Enjoyed five very hot days here in mid June. The campsite is at the bottom of a very narrow, steeply graded and winding farm track - the good news is the track isn't very long!
The campsite is well set out across several fields. All fields seemed to have a mix of electric hook up pitches and standard pitches. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. There is always plenty of hot water and the showers take a 20p coin.
The facilities (gents) let the site down a bit though - Whilst cleaning is done to a basic standard, and there is plenty of toilet paper and liquid soap, there is also a real need for some ventilation / extraction in the main toilet block. Condensation drips from the roof when the showers are on and the place smells like a very damp cellar - very musty. The floor also needs a very 'deep' clean.
Having said that this is a great place to spend a few days exploring the local area, and the local village pub does great meals.

What a lovely site. Ideal for children who enjoy playing in the stream, on the beach or in the woods! Our 9yr old met lots of like minded friends and spent three days wading, climbing and paddling! Our 3yr old was delighted by the little park and the older girls that seemed to queue up to entertain and push her on the swings!(Obviously supervised by us!) Leaving me to spend some time with our 10mth old!
We had the nearest pitch by the park by default to due the site being almost fully booked, (Although you would have never guessed!) Yes, it was a little noisy up to about 9.30pm but as our children were there too it didn't bother us.
Our pitch was sheltered yet commanded views of the sea and the mountains. We had a small, modern and clean toilet block with in our field that we never waited to use along with a pot wash sink and a water tap. The refurbished shower block was a pleasant walk away and very clean.
There are different areas for people with different needs, You can camp by the shore, or the stream, or in a dell. Then there is the higher field with cliff views or the spacious middle field for those who like ball games in the middle!
The couple who ran the farm were very friendly and helpful.
All in all, our best site yet!

This site is truly beautiful.
Entrance road is indeed rather steep and narrow, the field is indeed open to the elements but are minor inconveniences for the location.
There are basics in the shop/reception. Laundry facilities are available at a reasonable price. Ice blocks can be borrowed if needed. The owners are very pleasant.
The ladies shower and toilet facilities are kept pretty clean and are quite smart. The mens I believe aren't quite up to the same standard though. Men's and women's though do both have a terrible problem with steam and condensation. Extractor fans or something would really be useful as busy times.
There was a bit of noise quite late in the evening due to people wandering around but nothing too disturbing. Otherwise although the site was fully booked, we didn't feel at all crowded.
We will go back

Stayed here for 4 nights over Easter weekend. The site is accessed via a narrow roadway, but not too challenging to navigate. You need to watch for the entrance as this is difficult to spot. On arrival the reception was friendly and helpful in locating my pitch. The site was very muddy in places due to traffic and Welsh weather.
The amenities are fairly basic, with the main toilet and shower block being quite a distance from the majority of the camping area.
This site is located right on the coast and over looks Anglesey, with mountains directly inland. The beach is stoney and difficult to walk on for any distance. I managed to walk up to the next village and back, but any further would have been difficult on the ankles!
Would definitely stay again due to location and opportunities for scenic walking (inland).

Family of 2 adults 2 kids 2 teenagers 1 dog
Just returned from a fab weekend at this site. As many reviews said previously the road leading to site is a little hairy but manageable, we were towing a small trailer and were fine.
The site is perfectly situated close to the beach, this did leave us very open to the elements, but only what you'd expect with the location.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The new ladies toilets / showers were lovely and clean, with hot water all the time.
The site has a small shop which has most things you would need. The nearest supermarket was about 10 mins drive. There is nothing nearby, which we thought was prefect as we wanted somewhere quiet to relax for the weekend.
We spent most of the weekend at the beach or playing ball games with other campers, which was lovely.
Overall a fab site with beautiful views and sunset amazing, we will return next year.

I am 23 years old & me and my family have been going to this campsite for about 25 years, camping in either a tent or trailer tent I learnt to walk there! I feel like it is my second home. Both sets of owner that I have known are lovely and the other campers are all very friendly. Back in 1988 they all used to get together on the beach around a campfire, eating and singing cam songs!
I took my one year old son there last year and he loved having the freedom to just run.
The only thing that has changed in the years is that they have acquired a few goats and chickens - but it all adds to the fun of camping there!
The facilities are great. The shops are an equal distance apart - halfway between Caernarfon and Pwllheli. The petrol station and small convenience shop is just up the road!
I will continue to camp there as no other campsite can compare, and hopefully my grandchildren will also camp there one day!

A gem of a site.
Yes the road is a bit tight in places, we were ok as camping, but if towing, get help for £2.
The views are amazing, mountains and sea, what a way to wake up and what the sun setting.Beach pebbly, but great rock pools and good to light a fire at night.
Small basic shop, if you can't see what you need just ask.
Proper chest freezer for ice packs.
Toilets, showers, pot wash all good.
Barn with pool table and tv ok for wet weather.
Just beware that you are very close to the sea and it can get windy, we had strong winds one night, but we had been told in the morning which was really good.
Very helpful place.
Good base to explore the area.

Just returned from this campsite as 4 adults and 2 kids. Yep the track into the site is pretty hairy. We checked in and we were greeted by Clare who was very cheerful and helpful. We were put on 76 and 77 first thought brill beautiful views and very big so you not right on top of each other but you are so exposed to the elements.
The showers are right at the entrance so it's a fair walk from the top field they are not the cleanest and something as simple as a bench to put your stuff on when you in the shower. Very hot and I don't mind paying for showers but this is quite expensive site. There are toilets dotted about but no mirrors. But always had toilet roll and soap in the dispensers.
We walked around the area and went along the beach up to the pub nice walk and beautiful scenery. Day 2 of our holiday the winds decided to pick up and it was awful then it began to rain we found out that we weren't in position to last, our gazebo was nearly blown away so a decision was made to leave.
All in all it's a lovely site but more showers and maybe re planning in the sense tents should be kept to the lower fields and the back fields and more sturdier caravans kept to exposed areas. If the British summers were summers and I knew it's was going to be nice I would possibly return.

The views from this site are lovely, but getting onto the site is a different matter, the access road to it is not for the faint hearted, they do offer a towing service down it if you can find them. The facilities are basic for what the charge per night is. There is nothing in the area within easy reach, you have to use the car. Just a word of warning it is very exposed to the elements we lost an awning.

Just got back from this great little site. We stayed 2 nights but had planned to stay 3, only leaving due to the poor weather. It is a fantastic spot, right above a rocky but gently shelving beach. A stream runs right through the site into the sea and it had been dammed up on the beach and was a great paddling spot.
The pitches are generous and the prices are really very reasonable. Beware though, the winds, when they are blowing, are ferocious! Several people were up in the night to rehammer pegs in. We had pitch 79 and loved it, until the tent was smashed to smithereens by the rolling storms.
We did manage to have a campfire on the beach which was great fun and we were obviously not the first to do it as there are improvised firepits all over.
The loos are good, especially in the field we were in, but the showers are a long way from that field and the drains struggle a little at peak times, creating a rather nasty smell. But such is life and the owners seem to clean the showers regularly so they aren't bad at all. A fresh water shower near the beach would be a good addition, we used the boat flushing hose to rinse off the salt (which the kids loved!).
All in all a cracking spot with the most amazing vista, mountains on one side and Irish sea on the other, wildlife is all around (we saw a falcon and swallows) and it is a site I would gladly visit again, if only the weather could be guaranteed!
