What a lovely campsite! There are great sea views and access to the Coastal Path is right on the doorstep. The beach is very near - the fact that it is quite a steep path can't be held against them!
The pitches are a generous size and, given the size of the fields, even when it is full, I imagine it still feels pretty spacious.
The staff were helpful, friendly and solicitous. We had to call an ambulance to the field when my daughter had croup and they came down especially to check we were ok and ask if there was anything they could do.
The facilities are good - clean and well maintained. The showers were hot (not always the case in my experience!) which is always a good thing. We didn't really need to use the site shop so can't really comment but there are plenty of shops within easy driving distance.
We'll definitely return for a longer stay

This amazing campsite sits on top of the hills with a short walk to see the sea views.
The campsite was beautifully kept, showers clean.
It is not a large site and doesn't have loads of facilities but that's its appeal.
We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back.

Excellent site, . Location is superb, right next to the Cliff tops and a stone throw from beach. We arrived with friends who have never been before (my husband and I have been serval times). They were amazed and said we hadn’t sold it enough to them, they also thought it was an amazing site.
Quiet and never packed, they keep everyone round the edges of the field, no one fills the middle, so this makes it seem spacious andi it allows you to have space to feel private.
The site looks out for the environment and there is recycling on site.
Tollets are also clean and tidy.
Wash area for pots and pans are inside so no washing up in rain or cold it you pick a bad time weather wise.
Showers again clean and tidy and always hot water.
Cannot fault it and wish we could go more often but we live in West Yorkshire and it’s quiet a drive.
Don’t hesitate to book, you won’t be disappointed.

Anyone that wants a back-to-what-camping-should-be, this is the one for you. As in other reviews, clean, friendly, no noisy night life, no light pollution so star photography is pretty good. Plenty of space and OH MY, spectacular views. Sunsets to inspire. Walks on the coastal path straight from the campsite and down to Treyarnon Bay and Constantine. A large dog walking area set aside as well.
Because of it's superb sea view location it can get windy - we lost a tent five years ago in a pretty awesome storm, but if you have a cheapish 'armadillo 'type tent, it will flap around even in the lightest of breezes, whilst there this year we noted one of these not doing very well and it was only a 12 mph wind. Would recommend rock pegs. A smaller tent would be protected by a stone wall on the field nearest the coastal path.
We come back time and time again as it's pure joy.
Didn't comment on child friendliness as we always go outside of school holidays but there is no play park.
If you're a caravanner then there is little problem except narrow lanes.
You won't find a better genuine campsite.

We have made this site our holiday location for several years. It has fantastic views over the North Cornwall Coastline and a great location for a visit to the Royal Cornwall Show. The Park is elevated and can be a little windy at times. The toilets and shower blocks are kept in good order as with the grounds within the site. The roads leading to the Park are narrow so just take care. In all a very nice location for a relaxing holiday.

Great location near beach and coastal path. Beatiful views across the sea from the touring pitch field, which is next to the static caravan field. Pitches are good as they are around the sides of a large field with no central pitches. This gives a great feeling of space unlike most other sites. Family run site, so incredibly hospitable and helpful. David and his son Leroy, keep the site in very good order and are always very helpful when assistance or information is needed. The facilities are very clean and simple but all that is required. We love visiting out of the main holiday season in May and Sept when it is quiet. Will continue to visit each year as we love it so much. It would be hard to find a better spot in the UK. However, please note that the approach roads for a couple of miles is quiet narrow near Porthcothan, so perhaps not recommended for nervous drivers with large outfits at busy times of the year. Do not take the route towards or via Treyathas beach as this is a narrow single lane road.

We have just returned from a 2nd fantastic holiday at Trethias Farm. This is a dog-friendly, family-run site and both David and Leroy are around regularly and very helpful. There is a small shop with card payments accepted.
The site is spacious with amazing views over the sea. The toilets and showers are very clean and well maintained. Very handy to have an outside shower and tub in which to rinse the wetsuits. My children made friends with some of the other visitors and there's lots of space for them to run around and play games.
The beach is a 5 minute walk which is also dog friendly and there are lifeguards on duty. Padstow is a 15 minute drive and there are many other beautiful beaches close by with great surf.
Looking forward to booking up again next year.

Large, spacious site, which was quiet when we were there. Lots of people anxious to tell me how many years/decades they had been visiting. Great access to coastal path, beaches etc. Great recycling facilities. We didn't see children there, but we're told that the central areas were for children of all ages to play!

We have just arrived back from Trethias, 24 years of visits, and it's better than ever. The Chandler Family keep the site clean and beautiful, it feels very secure with David Chandler around and about on his tractor, usually to greet you soon after your arrival, and the general atmosphere is always friendly because the same people keep coming back.
Facilities good and kept very clean, with extractor fans added to the showers this season. Pitches pretty flat and well-mown, many with hookup. Biggest bonus is no-one in front or behind you - only neighbours to your side, so a huge clear centre to each field for kids to play, people to have a game of boules, or just to sit in the sun and enjoy the views. Trethias even has a special environmentally friendly dog walking field where the corn buntings thrive. With the beach only about 10-15 mins off-road walk away who needs a playground?
Position amazing, on the North Cornwall Coastal Path with views in several directions over the bays. Lots of wild flowers, butterflies, birds and this year we enjoyed good weather most of the time. Coast has changed a bit with the winter storms, but that's the nature of North Cornwall. We will keep coming as long as we can cope with the journey from Kent.

We have just returned from one week at this lovely site. The site is family run and they are all friendly and helpful, and are always on hand checking the site. Both the site and facilities are well kept, tidy and clean. The fields are big with pitches around the outside and the middle left clear. Free hot showers with very hot water. Small but well stocked shop, with facility for freezing ice blocks at 20p each. WIFI can be purchased but the mobile coverage isn't great.
The site was quiet when we stayed even though it was the first week of the school holidays and there was never a problem with waiting for showers. However, we only found three Ladies showers so this could be a problem when the site is busy. There are plenty of toilets and wash basins. Good washing up facilities with hot water. There is a place for washing wetsuits.
The site is on the coast and quite exposed so it can be windy.
The site and local beach are both dog friendly. There is a field for walking dogs.
The site is right on the coastal path. It was so nice to be able to walk to the lovely sandy beach with rock pools (about 5/10 minutes) either along a quiet lane or via the coastal path. The beach has Lifeguards, toilets and an ice cream van, but we chose to buy our ice creams, sorbets and coffees from 'Rose's'; a retro pink painted caravan run by a group of young people and parked just above the beach. They do dairy free options too!
We would go back to this site for it's position, good clean facilities, large open space, and nice owners.
