Just returned from a week at this lovely site. It is a very well kept site and although it was full to capacity most of the time we were there the toilet blocks were always spotlessly clean.
The play area was quite close to our superpitch and could be quite noisy at times so if you want peace and quiet ask for a site away from the play area.
Grantown is a lovely little town with a variety of small shops and hotels/restaurants within walking distance of the site.
I must recommend the Bistro 55 restaurant at the Ben Mhor hotel and also the Indian restaurant.
Great site for touring the Scottish Highlands.

Have just returned from a 5 night stay and could not fault this site at all. We were escorted to our pitch which was immaculate and had the most stunning view as we were at the highest point of the site. Site very tidy and what I could see very child friendly with their large tidy play park. Wardens very friendly and helpful, showers/toilets etc kept very clean and tidy and even though site very busy never had to wait. Could do with having a restaurant/bar/cafe on site so easier to mix with other guests???? We dined at 2 of the few pubs in town and found the Garth Hotel the better, nice staff and a lovely meal was had. We will most certainly visit this site again.

This is a well laid out and well equipped site. Probably very suitable for older couples since they charge extra per person including per kid. Even though it has a decent looking play park, people drive a little too fast around it for my liking making it not so suitable for smaller children. The toilets are clean, there's great showers and the everything seems to work. Also Granton on Spey is a lovely town with lots of shops and a great bookshop.
However, the campsite is expensive and in my opinion very sterile. Its kind of a like a big car park with perfectly lined up caravans, neat hedging and manicured grass. Better to go to Dalraddy or Rothiemurchus near Aviemore and camp/caravan in a more natural environment. Those two are also much cheaper.
I didn't get the super pitch thing. We stayed on a normal pitch - seemed big enough to me. The wifi is expensive and its beyond me why anyone wants to come to one of the most beautiful areas of the UK to watch Sky.
Another thing to note is having to pay up front for your whole stay. When we asked about this we found the staff very inflexible - basically you can lose your site if you don't book and pay and you lose your money if you leave early since there are no refunds.

An extremely well run site, beautifully maintained. We found the wardens to be very helpful and for the first time we used a Super Pitch - very generous in size, we felt it was worth the extra money for the convenience it offered. Toilets and showers were spotless, plenty hot water, separate cubicles for washing in private and for drying hair. Good facilities for washing up etc. Good play area for children. The site is a good 10/15 min walk from the centre of Grantown which has a number of shops. For eating out I can recommend the Garth Hotel, who are very accommodating for doggy owners and the food is excellent. The Indian restaurant in the Square is also well worth a visit. Two negatives - reception for Vodafone is very very poor and you are not permitted to leave your dog in the caravan if you want to go out for a while. I think this is fine if you have a dog who barks but for those of us who have a quiet, well behaved dog who is happy in the caravan, I feel it is unfair, especially as you do not know about this rule until you arrive. Apart from that it was an excellent site. Good dog walks just off site.

This was my second (and last) visit to this site.
We arrived mid afternoon without a previous booking and were told the site was full, except for 4 pitches in the 'late arrivals' area. We accepted one, but it was a bit like camping in a car park.
The central facilities were excellent and never too busy, despite the site being full.
By early evening, new arrivals were piled in beside us with barely 3 or 4 meters between stands, then, after midnight another fisherman's vehicle arrived and parked between us and our neighbours within touching distance of our window.
This was made even more annoying by the fact that at least 12 stands in the main area were completely empty because they were 'Super Pitches' which no-one wanted. These pitches gave the advantage of WiFi internet access at an additional cost of £4 per night. No wonder nobody wanted them! Just such a shameful waste of space and an obvious greedy rip-off by the site owners which had backfired. Let's face it, nowadays you get free WiFi access just about anywhere you stop to buy a coffee!
I will not be returning to Grantown on Spey.

1st visit to this site, 2 adults for 4 nights & we were not disappointed,
we had booked a super pitch over the holiday weekend & site was full, never had to wait for showers, wash rooms & toilets immaculate.
Wardens very helpful, good play facilities for kids that I could see, yet never a lot of noise.
Very quite at night. This site is right on the edge of town, 5 min. Walk.
Grantown is a small town, a few pubs & small shops, though a great base for touring the area which we done.
Inverness, Nairn, Aviemore the Cairngorms are all easy drives.
Garth hotel, top of the road, turn left, great food.
I could not fault this site. We will be back to this site.

Excellent site. Will I return? At £57 for 3 nights (one man in Icarus 300,no electrics) NO. Toilet block could not be better, hard standings raked and cleaned when vacant, etc, etc, its all been said by other reviewers. As the lower camping area was flooded I was on the small upper area amongst the caravans. I would suggest this is better for smaller tents. No matter how good the facilities, £266 for 2 weeks in a small tent cannot be justified

A warm welcome when we arrived and quickly shown to our pitch. The toilet block was very clean and warm, plenty of hot water too. The walks at the rear of the site are excellent and a great place to excise your dogs. While the wardens were always about they left me alone. The village is a short walk down the road but not a great deal there so we drove into Inverness about thirty miles away to do a shop at Morrisons. Dog owners should note that if you leave the site then your dogs must go too, even if you are only nipping into town for a paper. I would recommend this site.

We were in Grantown-on-Spey this past week and visited this lovely site, (we were booked into the site but after damage received from high winds at Selsey the previous week, decided to go B&B instead)
We had a good look round and have to say this is a beautiful site, well laid out with good sized pitches.
The wash rooms were lovely and plentiful.
Must just mention a bit about Grantown itself, a lovely welcoming town with some characters to be found if you know where to look. Craigs Bar in Woodside Ave, serves lovely Pie and Chips, (only pies on the menu). However Robbie, the owner will let you bring in a chinese take-away and give you plates, knives and forks to eat it with. The Royal British Legion is closer by, with Bingo for the ladies (or gents) on a Monday and Friday night.
We only wish our tent hadn't been damaged during the storms at Selsey the previous week!

Stayed here for 8 nights but the weather was really wet. Pitch had very good drainage but was a little tricky when putting in your pegs, as very stony.
The toilet/shower facilities are excellent.
Very friendly and helpful wardens.
Very good Chinese take away in the town also good fish and chips.
Nice dog walk along old railway line above campsite.
Stayed on tent field but next time we will go for electric hook up.
Would highly recommend this site and will be returning at some point.
