Good cheap basic site, friendly owners and staff. Toilet block with 2 showers and two washing up sinks in, was quite alarmed as taking a shower, heard mans voice in the toilet as he was washing up with his wife. There was no hot water for washing up the entire weekend we were there, also there is no soap in the loos so take some with you. Overall, you get what you pay for. Ideal if you're looking for a cheap short stay, just somewhere to pitch, it's an ideal place.

An amazing campsite, we visited in mid July and although the site was busy, still incredibly quiet and no big queues for showers and the cafe (a cafe which only charges £2.50 for a massive English breakfast). The showers and toilets were clean despite a good deal of use (I even saw them getting cleaned early on a Sunday!) Really relaxing site where the owners will do anything for you, only 3 miles from the busy streets of Worcester, but worlds apart. Absolutely fantastic, will be back in a couple of weeks. P.S.I definitely recommend a trip to the local village of Ombersley.

We have been here many times over the last 6 years and always enjoyed it. The campsite is never crowded and the cafe is good too. This year the price had gone up to £8 (from £6.50 or so previously). The showers and toilets were not clean when we arrived at 12pm and there were lots of dead flies and cobwebs in the windows of the shower cubicles. No hooks for clothes and washbags either. The next morning the shower block and toilets were still dirty so not cleaned in a 24 hours period. Complaints aside, I would still return as the setting is so relaxing.

On arrival the site is clean and organised. No problems finding and pitching the tent, plenty of room for a large tent and two cars. Plenty of room for the kids to play but be aware of the river if you have little ones. The shower / toilet blocks were not up to an acceptable standard. They were dirty, no soap to wash your hands and a long walk from the pitches. The resident campers used bikes for the trip. There were about 60 pitches with electrical hookup and about 30 tents, with two showers in the gents so prepare to queue. We did have an excellent weekend but because of the poor facilities we won't be going back. It's not too much to ask to have clean toilets and showers. I hope the owners take note and correct the problems. It's a shame when a small problems lets everything down.

This was the only site in a 50 mile radius that wasn't fully booked on this sunny weekend in June. We were advised of the incorrect cost of a pitch with electric hook up - the cost for a tent depends on the berth size and then there's a £3.00 charge for electrics. On first appearances the site was nice with a marina and river meandering through the site. It was quite full with lots of children playing. We were very pleased with how quiet it was at night. We didn't make use of the on site shop or cafe. We were very disappointed with the state of the toilet/shower blocks. They were very dirty and the layer of dead insects around indicated they hadn't been cleaned for some time. There is no soap provided for washing hands and there are a lack of hooks which are essential when you daren't put your toiletries and towels on any of the dirty surfaces. Someone was replacing the toilet rolls so they must have noticed how dirty they were. There are opportunities to leave your unit there permanently and we must say that those who did were very friendly indeed.

August 2005 Our first visit here and it wont be our last , very pleasant friendly site and very quiet ! even when there were plenty of kids on site ,there is plenty to do around the area with a great farm shop just on the way to worcester about 2mins away ! ,with worcester being just 10mins away and kiddiminster about 20mins in the other direction its fantastic for shopping! There are also many pubs in the area ,On site the cafe sells cooked breakfasts at very reasonable prices (£2.30) but only open at weekends and also does a sunday lunch be be ware you must book on the sat before 5pm ! we missed out :O(. The on-site shop has everything you need papers must be ordered too. They do charge for visitors on-site but the first hr is free and only cost 50p after that for the whole visit which was great.our pitch cost just £9.50 with electric and £1.50 for an awning ! and that was high season prices fantastic value for money showers very clean and are FREE ! Toilets are very clean and site is kept very clean too ..we WILL be back !

April 2005 I visited this site just at the start of their season, (1st week in April), and found the site quite boggy and difficult to manoeuvre the car and van on the very soggy ground. There were no hard standing pitches. I have to admit, however, that the weather during the previous week had been quite bad ... so much so that there was some concern as to whether the site would be able to open due to the height of the river running through the site. A river circles most of the site and, with a licence, which can be purchased at the site shop, I believe, the keen angler can dip his rod! The swans and ducks are very friendly as long as you feed them .. and they will keep coming back for more!
Access to the site off the M5 and just up the road on the A449 was very easy and, although the main access road, the A449, was quite close, the traffic noise was not a serious problem at all.
Toilet and washing facilities were very good and clean with plenty of hot water but .... the temperature inside the toilet block was cold!! The temperature of the showers was difficult to control and to maintain at a steady temperature. I would not recommend children using them unsupervised.
I have to say that the breakfast served at the site cafe is excellent and such good value, (£2.50). What a pity they only do breakfasts on the weekends! There is also a very good "take away" service offered ... again .. only at weekends. Just a short distance away there is a choice of some really nice pubs offering excellent food ... at a very reasonable prices... and a shop which caters for all needs. (i.e. off licence and food!)
Staff were very helpful. I have to say that, for a short stay, this site is perfectly adequate.

August 2004 We visited this site in August 2004 for our first time.
We have the following to report.
1. The site is family run and owned.
2.The owners are very friendly, helpful and polite, although this was our first visit we were made to feel like they had known us for years.
3. There is a café on site which is open on Saturday’s and Sunday’s, the food provided is of a good quality and cooked to a high standard and the facilities were spotless, BUT the best bit is that it’s very cheap (A full English Breakfast was about £2.25).
4. There is also a small shop on site which sells most essentials.
5. The site offers space for Tents and touring Caravans.
6. The site is easily accessible from the A449.
7. From speaking to others on the site I have found that most of them return time and time again.
8. The only down side we found was that there was a lot of road noise coming from the nearby A449.
We will be returning to this campsite in the first week in September.

August 2004 Easy to find site. Pitches ok and grass not too long. Handy little shop and cafe if needed. Could hear the road but more of a background noise as opposed to an annoying noise. Nice walk along river from site. Downside toilets and showers weren't very clean (2 showers for whole site for ladies and mens the same). Lots of water on toilet cubicle floor and unsure whether it originated from the showers or not as was a bit smelly :-{ Showers weren't great as temperature fluctuated. Also two large dishwashing sinks in toilets too which I wasn't keen on, didn't seem hygienic somehow. I guess this site is ok for a one night stop over and you can just book one night in peak season. We won't bother again though.
