Calder Farm was our first ever campsite with a motorhome about 5 years ago, it was very basic but very clean and very friendly owners
Now, same lovely owners, a much improved site with more hard standings and a pretty much brand new toilet/shower block.
It also has a new POD which is fully self-contained and looks excellent.
Well located with a decent pub serving its own beer, which is very good.
A couple of good walks makes this a lovely stop.
A minor gripe for motorhome owners, there is no easy way to empty your grey waste.

Stayed in the luxury pod.
Modern, peaceful, cosy, practical, well equipped, clean, fresh, private and superb location.
Owners were most helpful and keen to please.
Highly recommended, all weather, all year round accommodation.

Great site. The owners could not have been more helpful. We stayed 3 days going to a wedding and said if we required a lift there and back he would have done the driving.
We will be back.
The new shower block is almost finished. Large hardstanding and plenty of room.

I had a nice stay here with friends,
There was only limited Internet access in the area at that time, but it was wonderfully peaceful and the people there were warm and welcoming and so you soon didn't care so much. I should have taken some books!
Nice walks in the area and pubs (which have hopefully survived since my visit)

This is a relaxed, small family run site run by very friendly owners. It's in a great location for exploring the local area.
The facilities are a little basic but they are building a new toilet block to improve them. It's really good value for money too.
Overall, a lovely place to spend some time.

Stayed just one night as we were trying out our new motorhome for the first time. What a lovely little site this is! So incredibly quiet and peaceful.
Good sized hard standing pitches, beautiful countryside and, despite being a working farm, our two dogs were welcome.
And we were shown a great enclosed field on site where we could exercise them safely off lead. As we didn’t have a cable for our hook up, the owner kindly deducted money off the already very reasonable price of £15 per night.
Showers and toilets were clean though probably not enough of them if the site was busy, however there was evidence of a new block being built which would be helpful. There’s also a brand new glamping pod which will probably be available soon and looked super nice!
Easy reach of Settle and Skipton, both of which we visited on our way home.
We will definitely be back when we have more time.

We picked this site, as it's fairly local to us.
It's a working farm in an idyllic location
Fantastic views of the local area, off the beaten track, but 10 mins walk from Bolton by Bowland
Nice spacious hard standings
Nice owners, not intrusive at all
If I have to be negative? Then I could say the toilet facilities could do with an update. However, they were always clean and stocked with the necessaries.
It's ideally positioned to explore the area:
I would recommend Stocks reservoir for walking, about 15 mins drive away
It's also great value for money at £15 per night for a tourer with ehu

We stayed here over the weekend 2 nights, in a caravan with 2 other families, 1 in a tent and 1 in a caravan all with hook up for £14 a night. The location of this site is gorgeous, with views of the hills and countryside.
There is a lovely pub called the Coach & Horses which was outstandingly lovely, but a little pricey for food. Worth a walk in the sun, down the road in the village of Bolton by Bowland (15 mins walk) for a glass of wine or beer.
Easy reach of Clitheroe (we went for the food festival) which was accessed by car about 10 mins drive away.
There are no facilities on this site, and it is owned by lovely people who were teaching children to ride horses on Saturday morning.
My only fault with this site was the toilets and showers. A portaloo for a toilet with 2 cubicles (one with a toilet also) They were very poor. I don't expect fantastic mega facilities on certified sites but they were not clean and in need of modernisation. Dead spiders, cobwebs and just generally unacceptable for me. A good scrub is what was needed. I felt this really let it down, and I know that it was only £14 a night, but it could be so much cleaner. I would go back, but would pay the extra at another site for a better cleaner shower/toilet block.

This is a great little site, out of the way and very quiet. We stayed there for 6 nights, the fist couple the site was a bit busier with a few caravans, but as it was the weekend and they left.
When we arrived, I went to the farmhouse and was told to park where I liked and they would come around and collect the payment when we were all settled in. All the caravan and motor home pitches were hard standing around the edge with a grass area in the centre for tents.
Toilets and showers were both kept immaculate by the owner. I could not find any fault with the site, as previous reviews stated.
I almost didn't want to write this review, to keep this hidden away

We've just arrived back from Calder farm after another wonderful weekend. We've been several times now as it's not too far from home and it's an ideal retreat.
The owners are so welcoming and always make time to talk to the campers. The toilets/showers are always clean and warm with plenty of hot water. There are so many beautiful walks and bike rides from the site, every time we visit we discover something different.
First class plant nursery just a short walk away and plenty of places nearby to eat.
We love the great view of Pendle hill when we wake up and the spectacular starry skies on a clear night.
