This is a large, fairly level, grass site spread over several fields separated for caravans and tents. We stayed on the Caravan Club field that had pleasant rural and distant sea views. It is also reasonably close to the rather dated toilet block, which was adequate despite the numbers on the site. The facilities were satisfactory (not the the best we have seen), although the cleaners get in very early and seem to think it is ok to leave the floors awash. The welcome here was warm and friendly and there is a useful shop for essentials and newspapers. There is even a very handy restaurant/cafe. There is also a path to a sandy beach with lifeguard, but this is rough and very steep from the cliff top. Overall, a great location we will definitely return to.

My first stop on a multi-stop week in Cornwall and this site provided the ideal, archetypal start, it was Cornwall through and through. There was a sea view, you could see the Longships Lighthouse, Cornish stone walls, it was sunny but with a stiff breeze and a friendly welcome, I knew I was in the heart of Cornwall and had a week of this to look forward to.
Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly lady on a tractor who was happy for me to choose where to go and although less than half full I still decided to take my van to the far camping field which was only really for tents. This field was closest to the sea and felt quite separate from the rest of the site, yes a bit of a walk from the toilets, but worth the splendid isolation.
The toilets were old, but spotless and very much fitted in with the traditional feel to the campsite, as a contrast the reception block, including shop and restaurant were modern and although I had no need of either I’d imagine on a longer stay they would be useful addition.
I decided to walk to Land’s End and back, probably 6/7 mile round trip. The coast path is easily accessible and I enjoyed a brief stop in Sennen, which feels relatively untouched by the second homer, middleclasification that seems to be ruining so much of the rest of Cornwall. Land’s End was quickly traversed through and an inland route taken back to the site.
I would have been more than happy to spend more than just one night here, but it is a little isolated and to get anywhere would have been a bit of an effort, but this site is wonderfully Cornish and I will definitely visit again.

Great location for walking or cycling. Lovely sea views. Toilet/shower blocks are very clean and regularly checked. Well stocked shop with fresh meats and homemade cakes. Café is bright and cheerful with a lovely chef with a natural passion for cooking, very good menu, excellent homemade specials and a substantial Sunday Roast from fresh. Wendy and John couldn't do enough for us and it was really appreciated. Definitely recommend to friends and Motorhome sites. Gary & Jill

Spent 3 nights in June with mixed weather.
We phoned to book a pitch in the Caravan Club field and asked for a good sea view, so they gave us a great pitch at the front of the Aire Point, overlooking the sea. Our pitch had electricity, water and a drain. Pitches were well spaced. The tent field looked great too with fantastic views.
Access to the site is down a very long, narrow private lane with a few passing places that would only work if one vehicle is a smallish car. We made sure we left in good time on our final morning to avoid meeting anyone coming in.
The site has a well stocked shop and a new cafe that did reasonably priced meals, but we didn't eat there. The site wifi was temporarily down whilst we were there, but there was free wifi in the cafe.
The main toilet/shower block was very good and clean with plenty of hot water (push button showers). There was also a small toilet block at the edge of the tent field which was also very clean.
The wind was very strong, but walk down the (very steep) steps to the beautifully secluded bay and you are sheltered.
We walked the easy coastal path to Lands End and the scenery is stunning. Sennen Cove is the next bay along, much bigger but not as pretty as the one by the site which was quite special.
There is a bus stop outside the site but buses are very infrequent. We took one to Porthcurno to visit the Minack Theatre which is well worth a visit. We wanted to stay for a play but had to get the one bus back to Lands End and then wait over an hour for the next bus back to the site. There are no shops/pubs in walking distance.
I would recommend this site to anyone for a short stay, and for a long stay if you have use of a car (or smaller Motorhome than ours).

We rolled up to this site on spec, fresh from the culture shock that is the Lands End Shopping Mall. In the shoulder season the reception office is open mornings and evenings and, although we expected to wait for it to re-open at 4pm, someone was on duty before then and we were allocated an almost level pitch in the main field with a sea view.
And what a view - at about 100m above sea level you can see out to Wolf Rock and the Scilly Isles. Lands End Airport is about a mile away to the north but the aircraft noise wasn't intrusive. Although not shown on the OS map as a right of way, there is a footpath to the Gwynver Beach available by crossing two small fields to the west (providing you can cope with inquisitive heifers) and descending a steep path. The SW Coast Path runs past the beach, offering dramatic views either going south towards Sennen or north to St Just. We caught a bus back from St Just and the driver dropped us at the site entrance.
On the site the facilities blocks, whilst a little dated, are kept clean and tidy. The shop was surprisingly well stocked for October but the cafe was not available. There are plentiful waste and recycling bins and well distributed water points. Motorhomers are treated to a proper drive-over grey waste point. The owners have carpet-bombed the site with wi-fi aerials but, as there was a significant charge we didn't take up the offer.
Altogether a most enjoyable stay, despite the weather.

We have just spent 3 weeks in our caravan at this lovely site. On arrival we got a friendly welcome and a choice of pitches suitable for our needs.
The pitches are of good size, level and firm. Even after a couple of very windy days the pegs for the awning stayed secure, although storm straps are recommended. The grass is cut on each pitch as soon as it is vacated.
The views are stunning with great sea views. The beach is only a few minutes walk away but the access path to it is quite steep. Plenty of footpaths and quiet lanes to walk the dogs. We had no problem with excessive noise or cars arriving late at night.
The toilet / shower blocks are clean, warm and the showers are plenty hot enough. They are regularly cleaned and as on the continent mops and squeegees are available to clean the shower cubicles after you have used it.
The Staff are very friendly and helpful if needed but allow you to enjoy your stay without hassling you like some Wardens do.
This is a working farm and a great camping site. From some of the previous negative reviews I can only suggest that if you want the 5* facilities and over zealous wardens then pay the extra money.

Turned up as a group of students hiking the coast path and were made very welcome. We had booked in advance and paid £25 deposit which was quite reasonable. This is a big campsite with separate field for tents away from all the caravans - this had its own toilets, showers and washing up which were a bit more spidery than the caravanners' facilities, but perfectly adequate. We were in fact quite glad to have our own space. Facilities were basic but clean - cleaned often in fact, by a young male attendant who encountered one of our ladies emerging from the shower!
Shop and cafe were good, open early and late and served some of us well for breakfast. A particular highlight were a litter of unusually friendly farm kittens who greeted us on arrival.
These farm cats did a good job with the vermin - not a mouse in sight - but had clearly failed to control the slug population. We were greeted by a good few dozen slugs emerging from the undergrowth in the evening and managing to destroy our rubbish bag overnight. Not a pleasant thing to clear up the next morning, but slugs are an unavoidable part of camping really. Still, can't reccommend to slug phobics!
Overall good though, friendly and helpful.

Access to this site could not really be easier with a wide entrance directly off the A30 taking you down a single track private road int the site.
This is a working farm and you access reception and the site through the farm yard.
They are very flexible with regards to booking in. Although stipulated arrival time is 2. 30pm they are very flexible and accommodating. A large field is given over to early arrivals and if your pitch is empty you can go onto the site. We were pitching up at 9. 30am.
All pitched are on grass, , but the ground is firm so does not cut up. Ignore earlier observations about long grass as this simply isn't the case. All pitched are mown as they are vacated ready for the next occupants.
Reception sells a few essentials and the cafe seems to do a roaring trade.
The family that run this delightful site seem to really enjoy what they do. They are very pleasant and are always ready for a chat.
The toilet blocks are a throw back to the 1980s, but were functional none the less and were always clean when we went into them.
The site has a very interesting vibe with a great mix of clientèle. A Caravan Club site it is not though, so if you are expecting sparkling outfits, manicured lawns and 5* toilet blocks and enthusiastically enforced rules by ever present wardens you will be disappointed.
The site is in an exposed area catching everything that the Atlantic can throw at it and weather can change quickly.
There is a Cost Cutter in Sennen, a Co-op in St Just (both within a few miles), but for a big shop you will need to travel the 8 miles back to Penzance for Tesco or Morrisons.

We stayed at this site recently, and we couldn't wish for a better site. The views over the sea was fantastic. The toilets was very clean, and the showers do get very hot. The on-site cafe does excellent food daily. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, There is a nearby beach, but its a bit hard walking down, not good for prams. Lands End is only minutes away from the site, overall this is one of the best places we have stayed on, and we will be visiting again, thank you all for a wonderful stay.
