Excellent location = very close to Ludlow which is a must for anyone who hasn't visited the town - great place for food whether dining out or just for grabbing supplies not to mention it's history and architecture.
We found the site perfect for what we wanted - peaceful yet with plenty of room for the kids to bike ride. The views are spectacular and the footpaths up into the hill forest are great for either working up an appetite or walking dinner off.
Highly recommended - yes the shower and toilet facilities could maybe do with some attention but it was a minor detail to us.

Lovely campsite on a working farm. Pretty basic 1 shower and 2 toilets but for the money it was well worth it as it was set in a beautiful surroundings in a very peaceful location. The choice of 2 fields in and very relaxed atmosphere with pitch pretty much where you like. Dog friendly and campfires which was a definite plus for us. Lovely walk to the beautiful historic town of Ludlow on the river. Will definitely visit again.

We have just spent two nights at Monstay Farm and have had a fantastic time.
When we arrive we were given the option of two fields. One had fantastic views to the welsh mountains and the other had forest views and a campfire circle. As it was quite windy we chose the field with the campfire circle as it was a bit more sheltered.
There are plenty of animals to keep the children happy, 3 dogs (make sure you pack your food away as they have a tendency to come into your tent and eat anything going!), lambs, horses, cows.
Walking and Mountain Biking is on the doorstep as the forest runs alongside the campsite, and the beautiful town of Ludlow is only 5 mins drive away.
Collecting wood from the forest and lighting the campfire in the evening was a real winner with the children and my husband and I agreed that the sky at night was the best we had ever seen!
The only downside to this campsite is that there is only 1 toilet and 1 shower and although it was not a problem for us as the campsite was very quiet, if it was full you would be waiting for quite some time.
We will definitely be returning in the very near future.
