I think I've just found my favourite Cornish campsite! Lovely peaceful location right on the coast path.
Plenty of space for our campervan and awning. Location is a bit windy so be warned if you don't have decent guy ropes & pegs.
Only a handful of showers but as site is mainly statics I never had a problem (in fact was usually only person in the showerblock, toilets or washing up rooms). Hot water plentiful and free washing machine.
Easy walk (and very pretty) to nearby beach which has a little shop, cafe and lifeguards. Pub also within walking distance either via lanes or a shortcut over a footpath.
We did go before most schools broke up but even in school holidays there would be plenty of room for kids for play in the grassy central area.
Really lovely spot.

Traditional family run camp site, beautiful location and views. Short walk to popular family friendly beach and direct access to coastal foot path. Toilet and shower blocks and dishwashing basic but very clean. Laundrette, payphone and wetsuit shower also on site. Basics sold at reception, open morning and late afternoon.
Good size pitches around edge of fields with centres kept clear for children to run and play.
Price slightly on the high side, but this reflects the sites location and feeling of open space.
Only down side is maximum occupancy of 5 people per pitch, which meant for our family of six we had to pay for 2 pitches.

The location of this site is amazing - right on the Cornish Coastal Path with spectacular views yards away, unspoiled and quiet. It has won a David Bellamy Gold Award several years running and is a lovely place to stay, though you need to take account of its position and reckon for high winds at times.
A main attraction for us is that caravans and tents are only sited around the perimeter of three very large fields, so one never feels crowded in.
The sandy beach is a short walk away down a small private road so good for children, though they need strict supervision when in the water as this is the North Cornwall coast. Loads of rock pools at low tide though for little ones to play in.
Site facilities such as washing up, showers and toilets are kept spotlessly clean and the site owners are around frequently, so one feels secure.

Just had the one night here whilst touring Devon and Cornwall. Pretty quiet in September, and the touring fields had plenty of vans/tents in them but they were spaced out with roughly one empty pitch between each unit.
Behind the campsite you're straight on to a coastal path with some sheer drops on to the rocks below. All quite dramatic, but hold on to your dogs! The sea was a bit choppy while we were there so it looked even more impressive with the waves crashing on the rocks.
A very quiet site this time of year. Staff at the farm were friendly, showers were free (the push button type) and there's a toilet block in the camping field with the showers in the field with all the static caravans.
Would definitely return another year. Padstow is only 5 or so miles away if you need the facilities of a town.

Pleased with this site, and the reviews were very accurate, toilets / showers clean and warm but it didn't seem that there were many showers for the whole site, however had to walk a long way for the showers but never had to wait, so this was satisfactory. Nearby beach excellent for everyone, adults who want to body board and kids who want to play in the rock pools, don't forget your wet suits, however you can hire them in St Merryn. Would agree with the fact that the roads to this site are very narrow and if towing a caravan or trailer it could be stressfull to meet the same on such narrow roads. Tesco at Padstow very useful and amenities / shops at St Merryn very handy for the odd item. The big downside is that you are on the side of a cliff and although the views maybe great you need a very substantial sturdy tent to withstand the wind. Unfortunately ours didn't, along with others and we ended our holiday early, approx 2am trying to stop our tent blowing away!

A lovely site with great well maintained facilities. A short walk to the stunning beach which is great for surfing. Outdoor shower for rinsing off your wetsuit was very useful. Close to all the attractions and still nicely tucked away from the masses. A super site, highly recommended.

Can not sing the praises of this caravan site highly enough. All the positives as mentioned in the last review.
Clean FREE shower block. Relatively cheap compared to other nearby sites. Lots of space in the centre of the field. Friendly staff. Stunning coastal views. Only a 5 minute stroll from the beach.
The only negative I could give would be the extremely narrow road up to the site, which would have been nigh on impossible to negotiate if we had met a car/caravan coming the other way. But that is indicative of the 'B' roads in Cornwall itself and part of the charm. If a little stressful for the main 'driver'.
Also, on the very back field, there is a tendency for the wind to whip up and a couple of tents close by were damaged during our stay.
However, just like the narrow roads. This is indicative of staying at any coastal camp site.
All in all, Trethias Farm = thoroughly recommended. And a big thanks to David and his team for keeping the site well maintained.

Trethias Farm Caravan Park is an excellent site just like the review given by Laurasc_85. The site is also well set out with caravans, tents and motor homes around the perimeter of each field leaving the centre clear and open. The review given by Neen is not for Trethias Farm Caravan Park but for Treyarnon Bay Camping and Caravan Site which is near by. We have stayed at this site and I would agree with the review.

We've been staying at Trethias (camping) for 5 years. Cheapest and best holiday of the year - better than Florida. A rare gem in an ever commercialised Cornish County. Environmentally friendly, quiet in the evenings, safe for children and wonderful staff.
FREE Showers, FREE hairdryer, clean loos, outdoor shower if u want to wash ur wetsuit after a surf. Beach is 2 minute walks. The most stunning sea views across the cornish coast from the campsite. Sunsets come highly recommended. For people who love real camping without the commercial rubbish then book here. One piece of advice, book early (January if poss) to avoid dissapointment.

I think this site is the one we stayed at but as there are no details Im not totaly sure! Stayed for one night. Had trouble finding the entrance as we pased the camping field on the main road but the actual entrance is at the other end of the site, follow signs forthe youth hostle and beach.
Large site, mainly statics with a field at the back for tourers and tents. Most of the site has a sea view, and the beach is very near. Very popular with surfers. There are two shops, one by the beach and one in the village. There is a pub which does nice food and has a nice sea view.
The main toilet block is far away from the camping field but there is a tempory/porter loo block in the camping field which is handy. The showers are a rip off at £1 for 10 minutes! They are also dated. Dont think I would stay here again even though it is quite cheap, but it must be great if your a surfer.
