May 2005 This site is set in a beautiful location, in between the mountains and the sea - great! The pitches were large and level and the site is split into several fields. We were on the Scout field (complete with scouts who were quite entertaining with their bugle playing, flag raising and sing-a-longs.)
Our children, 2 and 4, loved the goats, ducks and play area (although this did have a couple of broken wooden slats.) The toilets seemed to get dirty quickly but maybe that was due to the amount of children about.
Overall a lovely site with lots of fresh air and places to go nearby.

May 2005 Arrived for the whit weekend, entrance to site is a bit concealed but because I had already read other reviews we were prepared for this, single track going down to campsite is a bit nervey especially having something on tow, however this was soon forgot about when you see the fabulous scenery. We were pitched up on the lower field and as there had been terrible winds the night before, Clare the owner said we'd be fine and sheltered there. By mid afternoon the sun was blazing - wind had gone, rest of weekend was lovely - kids played for hours in the stream, and you felt they could wander up the camp shop on there own - it was a very friendly and safe site.
Apologies to anyone on the same field as us with regards to our dog 'Sponge' a 6 month old Sprocker Spaniels (Springer/Cocker cross) he can be quite a handful and have fits of barking now and again and thats if he's not running around the field like a made dog cause he has got off his lead. We are hoping this stage will pass in time!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shower/toilets clean, however because the 3 showers are constantly being used the floor does tend to get slippy.
We will definetly be returning, but a quick note to everyone it can be moggietastic at night especially if the suns been blazing all day.

August 2004 We find this a lovely site, nice views of the coast and the hills. Ideal as we have a boat as this site has own slipway, but a 4x4 vehicle is a must for lauching, owners and the people on site are very friendly. The site can get very windy in the exposed fields. The toilets are cleaned daily during the busy times. The shop supplies Gas refills and basic food items. This is our first year with a caravan and we are now on a rolling pitch, as we enjoy this site we won't be moving.

August 2004 Very Friendly owners who are excellent with children. Lower field got a bit boggy but this was after a couple of weeks worth of rain. Pitches up by the shower block are nice and sheltered. Drive slowly when attempting to find the site for the first time as the entrance is concealed if you are not expecting it. Clean and tidy site. Picturesque site , well worth a visit.

July 2004 We had 2 weeks here at the begining of the school holidays, great as usual. Friendly owners, couldn't do enough for us. Lovely new toilets on the scout field. Wonderful for the children, freedom, safety and good old fashioned outdoor fun. Next year could we order better weather please!

August 2004 What can I say... it just gets better ! Last year we visited this site over 4 times n we have just spent another fab 10 days there, returning in Sept & Oct too. Marked improvement on the top field toilets from last year keep up the great improvements Hugh n Claire. The site is in the middle of nowhere but in the center for everything. There is so much within only a few miles of the site if you want to go out n about or you can just laze the day away with the beautiful views. Perfect site if you are into boating, skiing n fishing... very child friendly. This is are 2nd year of visting this site & we look forward to many more to come. We have met soooo many great friends in Aberafon I wouldn't look at going anywhere else. The site owners have always been very friendly & helpful to us.. we couldn't ask for more

August 2004 This was the third visit this year. First found the site whilst looking for a weekend getaway to try new tent in May. Site is in an Idyllic setting, with beatiful views of the Welsh mountains and over the Irish sea, fantastic sunsets. Pitches are level and large, which is unusual on such a well priced site. Site owners are extremely pleasant and helpful, as are most of the frequent campers on site. Excellent site for my 4 children, very safe despite being so close to the sea, beach and sea access is very easy. This is a site well worth visiting, it's not five star, but it works! We will be returning a good many times in the future. Thanks again Claire and Hugh!

August 2004 We've just returned home from a magical holiday at this lovely site. The weather was kind to us and the sun shone all week, there seems to be some sort of microclimate - perhaps it's sheltered by the mountains. We had never been camping before and after the first night I was wishing I'd done it years ago. For the fainthearted, I'd say try five days! We were completely amazed by the setting, the best thing was the sunsets and the shooting stars! I would agree with much of the above - our 8 year old loved the play area, the ducks, the beach, the goats. We found everything to be adequate for the price charged. Now planning a return as soon as possible. Thanks Hugh and Clare!

July 2004 Just one word absolutely fantastic, we where situated on the cliff edge near the slip way 18 of us went all with children ranging from 6-12, a little bit windy on the friday night but we coped it rained all night and into saturday morning, but then the sun shon and it was great with the speed boat anyone who is into this would love it great location, the only downside is that the toilets on the lower field by the slip way could do with some updating and possibly do with putting a hand basin to wash hands after being the toilet, also with paying £10 per night and having to pay 30p for a five min shower is a bit unacceptable, however we are planning on going back possibly in august so it can't be that bad can it.

June 2004 We have just returned from a weekend in our trailer tent here.
We had a fabulous pitch - on a little field on our own - fabulous.
Toilets and showers very clean and smelled good, nice little playground for the kids, and very friendly owners.
We are definately going back to this site!
