault the fields, hardstanding pitches, & area. The railway line was a bit loud but not that bad. However the facilities were not great.
They need a good revamp & a lot of bleach. Not many toilets/showers but I never needed to wait. 20p for the showers but I tried without and it worked Ok. The base filled with water straight away as didn't drain away well. Could do with sanitary bins in the toilets.
Not sure that 2 washing up sinks were enough.
Quiet site but wouldn't return as plenty of others to try out!
