Beautiful, quiet campsite in a forest setting.
Stan, one of the owners was friendly and helpful on our arrival.
We only stayed one night but would love to go back again to this delightful site,
Well-placed to use as a base for the Southern Lakes

Absolutely love this campsite, set in picturesque woodland setting surrounded by pure bliss and tranquillity. the owners Lynne and Stan are very accommodating and go above and beyond.
The pitches are spacious and some have there very own portable cabin toilet which was an added bonus.
Walking areas all around and some lovely pubs near by (25 minutes walking distance). we travelled to lake Windermere approximately 20 mins away
I would 100% recommend this campsite to anyone who would like to camp in a peaceful environment and admire the beautiful surroundings.

A really nice quiet campsite in the woods, overlooking small ponds. Sufficient gaps in the tree cover to let the sunshine through.
Lots of space between pitches. Every pitch has EHU.
The facilities were kept very clean and were in good working order.
Warm welcome from Lynne who arrived very promptly when we called to say we had arrived.

What a fabulous place, very private with well spaced pitches. The owners are correct in that it is not a party site but this was exactly what we were looking for.
The toilets/ showers are basic but exceptionally clean. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, from arranging electric hook up for the tent to supplying additional logs for the fire.
We will definitely visit again.

Wonderful campsite experience. Large private pitches nestled in their own bit of woodland. Pitches on different levels throughout the woods, all with lovely views over ponds.
Fantastic pitches for campfires whilst listening to the birdsong. The private portaloos were spotless, there is also a nice little shower room.
Would highly recommend this campsite, it is not like any other we have ever stayed at and we would love to go back. 10 minutes from Grange over Sands very pretty promenade. Recommend the walk to hampsfell hospice
Didn't travel with children however there are numerous large open ponds so young children need to be closely supervised, my children would have loved the woodland experience

Stayed for a midweek break for first time and there are so many aspects that we liked. Peace and quiet, friendliness and helpfulness of owners, Lynne and Stan, beautiful,
Picturesque location with ample pitch space, fantastic choice of pitch settings, Covid-safe with each pitch having portaloo with hand sanitiser dispensor, which is cleaned daily, dustbin for each pitch emptied daily, bottled water delivered to pitch each morning, pot wash sink for communal use.
We usually go for adult only sites as we enjoy peace and quiet but as we chose tues to fri not during school holidays, this is exactly what we got and loved to listen to and view nature in its finest setting. Not sure we would have thought the same with a fully booked site over school holidays but this just means we would choose our stay dates and days carefully.
An amazing stay that was just what we needed to recharge. Many thanks to Lynne and Stan.

First time camping and what a fantastic site. Very clean and tidy with spacious pitch.
Beautiful setting very peaceful and relaxing but not far from local shops.
We will definitely be returning on a regular basis to this hidden gem.
Nothing was too much trouble for Lynne and Stan - they are very welcoming and helpful.

Stayed for 1 night with our dog. Lovely secluded feel to the whole site. You can hear the A590 in the distance but it wasn't an issue for us.
All pitches are in their own space, so to speak. There is a cabin with 2 loos & 2 showers, a basin & shower fitting for hair washing, also an outside washing up sink. There are a number of portaloos around the area too.
Ideal for relaxing with tables & chairs dotted about the area & by the pools.
All pitches have electric & a dustbin, we were informed that the tap water doesn't meet drinking standards at present so the site are giving out bottled water on your arrival. Which we didn't really need but was given anyway.
Lynne & Stan, the owners were very welcoming, helpful & informative.
We will be back as soon as we get the chance.
Be aware that the entrance road is single track & uneven, possibly not viable for larger motorhomes but our 6. 4m long van wasn't a problem.
Check out their website for full info.

Absolutely fantastic find!
Loved our peaceful nights stay at Noble Wood.
The camp is spotless! We had our own peaceful spot which made waking up in the woods magical.
Bottled water was provided on arrival along with an electric hook up lead.
Stan couldn't do enough for us. Unfortunately we didn't meet with Lynn but she communicated very pleasantly via email prior to stay.
Thank you Stan and Lynn, we will be back!

The site is amazing - in a beautiful wood with lakes. Lynne and Stan could not have been more helpful and loaned us a cable for our daughters tent and brought water every day.
The facilities were kept spotless and every care was taken re Covid precautions. We were given a lovely pitch next to our daughter who was in a tent. There are tables and chairs provided.
The area is really lovely too.
