Very Friendly staff, very clean site and comfortable Bungalow. Would certainly recommend to anyone and if able to do so, return there. Five star throughout. Ample parking and close to amenities. They even clean the bungalows daily which in itself says a lot about how well this site is managed. St Michaels Mount was wonderful and Wheal Rodney is an ideal base for those wishing to drive out to Lands End, or any of the other areas of that part of Cornwall. In our 8 day stay we managed to go to 16 other resorts/ coves / bays and views were fantastic.

Two adults in a largish motorhome. This site is everything it says it is. Pool was warm as was the welcome, and compared to some in Cornwall, site charges were reasonable.
Toilets and showers were clean and tidy. We didn't need to use the shop but could have purchased any essentials if the need arose.
The local bus stops right outside, but the walk to Marazion takes just 10 minutes and public transport from there to nearby large towns is very good.
Good selection of pubs within walking distance. Has all the attributes of a family run site combined with the facilities of a much larger one.
Will definitely be coming back.

My family have been visiting this site for over 20 years and have seen so many improvements made in that time. It is a delightful site about 15 minutes walk from Marazion village centre, where it is really easy to access the lovely beach there and St Michael's Mount.
The town of Penzance is a 10 minute drive and offers all the amenities of a seaside town plus a bustling harbour and the ferry to the Isles of Scilly.
There is also a local bus which passes the end of the campsite 3 times a day.
The campsite has 10 bungalows for 2 - 4 people and they are very well equipped with microwaves, free view tv and electric showers and very comfy beds.
Facilities for campers are very good too with a lovely clean shower block that has a constant supply of hot water. The shop/reception area offers basics such as milk, bread, tinned goods, snacks etc, and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
The campers field is set to one end of Wheal Rodney and although smallish it is level! It is a quiet site with the only annoying sound being the rooks but after a while you don't hear them.
The small pool is a lovely place to relax after a hard day at the beach and is always warm and clean.
There is a pub at the end of the lane, The Fire Engine, which is family friendly, and offers a good variety of home-cooked food.It has the most beautiful views over Mounts Bay and St Michael's Mount.

A very nice site, well maintained with good level pitches. Showers are small but spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water at all times. Toilets always clean and all facilities were first class - nice friendly people on site who are very helpful.
A quiet site apart from the rooks - we hope to return next year. We didn't use the pool but I did have a look in and it looked great and seemed popular. There is a small shop on site for bread, milk, eggs etc and the local bus passes the main entrance to the site 3 times a day.

Small site with spotlessy clean facilities and fantastic water pressure on the showers which makes a change, and they don't run out of hot water either.
Little reception and shop selling basic stuff. Free guest library with a surprising amount of choice. Beautifully warm indoor swimming pool. Easy walk down to the town centre and beach, around 15 minutes.
Dog friendly with easy access to doggy walks around the site. Wi fi cost £3 for the week, but I am not complaining as it was good to have it.

We were down in Cornwall visiting friends in Marazion, hence using this campsite. The toilets and showers were always clean, and the showers hot. The small shop was useful, and there was plenty of useful information on the walls of the amenity building. The site managers were very helpful when my husband had to leave very early and come back very late one of the days of our stay.
We did, though, find it quite pricey (ok, so we do camp with four children which puts the price up when you're paying per person not per pitch), and although we'd kindly been given one of the largest pitches, we thought if the camping field was full, it would feel very crowded.
There wasn't really any space for the kids to play (they ran around the space in the middle, but this was designated tent spaces, just vacant at the time). The site was very quiet, which I can imagine would be lovely for couples without children, but we felt a bit rude and did a fair bit of shhhing at our lot. No one complained, but it just felt like a proper 'quiet' site.
Local area is gorgeous- lovely beaches, and causeway to St. Michael's mount is magical.

We stayed here for four days after the main Easter holiday. It was very quiet, not many people about, but lovelier for that! The pool was always warm, the changing area always clean.
The facilities were spotless throughout our visit which enhanced our enjoyment of this site even more. We loved this site: it is extremely well maintained by the owners and is definitely one to go back to.

We have now been to this site for a number of years and yes, the showers are small but something that you can put up with whilst on holiday. Even during the bad weather the showers and toilets were kept spotless. The site is fairly level which is uncommon in Cornwall as it's a hilly county!Yes, putting in pegs can be difficult but the geology of the county dictates what's under the surface and you manage. The swimming pool is always nice and warm and clean. Supermarkets are a 10 min drive. Dog walk just a few minutes from the pitches. All in all a brilliant site and have already booked for next year.

This small site was well run - entrance past chalets/bungalows a little offputting but small fields for camping were pleasant with views inland. Staff were friendly and welcoming, facilities immaculate and a nice touch was the camper's 'library' or book exchange and lots of info on locality. Didn't stay long enough to try out pool but I am sure it was excellent. Our main disappointment was the noisy bypass nearby (don't remember hearing rooks!). Lovely walk along track and lane behind campsite down into Marazion and over causeway at low tide to walk around harbour in sunset - various pubs/restaurants available on route back through village too. Lots and lots to do in area. Lovely spot, and will probably use again!

We visited this site in early July 2009. A small compact site and as we had booked in early February we could choose our pitch which was pitch 1 at the entrance under the large trees. Although the site was large it was fairly uneven for a motorhome(20ft long). We had to use ramps to level the van. The pitch was uneven right up tot he fence with tree stumps sticking out of the ground. Inserting pegs for the small awning resulted in difficulty of insertion and withdrawal due to the thick roots gripping the pegs.
The amenities were good although the showers were very small with little room for anything other than a towel, clothes had to be left on the sink in the wash room. Toilets were spotless and well maintained. The small shop (2 small shelves) had limited supplies and no newspapers. The site WiFi was no use as the signal did not reach our pitch but at £3 per week was good value if you sat next to the reception.
The bus ran from outside the site about 3 times a day and the same return. Ideal for getting to Marazion or Penzance. The small parking area near our pitch was always full of cars from the campers or locals using the swimming pool (excellent pool) although you could only use it at certain times of the day or week due to locals and school children using the facilities. The area is really excellent for tourists, especially with a bus pass! as you can go ANYWHERE in Cornwall for free. St Michael Mount was interesting although the cost to the castle was expensive. Beaches were superb and large and not too busy. Car parking is expensive and at a premium, no places to park outside of the private car parks. Motorhomes/campervans often park (and stay overnight) along the beach parking strip. There a some small shops in the town but Penzance is only a half hour walk away. Tesco and Morrisons are within walking distance( or a short bus ride.
Evrything considered it is a nice site but bring EARPLUGS for the rooks!
