I camped here with my 3 young children (3, 5, 7). It's a small rural site, with a great view of Pendle Hill. The toilets & showers were clean & warm (hand towels & soap provided) & the dishwash area well equipped.
The site owners (farmers) & their daughters were really friendly & took my 3 children to see the new-born calves one morning.
A simple site with a relaxed feel, and in a great location for exploring the Forest of Bowland & Ribble Valley.
It will be top of my list when I'm next camping in the area.
PS - electric pitches available for tents & caravans

Lovely little CS, well spaced hard standings and friendly but unobtrusive owners.
Just about enough in the way of toilet and shower facilities, though may get busier in the summer months.
Sadly the local pub had closed and another in the village is shut for refurbishment currently but the local garden centre is excellent for food!
The walking is reasonable around here though not overly difficult, just very muddy!
Not the greatest small site but friendly and good sized pitches, we always leave with good memories.

Lovely little site on a farm. Owners helpful and friendly, facilities clean and only £13 a night including EHU.
Pitches well spaced, we needed to use our leveling blocks, but no problem. Really good TV reception, but had to use LW for radio, weird!
Gisburn forest and Stocks reservoir about 15 minutes drive and a lovely day out. Skipton about 30 minutes away, so a good spot for sightseeing.
Point to note is that the nearby Copy Nook pub has closed and may not re-open. Also the coach and horses which is a bit of a stride further is also closed but may reopen this year.

This is a lovely site expertly run and close to home.
We did not have a long enough lead so the owners lent us one of theirs, they are east to get along with.
It's a lovely clean site that is not over crowded. Thanks.

Fantastic site on a lovely working farm. Found the owner really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The facilities were great. Toilets and shower kept clean. Washing up facilities with a freezer to freeze ice packs was very helpful.
Didn't travel far for a short weekend but can see us returning as this place is on our doorstep.
Very dog friendly which was a big bonus for us.
Highly recommended.

Stayed here in July with the family. Good, quiet site. Nice grass pitches for the tents and the toilet block, although small, was never crowded.
Kids enjoyed playing with the other kids on the site.
Nice pub in Sawley for food - Spread Eagle - with the Copy Nook pub within 5 mins walk.
Would stay again.

We have just returned from a weekend staying at Calder Farm Campsite. Its a lovely small and very very friendly site. £11 per night without electric. The toilet block is small with only two showers and two toilets but there was never a queue due to it only being a small site and it was quiet and they are thoroughly cleaned daily.
Showers work on 20p or £1 coins. £1 gets you 8 minutes.
Nearby the village of Bolton by Bowland is beautiful and we were fortunate enough to be there during the May Fate. There is a very small shop in the village but opening times are rare and we had to drive to nearby Gisburn for basic provisions. There are two pubs which we didn't visit but I'm told the Coppy Nook is the better of the two. The site itself is a working farm which the kids loved as they were shown around the barn and got to stroke some of the animals.
The area is great for walking and cycling.
I would recommend this site and we will be visiting again someday.

Stopped here for our first night in our first motorhome, we didn't want to travel to far, I found this site by accident. The site was clean and the owners are really friendly, we will definitely be back to try the local walks and the pubs, the field behind the site is ideal for dog walking. The washing facilities are basic but clean and adequate.

Had a great 2 nights, basic site clean & warm shower room 20p to use and a porta toilet.
Great views of Pendle Hill, The Copy Nook Pub is about 5 mins away, they served food but we did not eat as they were booked up. There is the Spread Eagle pub about 2 miles away but we did not go this time but after speaking to a bar person in the Copy they do allow dogs as the Copy don't and they even have a dog menu, We paid £13 with electric great for stargazing.
Great site will be back nice little bolt hole.
We drove to a Londis shop 5 mins away in Chatburn on our way back from Pendle Hill, A good walk to stretch the legs

Great site with wonderful views, we headed for this site because it was quite near home, and in January we didn't want to travel far. When we rang up they said we where welcome to come but they had works ongoing, so glad it did not put us off, great site, with some of the finest views of pendle hill we have seen, the site itself is quite new with the owners being so helpful. The facilities are a little basic, but spottless clean, will definitely call again,
