Spent a weekend at this wonderful peaceful site. The owners were great hosts, being very friendly and giving their site a great relaxed atmosphere. Paid 12 a night plus 2 for electric.

Site very sheltered and sunny. One thing we found is that we could not get onto the beach at Atwick, we ended doing the cliff top walk to Hornsea. It was a nice walk but if we were planning on heading straight to beach then we would have been disappointed.

We stayed here for a couple of days to see what the site was like for future visits as we have friends who live in Hornsea. The site is a lovely, small, quiet site with beautiful surroundings. There is a pub 5 mins walk from the site, which we didn't manage to visit, but it was always busy which is a good sign.

The owners are really friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be visiting this site again in the future. Thankyou.

What a little gem of a site! My husband, two children and I have just returned from a two night stay at this camp site. The owner was so polite, kind and helpful. He made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived until the time we left. There is plenty of space to pitch your caravan and a lovely open space for children to play ball or chase in. The electric hook up was totally reliable and the WIFI was better than ours at home! There was a portaloo which was clean and worked well. The shower block is currently underway and the owner hopes it will be finished next year.

There are chickens which roam around and the owner was kind enough to give my daughter the two freshly laid eggs he collected when she went to ask him if they had laid any.

The village is very quiet and relaxing with just a pub on the corner. It is worth knowing that the pub does sell some essentials eg; bacon, bread, milk, cheese etc.

The village is also well positioned for visiting places eg: Hornsea, Skipsea, Beverley and Bridlngton was only about 14 miles away.

This was our first trip away in a touring caravan (having bought it only a week previously). Luckily, we didn't have any major problems, but if we had, I would be confident that the owners would have done everything they could have to help us.

We shall definitely be returning soon.

My wife and I stayed here in our motorhome for 2 nights from Tuesday 22nd July 2015

The site was a little difficult to find as there are no signs from the main road (there is a sign in the middle of the village pointing to another site on the coast). The road to Church View is up a narrow road for about 300 yards and can be found on the right hand side.

We were met by the owner, who told us we were free to select any free site – the only others on the site was a couple in a caravan and a single lad in a tent.

The site is grass and flat with electric hook-ups close to hand. There is one water tap (another is being positioned).

I understand that this is the second year that the site has been operating and the owner is striving hard to improve things. There is a toilet and shower block being built but as of our visit there are no shower facilities and there is only 1 toilet (a port-a-loo).

It takes about 5 minutes to walk into the village where one can catch buses (about 4 a day) to either Bridlington or Hornsea (with connections to Hull) There is a pub in the village where, at £3. 55 for a pint I found it rather expensive.

There is a coastal path to Hornsea which takes about 50 minutes.

In the brief period we were there we found it extremely peaceful and the site owner cannot do too much to help one’s stay enjoyable and, overall, have no hesitation of recommending it as a base for touring, or relaxing in peace and quiet (cannot speak of Sundays it being near a church).

Beware of first impressions, we turned up wonderful looking site. Nice owner. But we were bothered by a intermittent strong smell of drains, not muck spreading. Several people left early. One night there were 9 caravans and two tents, quite snug for a small site. We were disappointed overall as were the others we spoke to who left.

This site has no toilets or showers in itself not an issue, but for the money we expected a little more.

What a lovely peaceful little site No showers as yet, toilet was a porta loo but clean a functional. Free wifi which Grandsons made good use of. Good sized flat pitches, the owners were there if needed but not in your face. We usually go to bigger sites with things for grandsons to do and thought this may be too quiet for them but how wrong I was they really enjoyed it and can't wait to go back the dog also enjoyed it having a bit of freedom We will be retuning to this camp site

We have just had 3 lovely days away on this very tranquil site, Sally and Ian are very helpful and very friendly, looking forward to returning to see this site unfold, Ian is just in the process of building a new shower and toilet block, and from what Sally was saying there are more exciting things happening in the future, well worth a visit to this site. We will be returning soon.

Lovely quiet site in a good location. Very friendly and helpful site owners. Fantastic pub within 2 mins walk. Children and dogs very welcome at the pub and food was lovely. Ideal to visit Beverley and Bridlington. Only thing missing on site is a proper toilet and shower. I believe this is on the plans for the future. Will definitely visit again.

One of the best sites we have visited.

Very quiet and tranquil.

Ian and Sally are the most welcoming people!

The site itself was very well kept.

Ian was very helpful when needed for example on hand to help when our caravan wheel fell down!

We arrived as strangers and left as friends.

We're looking forward to returning as soon as possible.

When you need Ian, look in the deckchair!

Just spent a week at this lovely little campsite where we were greeted by the owner, Ian, who was very helpful in sorting out a suitable pitch for us and kindly leant us an extension lead for our EHU.

The site is in a lovely rural location and is away from the road so there is next to no noise at night from traffic. The facilities are very basic at the moment but they are arranging for a shower block to be built and should hopefully be ready for next season. The ground was soft but firm, meaning that most of the tent pegs went in without the need for a mallet. There was a bit of a strong breeze which made it awkward to get the tent pitched, but a friendly couple from a caravan next to us helped out with holding the tent in place.

The start of the week saw some dreadful weather courtesy of Hurricane Bertha and we stayed in the tent (mainly due to fears of it disappearing towards the North Sea!) and the owners came to check that we were OK. Fortunately, the bad weather meant that we were on site to help rescue a motorhome that had become stuck in the mud - the combined efforts from the site owners, and the 3 of us ( myself, my wife and our 7 year old son) helped them free their motorhome and get them safely on their way.

The cliffs are only a short walk away through the village of Atwell where there is also a pub that serves meals.

Our son had a lot of fun running about and feeding the 2 very friendly chickens who came by the tent every day! We were sad to leave but many thanks to Ian and Sally for making this a great week, you couldn't have been more welcoming - We will no doubt be back again!
