Very unique with different views from each pitch.
Shower blocks always clean and stocked.
Bins and water supply at each pitch.
Showers powerful but temperamental.

We had a fantastic pitch (#7)at the top of a small hill in amongst the trees. We were nice and secluded within easy walking distance to the facilities. Visited daily by moorhens and some very friendly robins.
Easy cycling distance to Grange-over-sands and a short drive to Kendal and Windermere for days out.
The owners were easy to contact any time on the phone and were around several times a day if you needed anything.
Luckily we had heavy duty pegs as normal pegs would not have been any good on the hard standing.
Also not really anywhere within walking distance for a meal out, but we sort of knew this before booking.

Despite struggling to get a tent peg in the ground on the top field we eventually managed.
So glad we did too because what a treasure this place is. Beautiful place and fantastic walks too.
Stan the owner is a great bloke and always knocking about.
Wish we'd stayed for our remaining 2 nights that we'd booked over in Wigglesworth because that turned into a disaster and had to go home.
Me and the dog will be back. Soon. Just be aware that its a little "up and down" to get in the site. Low vehicles may struggle a bit.

I have just spent 2 wonderful nights here surrounded by beautiful forests, ponds and wildlife.
Stan and Lynne are great owners and very helpful and accommodating.
The pitches are all different and well spaced out and the facilities and loos are spotless!
The enclosed dog field is a great touch.
I cannot rate Noble Wood enough, it really is magical.
You will not be disappointed and will definitely not want to leave 10/10 ☺️

10/10 100/100 clean and quiet.
Perfect little spot. We were given the choice to choose our pitch when we got there, either the pitch Stan had already selected for us or a new trail pitch enclosed for the dogs. We opted for the enclosed pitch.
Each pitch on the site has its own porta loo and metal bin. With flushing toilets, washing up area and shower block in the middle of the site. Absolutely loved this set up. No need to leave the pitch if you didn’t want to.
Lovely and quiet. You get to see some fighter jets whiz over regularly through the morning.
Love that there were no breed restrictions for the dogs or numbers you can take, we took three. Perfect little dog paddock with bin outside for your dogs to play in.
I read some negative reviews from Google but I highly suspect these were written by people who couldn’t follow the simple rules.
It is in the middle of nowhere which is what we wanted. I wouldn’t take your lowered boy racer car to the site as you might struggle to get in up the tracks but normal cars have managed fine.
Pitch sizes of the other pitches seemed large and they were well spaced out, so you wouldn’t be on top of your neighbours.
I think there were only about 7 people booked in when we were there so more than enough room to on your own. We almost forgot there were other people around.
Cleaning took place between 11-1am. A lovely lady came and cleaned our porta loo for us had a chat and said hello to the dogs.
Stan was lovely and chatty, stopped his chores to talk to us about the area, him self and our dogs.
If we are ever up north again we will be back.
Nice late check out time of 11am at the latest which is nice. No need to rush breakfast and pack up.

Nice and secluded, near to wild camping as you can get.
Toilets/facilities clean.
A great base to travel from for various locations.
Well maintained pitches including tables, chairs and fire pits.
Will definitely go again

Had an amazing stay at Noble wood campsite.
Ost was friendly and very helpful, pitch was huge with dedicated WC and bin,
Communal facilities were spotless, lovely hot showers.
This is an adult only site, therefore so peaceful.
We will definitely be back.
Grange over sands is within a nice three mile walk, shops, promenade, cafe, s etc. An excellent place to stay.

Love this site. The lane to it, with a caravan is bit of an adventure but definitely worth it.
Lovely pitches set out in the woods, which used to be a Christmas tree plantation.
The pitches, which are mainly used for tents, are very well spaced out.
The are ponds around the site and whilst we were there, they were covered in Damselfly’s. The bird song is wonderful.
Oh and the facilities are very clean. The owners are great.
Will be back.

I've stayed here a few times now, as an overnight stop on the way to/from Scotland. I've been impressed every time.
The facilities are spotless, the pitches are nicely laid out with plenty of space and privacy.
Each pitch has its own parking space, fire pit, dustbin, table & chairs. The pitches are all level and well spread out.
The night-time lighting is bright enough to be helpful but not excessive. There is a little noise from the nearby road but the site feels peaceful.
The location is fantastic if you're travelling on the M6, only about 15mins from the motorway but still feels remote. There is a very handy petrol station on the dual carriageway between the site and the M6, if you want to avoid the inflated prices at motorway services.
Even just staying overnight I've seen lots of great wildlife here, including a weasel, which is always a treat!
There are plenty of trees suitable for camping hammocks, I've used both hammock and tent here.
Hoping to return for a longer stay at some point and explore the area.

Driving into the site was wonderful, just what we were hoping for, woodland.
The pitches are set apart so you have your privacy and on different levels.
Toilets and showers keep very clean.
Stan and Lynne are very friendly and happy to have a chat when you bump into them (or if you need them during your stay for anything)
Stan did help us out as we forgot our hose to fill up with water.
Loved all the wildlife around plenty to watch.
Little field mice visited us.
There are a few big ponds where a moor hen had just had her chicks.
We would highly recommend this site if you want to get away from it all.
