Site, excellent, clean, tidy, pretty, quiet, walking distances to pubs, restaurants, and Marazion town and beaches. Most pubs dog friendly also throughout the places visited.
Staff excellent, friendly, polite, very helpful and customer focussed, nothing too much trouble; would highly recommend this site.
Local neighbouring places of interest, only a few miles drive, Falmouth 25 miles away, worth a day out, St Ives, less than 10 miles and Penzance 4 miles. We went off in our camper to the places mentioned on various days, and we were surprised to find that if we got there early enough, we could park our 22 foot camper for free all day along the promenade in Penzance.
Would highly recommend and definitely visit again.

The fourth time I've been here and always perfect. Friendly staff. A reasonably priced although small store and a great indoor pool.
Power showers work well and the toilet facilities are kept very clean.
Not for party animals but perfect for a quiet and secure stay in the most beautiful part of the world.

Loved Everything. Shower block was fabulous. 4 double hooks per cubicle, big rain showers, hairdryer, clean! Washing up facilities with tea towels & washing liquid provided.
Ice pack freezer with the offer to use the site's ice packs whilst yours are freezing! Shop well stocked and well priced. Pool warm, clean and calm! Staff absolute dream. So friendly and helpful. Cannot fault this site. Pitch 6 is brilliant. Quiet and level with plenty of space. We will definitely be back!
Great 15 minute walk to the beach of Marazion. 20 mins drive from anywhere!

We stayed at Wheal Rodney for 12 nights in June, the site is in a quiet location 10/15 minutes walk from Marazion and is a short drive to Penzance.
The site is spotlessly clean with well maintained gardens, well equipped laundry room and a small shop in the reception. The staff were pleasant and helpful, we have a large 6 man tent and the pitch was a good size with ETH.
The toilets / showers were clean and there was an indoor pool on site, while the Gents toilets/showers were spotlessly clean they were dated and could do with updating.
We would definitely stay here again.

This is our 11th year at this site and we have already booked for next year.
Facilities are great although there are only 2 showers in the ladies over 11 years I have only had to queue twice! The pool is fantastic and always warm with staff ensuring the rules are adhered to.
It is a sort walk into Marazion and Penzance is only a few miles away as are many great beaches, walks, pubs etc.
Wheal Rodney is a great base for the part of Cornwall, the site has a quiet before 8am and after 10pm so if you are looking for peace and quiet this is it.
Fantastic site and probably the best we ever visit.

We stayed at this site mid last year after turning up with no booking. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we pitched 3 tents and made full use of the excellent facilities.
It was a quiet site, with a noise curfew at 10pm, which was fine for us as we hiked for 20 miles and were ready for bed by 9:30.
I would recommend this site to hikers and campers and it is my first choice for camping west Cornwall in 2016.

We stayed over the Bank Holiday weekend at short notice. The site was busy but we were offered a choice of 3 pitches and chose one near the entrance.
The pitches were a good size and level, the facilities were fine for us and kept nice and clean.
Marazion itself is a 10 - 15 minute walk and there is a good bus service to go further afield if you want.
The town has plenty of eating and drinking outlets, one of the best we found was the Delicious deli and café, excellent food and good service.
Overall a good value friendly site, we will certainly use again.

Good Site, facilities basic but very clean.
Quiet site with a friendly atmosphere meaning campers (incl. Caravanners) & bungalow guests are relaxed and can enjoy their holiday.
I thought it was cheap by today's prices (£20/night) for end March and over Easter
Pitches good, not sure why negative comments on pitch 1 & 2, in my opinion 6 & 7 would be the trickiest to get on but not really if motor mover and/or half decent reversing skills. Easy to get twin axle on and off pitch 2 (one there when we were) and we got onto pitch 5 easily with little to no effort despite the worst towing journey/experience ever encountered due to the strong winds and rain.
The lane outside the site being closed meant a tricky arrival to the site (tight turn between 2 houses up the hill at bottom of road).
Pitches by reception look nice, well laid out and sheltered.
Pool is absolutely fantastic, warm, decent size etc; A welcome addition to the site.
As initial line suggests, the toilet block facilities are basic but always spotless and all you need.
Laundrette and kitchen are again, clean, but also well equipped and a microwave mean you have everything you need.
If I was being critical, the chemical disposal was a bit of a pain but hey ho, not really an issue (only thing I could think that would annoy other caravanners).
Pasty shop & chip shop are good (even if they do break the healthy diet).
Location superb, 2 mins to Marazion local shops pubs & chip shop. 5 mins drive to supermarkets (Good Sainsbury’s).
Close to St. Michaels Mount (obviously!), Penzance, St Ives, Falmouth, Lizard and many other places of interest, even Perranporth, Newquay are not too far for a day tripper.
We used the site as a base but on reflection, would have made more use of pool and the local beaches if weather was better.

Had 3 nights here in August and really wished it could have been for longer. We felt that the facilities were really good and clean too. The shop was good in that it had the basics you would expect plus ice creams and free charging of electronic devices.
The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful and you really felt nothing was too much trouble.
he washing room was good, didn't use washers or driers myself but looked easy and reasonable. Sinks (2) were good as inside and cloths, liquid and towels to dry area provided. Microwave ideal as I used to do beans for the fry up! The swimming pool was fabulous! Really warm and a fairly decent size. Also, your stuff comes in with you in a basket so not left in the changing room.
Toilets were clean, nice sinks and showers (toasty warm) and free use of hairdryer in the ladies 'powder room's complete with mirrors.
Lots of information on site as to what to do and see. Also has freezer block fridge, which we used. Also has a vending machine with hot drinks, very useful!
All in all, a fantastic visit. Those people who had problems with 'concrete' under their pitches may have found tree roots! For those who had issues with the sounds of wildlife, I would agree that there was noise from birds. I happen to like waking to bird song and, what's more, I expect it as it is the countryside!
Definitely going back to Wheal Rodney!

Chose this site because of generally good reviews but. It is a site that caters for park homes, a few purpose built s/c 'bungalows2 and a tent field. What is left ie the grass verges on the access road are for motorhomes and caravans - not ideal and looks like an afterthought to get more money in.
You can hear the Marazion bypass and if you are on the first couple of pitches you will also be living under several families of crows or rooks ( don't know the difference but I know they were VERY noisy early morning) who live in very large trees that tended to keep sunlight off the pitch. Facilities very run down and not well cleaned.
2 small showers for men also no bucket or mop to clean them before/after use. I am told ladies did have a mop and bucket but during our stay it was never filled with water and disinfectant. Staff not very interested - happy to sit around and chat but not clean. All in all very disappointing. Would not return
