We were looking for a very quiet peaceful break and that is exactly what we got. The site was unique to us because the pitches were so private and well spaced out.
Stan was always available if needed and helped when we decided to have our first camp fire.
The site is a fantastic spot if you want get out and about regards the lakes and surrounding areas but we chose to stay on site other than long walks one of which was to Grange over sands.
We would definitely recommend this site

Quiet site.
Functional, clean but basic amenities.
Pitch 3 - astroturf(!) which meant lots of little black gravel plastic brought into campervan on feet - very annoying.
Met by “Stan” on arrival - nice touch with intro to site.

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay, so peaceful and relaxing!
Dog loves it too.
Second time staying here, all pitches have plenty of space and your own electric hook up and toilet as well as a communal shower and washing facilities.
Just what we needed after work stresses.

One of the best! From the time of booking, service was always great. We changed our booking a couple of times and owners were always helpful.
Arrived to be met by Stan, who offered us a choice of two pitches, as soon as we see the first pitch offered there was no choice we stayed there. Beautiful scenery, & very private. We stayed on field view.
Most pitches are nestled in the trees, have electric hook up, a fire pit and a bin which is emptied daily. There is a small field which is more open so if you’re a group of more than one unit you could pitch together, again all had electric hook up and a portaloo for each pitch by the looks of it. We bought two crates of logs at £5 each, this lasted the whole week.
Toilets and showers were always spotlessly clean, plenty of toilet roll always, and a mop is there to wipe floor over after you’ve used it. A couple of times I struggled to get the temperature right but wouldn’t let this put me off.
Washing up facilities were great, again always kept clean.
We wish we could have stayed longer.
Friendly owners! Nothing is too much trouble.
Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back next time we visit the lakes!

Just returned from 2 nights camping at noble wood camping, myself and my husband and our dog really enjoyed the site.
The pitches were surrounded in beautiful woodland with views over some small bodies of water on the site, brilliant for dogs.
Hosts were great, really friendly and approachable but left us to it, just the way we like it.
We loved that it was an adult only site, it was great to go somewhere peaceful and quiet during the school summer holidays.
The only issue that we had was that the first shower didn't seem to be able to regulate water temp or pressure, but that just meant we used the other one, not a problem as there weren't too many other campers so never had to wait for the shower.
We enjoyed driving through the site but we do have a 4x4, normal cars may struggle if the bumper is low.
Location really worked for us, 5 min drive from the beach, 20mins from the lakes but in the middle of nowhere so none of the crowds and traffic.
All in all we had a great time and cannot wait to return.

Lovely location to stay a few nights in. Camped for 4 nights in our Campervan with Drive away awning and there was ample room.
The site is lovely, situated in a forest and the pitches are spread fairly far away from each other. We could only really see one other pitch from our site which worked out great for us. Lots of privacy which you don't often get at campsites.
Facilities are good and kept clean. Toilets are great and the showers are warm and consistent, although I'd recommend using the bigger ones outside of the toilet block as the little ones were either scalding hot or freezing cold. The other showers (to the rear of the toilet block) were perfect though.
There's a great secure dog paddock too which was fantastic for letting our dog run around in, he was very happy to play catch and chase in there for a few hours.
The forest and site is big enough to go for a short walk in, circling the forest.
Location is good, just off a main road so easy to get around to the rest of the lake district.
The road noise did pick up on a wet day, meaning we could hear the road a bit when outside, but on dry days we couldn't hear the road at all.
Will be returning to the site in the future.

Love this site!
Many pitches within a lovely wooded area.
Overflow field available also, which is large and flat and has EHU points for many.
Fire pits provided (or bring your own)
Crates of logs for sale also.
Decent toilet & shower blocks in wooded area.
Modern well kept portaloos dotted around overflow field.
5 minute drive into Grange.
Will be back in August 😊

A very peaceful, well-maintained and picturesque site.
The facilities were spotless, and we even had our own toilet on the pitch.
The site is a great base for trips further into The Lakes.
We have already booked another weekend there!

Beautiful surroundings with amazing pitches all with seats, bins and campfires.
Set in trees with thoughtfully laid out settings.
Owners, Stan and Lynne, were attentive and responsive.
Great time was had by all 10 of us and will definitely be returning.

What a great place. Slightly off the beaten track so quiet and peaceful.
Advise that you look on google maps street view before coming the start of the road is very narrow with blind bends but opens out to a wider road with passing places the entrance is on the right its narrow all the way down to the farm.
The site is to the left when you get to the junction. Its a bit of a roller coaster ride into the woods long campervans and caravans may bottom out.
On arrival we were met by stan who showed us to our pitch, a great size and reasonably level. And great views from our pitch. We managed to set up before it started to rain again.
Toilets and hot showers are basic but kept very clean by the owners.
We bought a tray of fire wood for the pit it lasted for 2 days.
We had a great 7 days here nice and quiet heared a little noise from the main road mainly loud motorbikes n trucks,
The nearest shops are in grange over sands about a 7 min drive away a tesco express was the cheapest there is also a coop and a spar. Also a few cafes and takeaways.
A great base to explore the lakes.
We will be back soon.
