Loved this adult only site. Ideal for exploring the Lake district.
Really friendly owners and a lovely woodland site with well spaced out large pitches.
There is no shop or anything like that on site but the nearest is a short drive away at the nearby village of Grange over Sands.
Very quiet site with the odd low flying fighter jet for entertainment.

Our second stay at Noble wood site
Given the opportunity to choose a pitch, we took pitch 4, most of the day under the trees but in the evenings the sun was right in front of us and overlooking the three ponds,
Very quiet, great nights sleep,
Stan and Lyn look after it so well,
Showers and toilets very clean,
Ideal site for us as we have friends in the village of Lindale,
Will certainly be back again. Pat from Somerset

Peaceful and ideal for a reset in nature away from the busy world.
Clean facilities.
Dog paddock for run off lead and many footpaths over fields nearby for longer walks.
Pub or shop requires a drive out in car as no local facilities due to rural nature.
Booking easy.
Hosts pleasant and helpful.
No complaints at all and will return. Thanks.

Fantastic. Lovely location, set in the woods and each pitch is nicely spread out.
Toilet and shower facilities nice and clean with the shower being nice and hot also.
Stan and Lynn are very helpful and it was a lovely stay.
Would definitely go again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend

Brilliant site. Set in 7 acres of woodland with 16 pitches which only 10/11 used at maximum there's plenty of room for everyone.
We were there with friends in a tent, Stan gave us the option of several pitches. We opted for 2 close together on the hill which was perfect for us as our friends were new to camping.
These were within easy reach of the toilet and shower blocks but the further away ones have their own portaloo on the pitch. Everything was cleaned daily, the dedicated shower block has 2 units, each is a full shower, loo and sink a giant en suite in effect.
Each has it's own water supply and boiler so no loss of pressure/heat when next door flushes! There's a washing up sink and chemical disposal point too.
As there's so few pitches I only had to wait once in the week for a shower unit but that was because Lynne was cleaning it. The pitches all have electric at 16 amp.
Stan even lent us an extension lead as ours only just went to the tent due to the way we'd positioned it. We'd borrowed the tent lead off a mate and didn't realise it was a short one.
A to do thing is get a box of logs off Stan for the included fire pit to see out the end of the day by the fire.
Being near Grange it's a great jumping off point for the south Lakes area. Ambleside (very top of Windermere Lake) is only 40 minutes away.
Lynne & Stan couldn't have been friendlier and helpful and we will return.

We have just returned from five wonderful nights at Noble Woods. We had a very welcome from Lynne, who gave us a choice of pitches and said we could position the caravan anyway we liked.
We ended up on Pitch EB, which must have been the size of half a tennis court with its own driveway.
The pitch had its own water supply, as well as a large table and chairs and its own fire pit (as do all the pitches). We met Stan, the other owner, who gave us lots of information about the local area and we also bought a box of logs from him for £5 which was plenty for five nights so we could sit out and enjoy a glass of wine.
There is a huge enclosed dog field, where our dog had a brilliant time running around with other dogs.
The toilets and showers were spotless with plenty of hot water and powerful showers. Stan seemed to be checking the facilities several times a day.
There are only a few pitches suitable for caravans and motorhomes, and the approach road should be driven with care.
There are several good walks from the site, including one into Grange over Sands where you will find all the shops and cafes that you need. Cartmel is also very well worth a visit - we were lucky enough to watch a wedding taking place at the local church.
All in all a brilliant site, and we will definitely be booking to visit again.

We booked here last minute, after looking at UKCampsite. We stayed on an electric hook up pitch in our campervan.
We were greeted by Stan on arrival, he showed us to our pitch. We were so impressed with the pitches, they offer privacy and beautiful views over the gorgeous woodland and ponds. He gave us an extension for the hook up.
We bought a basket of logs for the fire pit, just £5 for a huge basket of excellent logs. It was so tranquil on our pitch. In the morning we enjoyed the sound of birds and the view over the pond.
We took a walk into Grange over sands, around an hours walk. Then back to Noble wood for a fire and a few glasses of wine overlooking the pond and woodland. So peaceful.
The facilities are impeccably clean. Stan was friendly and helpful during our stay.
We would definitely return to Noble wood. It's a gem of a site in a beautiful area. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Loved my stay here: beautiful site run by wonderful people.
Great location, walking distance from Grange over sands or buses available.
Or to just stay on site and enjoy the ponds, trees and relaxation.
