Really lovely little site, if you want some peace and quiet with views across to Pendle Hill. Beautiful area, easy to get to from Manchester, good walking country. We had a lovely walk along the Pennine Way from East Marton (10 mile drive from the site) and back along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. Owners very friendly, called us back to confirm arrangements although we only called at short notice. Site well organised, has all we needed although only has a single toilet, plus a simple single-sink washing up area (with cold water only) so could be some waiting around if there were a few tents in; when we stayed there were only two caravans and a camper so no probs. Everything clean and functioning. Easy and pleasant walk across fields to village of Bolton by Bowland, although if you are thinking of walking back from the pub after dark may not be so great. Would definitely stay again.
