This is my 4th visit here and every time I come I feel welcome, the staff are great. Nice that you have the personal touch as they know me now! Stayed in an S Pod again. The towels were arranged into swans on the bed (lovely touch by talented staff!). The pods have anything you could need with full cutlery/utensils, heating and even a DVD player! The views were even more amazing as tide changes from last year created different views. People on site friendly as they recognised me and met new people as everyone talks to each other. Have read the review about the road. This is not the owners fault as their road is smooth it is the council road on approach that has a few bumps. Just drive carefully and its fine! Also Joanne and her husband are always very friendly and have time for a chat when I'm here, they even let me late checkout as the pod wasn't being used that night which was a lovely touch and I felt very welcomed by them. It was also lovely to see all the great friendly animals and the little ducklings who have grown since May! Look forward to coming back in May

Had another great weekend at this site. Getting a shoreside pitch is great. Views are fantastic and right at the walkway to the beach. Staff couldn't be any friendlier and even when we got home was phoned to tell us we had not received our discount with being a frequent user so they refunded my bank card with the funds, wouldn't have known any different. First class service and shop has everything you need.

I thought I was back in the East Riding of Yorks, the final 2miles of single track road was full of pot holes and loose gravel.
After booking in, we were shown to our serviced pitch on the shore side, a EHU tower with a cold water tap, the pitch was a disappointment, muddy potholes and sand.
The reception has a decent licensed shop with the usual products for sale, laundrette and waste/fresh water points. There is a small petting Zoo on the park.
The shower/WC cubicles are kept clean, however it is a £1 for approx 5 minutes of shower time, included in the price was hair shampoo from dispensers, the toilets are in the same cubicle.
There is a £20 pre payment for a key fob, this is refundable on leaving the site. The bay is tidal and I would not recommend unsupervised children playing along the shore area. Have a look on Google earth and view the area from above.
I was disappointed at the premium rates and £2 per night for my wee Dog, I was told it was to pay staff to clean up after it, however there was 4 old farm dogs crapping at will amongst the pitches.
The staff were warm and friendly, also a beauty spa on the park, however we will not be returning

Well laid out site with spotlessly clean facilities! The owners obviously take a lot of pride in the upkeep of the park and amenities. We were placed in the Croft section with nearly every kind of animal imaginable in the enclosed field wandering past our back window!) Adult section ensures you get a long lie in after working hard all week. Bliss! Shower cubicles are exceptional with a nice touch including shampoo/conditioner dispensers included in the price of a shower at £1 which was well worth the price, although my other half grumbled at being charged then admitted after being dragged to have a shower that it was rather nice!
My only small complaint about the site was that I would have loved to been able to use the Powfoot spa and it was fully booked in advance (only 4 allocated time slots in the day, bookable online). We had a peep in the window and the spa looked quite big and would imagine it could hold at least 8/10 people at the one time. But as its for 'your own private time' there might only be 2 people using it at the one time. The owners have obviously decided this is popular but unfortunately limits the amount of visitors being allowed to enjoy this facility.
Unfortunately no on site bar/restaurant so we walked 15 mins down the road and had an enjoyable meal and a few drinks at the Powfoot Golf Hotel (take a torch if walking back in the dark).
4 miles country road cycle/car to the nearby town of Annan.

After reading the many previous reviews, we went with an open mind & were prepared for the 'breezy weather'. We were welcomed on a torrential rainy Saturday afternoon & directed to a fab size pitch with EHU in the Paddock area(Pitch 20), we eventually got the tent up & settled in for an extremely windy night, 1 0f a few windy nights! The shower block is exceptional & one of the best we have encountered & despite many reviews mentioning cost of £1 per shower I have to say they are well worth a £1, the level of cleanliness is perfect, nice hot showers & a 5 minute timer is more than adequate. No waiting, hairdryer too(20p), whilst I agree other sites may not charge for showers they sometimes charge for wi-fi, Queensberry do not charge, so 'swings & roundabouts' really. There is a launderette type room, a communal kitchen. The animals in pets corner are great, Alpacas, emus, horses, ducks, rabbits, hamsters, donkeys, some fab characters. The main attraction for us was the vast expanse of beach, fantastic for dog to run around. No complaints for us whatsoever regarding this fantastic site, staff are so friendly & helpful, only a minor gripe that some of the regular owners do not pick up doggy doo in the grassed areas down to beach(we actually witnessed an owner), you actually need to walk on this area to get to the beach if you don't want to wade through a large pool of water, personally I'd rather take risk of pool water as opposed to stepping in doo! Cant wait to go back there, soon hopefully!

My wife and i visited this site for 2 nights and i have never left a site more angry in 20+ years of camping.
I drive a small car and pull a small trailer when going camping. Never had a problem until now. When booking online there is no mention of any charges for a trailer. (i always check).
On arrival the young lady on reception pointed to the trailer and said you will have to pay for that. What, no way. And it was left at that. On check out i went to collect my £20 deposit whick i left as deposit for the shower block key. I was given £14. They had taken £3 a night for the trailer. Underhand.
We were given a adult only pitch on the croft section of the site, the pitch was huge and level. The ground is firm and sandy so no problems pitching. The site make a lot on their website about the wind in the area, and the pitches on the croft are wide open to the wind in any direction, no shelter at all. This area is also surrounded by animals, donkeys, llamas etc. Even though its a adult area we had a steady stream of excited youngster trooping past our tent every day and night.
We also noticed at least 2 large group of children coming onto the site from the surrounding area, to see the animals, which to us was a security issue.
As mentioned in previous reviews the toilet block is great. We did not mind paying £1 for a shower(price included on website). We always found them clean with plenty of hot water and also soap, shampoo and lotion. My only fault about them was one morning at 9. 30am i found a sigh saying this area closed for cleaning and the gents being cleaned. I know they have to be cleaned but at what i suspect to be the busiest time of the day.
The small shop on site is was open 9am til 9pm and stocked the essentials. Annan is a short drive away for everything else.
The site was clean and tidy, however the road into the site is full of potholes, i was told at reception this was the councils responsibility and t complain to them.
We would not return.

We had a shoreside pitch, it was huge, we have a campervan with double awning and still had plenty of room, the facilities on site were the best weve ever used.
The spa was lovely, 2 hours completely to ourselves, heaven.
The girls in reception were lovely and friendly,
The shop was very reasonable and the takeaway hot drinks facility was very reasonable too. I love hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows and could even have one of those for a very cheap price, We loved everything about this site.

After looking at the website for Queensbury Bay holiday park both my Wife & I were really looking forward to our 3 night stay there, we had booked private use of the spa & were looking forward to the shoreside location.
We were very disappointed when we arrived, the pitch looked no more than a layby at the side of the road, compared to a lot of other sites we have visited the pitch was very narrow. Their rule of a maximum of 4 people per unit means that we will not be able to re-visit with our 3 children.
They boast a vast selection of animals that children can see & feed, that is if the animals actually come up to the fences, the duck, rabbit & guinea pig enclosure is completely covered in wire so no child can actually handle the animals.
The kiddies area only has a pair of goal posts, no climbing frame or playground.
The beach is lovely but quite a walk to get to and the sea goes out for miles.
The spa is amazing, both my wife & I commented that it was the best part of the site, although children are not allowed inside even with parents.
All in all it is a clean site, with fair facilities, the big plus for us was the location nearby to Annan & Gretna - sadly we will not be returning, even without the children.

Got to say the facilities ie toilets, campers kitchen are spotless. £20 deposit for a key and £1 for a shower which is well worth the money. With long hair I rushed to shampoo and condition it only to realise there's a countdown timer and I had time to wash without rushing. The downside of this site is that it's ideal for families with the many animals on site however with the '4 per unit' they would not accept our grandchild, a baby as a 5th person which would mean families with 3 or more children would need to set up 2 tents and pay for two pitches even if one is a baby which is a bit sad so for this reason I'm giving it a 6/10 for child friendliness Also there is a tent length restriction so if your looking for that sea view in a bigger tent your not going to get it here. All in all we were looking for a clean, nice site not too far from the motorway. If the campers beside us had read the no noise after. Rule we might have got sleep the first night too but be warned. The emu's snore!

Lovely area and very tidy site. Fantastic facilities, ladies bathrooms look like a hairdressers salon, even have a leather couch. Lovely, clean wet room showers. They run for 5 mins and I had plenty of time. We even had music in the bathrooms. Friendly staff and lay out was clear and very friendly. We stayed in Kiddie corner, so safe and not far to toddle to the animals or safe play areas. My daughter loved the animal. My first meeting with an Emu! Highly recommended site. We will definitely go back.
