My husband, two young children and I stayed here for one night in early November. I found the staff to be professional on arrival (not especially friendly, but professional, which in The Highlands is unusual). We were shown to our super pitch by the warden. We got set up quickly because the kids were eager to get to the lovely park the site has. Unfortunately once we were all showered and ready for bed we realised that the electric hook up wasn't working, so we didn't have electric. Therefore we couldn't use the sky facility that comes with a super pitch. Since we had lighting on our 12v system neither of us could be bothered reporting to the warden on a wet, dark night! The next morning I reported the fault to the warden, who checked it out quickly. There was no apology or offer of compensation, which I found disappointing. Nevertheless, it is a well presented site, the shower block seemed clean and it was lovely and warm with good showers. There is an excellent walk along the old railway line just behind the site. The Thai takeaway restaurant in grantown was very good.

We stayed for just one night and could not fault the site. We were in the Blue pitches which were nice and close to the toilet block. All of the pitches around us were very level and well serviced.
The site is kept very clean and is nicely landscaped.
The staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome.
The toilet block was clean with plenty of showers and toilets.
There are plenty of walks that can be made directly from the site which is ideal if you have dogs.
We would like to visit again in the future and have more time to explore the town and surrounding area.

We Stayed here for a week and it was amazing.
Beautiful caravan park with top of the range facilities.
The pitches have plenty of room for a large caravan, awning and at least two cars.
My children loved the play area, it has something for every age group.
We had something to do every day as there are so many lovely places near by to visit.
Canoeing on Loch Morlich is a must if the weather is fine.
We also visited Landmark Adventure Theme Park that was also amazing.
We will be back to this caravan site very soon.

On arrival at the site it looked perfect we were shown to our supposed super pitch which you could not park your car in when you had an awning erected we could just fit in our porch awning and caravan between the small brick walls dividing the pitches.
The toilet blocks could be doing with a face lift.
It seems as if the site is divided up into a section for members of the caravan club and another for non members
The staff were not the most pleasant

On paper this site appears to have it all, and technically it does.
But we found it completely soulless.
Facilities are plentiful and generally clean, the location is pretty good and as a base we managed to see and do an awful lot in 9 days!
But, our welcome was to queue for ages, then to be handed a voting form for best site, and aside from an emailed newsletter which contained information on events the following month and not during our stay, we had zero contact with the site staff.
Add to that screaming children (and I do mean screaming) every night til around 11pm, and it didn't make for a particularly pleasant stay - we have 5 kids ourselves, so its not that we are intolerant!
There was just a general 'churn 'em in, churn 'em out' feel to the place.
Overall not somewhere we'd return to, sorry to say.

Just returned from this site and felt compelled to write a review about our experience. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. The young wardens couldn't have been more friendly and we were escorted to our pitch. The pitch was spotless and spacious. Lovely clean facilities. It was clearly a well managed site and close to the town. Our cocker spaniel was in seventh heaven! We don't normally write reviews but we felt this site definitely deserved a mention.

We had heard so many good reports about this site but were a little disappointed, The first day whilst trying to use the Laundry I nearly got knocked down by a gang of children riding bikes round and round the toilet block, the screaming children and barking dogs were a real turn off, whilst I realise this is not the sites fault a few rules about both dog and child owners to be responsible for their companions would help.
The use of old fashioned string mops were next to useless in the showers, they left more water and other peoples hair on the floor than they removed and the cleanliness of the showers left a lot to be desired as obviously no one ever cleaned properly behind the doors, there were several months of muck in the corners.
This could be a really nice site and if they want to stay affiliated with the Caravan Club then they should adopt a few of their rules to make things pleasant for everyone.

Superb site, one of the most spacious and well laid out we have visited. Pitches are nearly all gravel and very generous. We started off on a super pitch which included a sky box (a novelty for us). This worked well, but as we are a bit limited for space it was not that convenient. We moved to a regular pitch which had access to an on site tv aerial that suited us better. The heated shower blocks are excellent and there are separate cubicles for washing which include a shaver point and a hair dryer. There are lots of places to walk and exercise the dog and the site is adjacent to a long distance footpath. Grantown is 10 mins walk. There is a good supermarket. We enjoyed Sunday lunch at The Garth which was quite reasonably priced. There are not many bars and restaurants, but the Craig Bar can be quite lively and they do a nice choice of pies. We will definitely. Stay here again

Excellent all round! A great welcome from the South African wardens and an escorted trip to the pitch which was spacious, level and had views of the distant mountains. The site and the toilet block were impeccable. The dog was happy too, having a nice former railway line to walk on just a few hundred yards from the site entrance. Strongly recommended.

Stayed on this site for 3 nights. We booked on a super pitch. £25 night which includes free sky box and free wi-fi. The toilet block is outstanding. Massive pitch. Loads of walks just off site. Wardens are very friendly. Granton on Spey is a nice village. 500yds from site. So many things to do and places to see. Well worth a holiday site on its own. The Osprey centre (8miles away) is well worth a visit. Osprey's nesting. The Caingorms mountains close by. I will definitely return again
