A wonderfully peaceful and pretty little site in a country setting. The owner was incredibly welcoming and very flexible with arrival and departure times. A portaloo was provided along with drinking water facilities and sinks. Plans were clearly in place for a shower block in the near future, and building materials were evident on site to begin construction soon. We knew that this site was without shower facilities prior to arrival. Having a tourer meant this didn't matter to us anyway! In fact the friendly owner even showed us photographs of the proposed plans. The site was beautifully kept, situated within the grounds of the owners home and made for the perfect weekend getaway in our tourer. The 16amp electrical hook up was great and the site exceeded our expectations. We both feel that this little gem will soon be very difficult to book at short notice once the shower and toilet block has been built. Very hospitable and extremely reasonably priced. We will be back! Thank you

This is our second visit to Church View, needed an overnight stay to chill out, perfect location for this, Since our last visit the washing up sink had been added and I know that the toilet facilities will be improved shortly, this was not a problem for us as we were in a caravan. Lovely friendly and helpful owners will definitely be going back.

We stayed at church view campsite for the weekend. This is a lovely, quiet site only a few minutes walk into a very pretty little village, and only a few more minutes to the sea front. The facilities on the site are basic, but for a weekend camping what more do you need? Plus a new toilet/shower block is being built which should be up and running for next season. The owners are very friendly and helpful, as we found when we tried to leave. We got stuck in our motorhome as it had been raining overnight. Ian and his wife helped us to get out, as did everyone else on the site, including a five year old lad! This site has only been open for 6 months, 10 out of 10 for such a good site in such a short time. Would definitely go there again.

Excellent little site very sheltered grass pitch with very sunny aspect. Only basic facility's but that's good there, s a portaloo if you don't want to use your own fresh water electric hook ups and a outdoor sink for campers. Location was excellent for us as we need to be near Hornsea to visit friends an dot is in a very pretty little village 2 min walk take, s you to the pub which doesn't mind Dogs inside good for us again if you walk 10 mins more your on edge og the cliff looking down on the beach. It, s very steep we didn do that but I think there are steps down. Ian and Sally are on site all time as there bungalow adjoins, they are very helpful and we understand this is a new business for them and intend to make further improvements by way of a proper toilets and shower unit. The site is very handy for Hornsea and Flamborough and not to far from Beverley, we will return soon I hope they don't get to busy it is very nice we wish them success with there venture. Kevin Maria. C Grimsby. We only mark low for child friendly as I think this is really a Adults only due to the basic facility's kids are better catered for on larger sites.

Excellent small secluded campsite, only let down was the lack of showers, a sink for washing that had a bath tap so pretty useless as it wasn't even over the bowl and the portaloo was a completely disgusting health hazard that did not flush and stank.
We would return when showers and a proper toilet block is installed.

A little gem of a campsite situated in a small village, 5 minutes walk from a very welcoming traditional pub which serves meals and accepts dogs.
The grass was flat and well maintained and the owners were welcoming and friendly, but left you to it.
As it was a relatively new campsite there was a toilet, and water but the owner said that it was an ongoing project where he was sorting out better washing up/and toilet facilities.
There were new electric hookup points which I didn't use and when I arrived I was able to pitch up where I wanted.
Will return when I am in the area

We stayed here at Easter and all we can say is that the owners saved our trip !
I forgot to pack the tent inner (doh!) but they came to the rescue offering us use of their 4-man tent, with them even helping us to put it up. You couldn't have asked for friendlier hosts!
This is a small, new site, without lots of facilities but the owners were happy to let campers use the bathroom facilities in the holiday cottage that was empty over that weekend.
Without that, camping would have been a bit of a struggle BUT it does state on the website that there aren't any shower or washing up facilities.
The owners were often seen around the site and even brought out Easter Eggs to the children on Easter Sunday which was a lovely touch.
The village itself is quiet with one pub, but a short drive will get you into Hornsea or the regular markets if you go north.
This site will develop over time and with the enthusiasm and personalities of both the owners it will be a great success!

What a find! A great CL site that's well worth a visit! We've just spent the Bank Holiday at this little gem in our motorhome. The owners were really welcoming and friendly when we arrived on speck Friday evening. Luckily they had a space on this quiet, well screened, private site. We plugged in, set up and enjoyed the evening sun before taking the short walk to the Black Horse pub for a meal. Definitely recommend Church View and we will be going back again

The owner is a true gent, what a brilliant site, for those wanting a nice setting with a chilled out owner this is the place. Right price and good to see someone wanting to allow campers to enjoy themselves with out trying to rip them off like so many sites these days. Keep it up your doing an excellent job. From the claytons and Bucknell families.

Just spent 2 nights here over Easter. One of the only sites I found that hadn't hiked prices up. We (me hubby & toddler) loved it. The owners were so friendly and helpful and obviously care about what they are doing. We were given hula hoops and a football to play with and Easter morning all the children on site were given an Easter bun. The facilities are basic, porta-loo, drinking water tap and waste disposal tap. Been in a tent we had no where to wash up so the fabulous owners actually did our washing up for us, BONUS. The loo also became rather full and quite grim but again fabulous hosts to the rescue, they opened up the rental cottage for people to use the bathroom in there. We will defo return.
The only negative we have is the site is a little to light late at night. We like to stargaze and this was hampered a little and also inside the tent was bright.
