We visited this site during the sunshine to look at it before a group of us went for the weekend. And it was lovely, very clean and tidy and well presented. Staff very friendly when booking and showed us around when we visited. First impressions were extremely favourable.
Then we arrived in the pouring rain in what must have been the wettest weekend ever! We had been moved from the original spot as the tourers needed to be towed into place, so at first we weren't very happy. However we got on with it in the pouring rain, knee deep in mud and made the best of it. Electric hook up was a god send even though due to the weather conditions kept tripping. The site owner was so helpful throughout and it would appear if it could go wrong it would do over the weekend, however nothing was too much trouble for them. They couldn't apologise enough even though they couldn't do a thing about the torrential rain.
The Monday blessed us with sunshine so we were able to go out for a wander, so we went down by the river which was a lovely walk.
We will return again as we all had a brilliant time and hopefully next time we will have sunshine! Thank you for helping to make the weekend a success when it could have ended up being one of the worst experiences ever.

Disappointed with this site. Stayed over the Easter holidays. Had to check booking confirmation more than once and when we arrived our pitch had been taken over by someone else who had pitched the wrong way around! Moved to a hard standing pitch which was a blessing in the end as the rain was torrential and the field couldn't cope and subsequently flooded (our other party member had to wade through ankle deep water & mud to get to their door!). Pitches on the field were very crowded. Toilets and showers weren't cleaned for the whole weekend (despite a couple of complaints to staff) mud everywhere, someone tried to blame it on kids! Wouldn't say it was value for money.

Great site stayed Saturday 29th March very friendly site. Facilities very clean and tidy. A very friendly site lots of wild birds to look at. We paid a visit to the bar in the evening and had a great time met some really nice local people. The barman was really friendly just for him we would just like to say he would look much better in a nice black shirt rather than the white baggy one ha ha, we didn't have a meal but certainly would on our next visit.

We have just returned from a weekend at this site. For those readers who used to visit Maustin Park before it was taken over, and have been put off by some recent reviews, please give it a go. Yes, the showers don't have free shower gels etc now, but they are cleaned at least once a day. The grass when we visited had just been cut, the flower beds were in full bloom and the trees and hedging had been pruned. The sun was shining and it looked a picture!
We feel that the bar/restaurant is much more suited to campers rather than the sophisticated residents from the local villages. The food is well cooked, well presented and more of bar food quality and price than upper class restaurant. The staff are all friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already pencilled in for at least 2 more visits before July.

Loved it! We visited with our 4 year old and yes there isn't anything for children to do but isn't this what camping is all about, away from it all. We don't want a site with amusements and a club, we want somewhere to spend time as a family and this place ticked all the boxes for us. The only complaint was the showers could have been a bit cleaner.
We went for a meal at the bar one evening which was lovely, the children's meal went down a treat with our little lad. Great walk down by the river for the dog.

Went back to Maustin Park for the first time since last year and was disappointed, since the last time new owners have took over the site, it used to be adult only, but now children are allowed, and there is nothing at all for children on the park, toilets ok, 2 showers only 1 working
In the gents not good enough especially bank holiday weekend, cleanliness deteriorated since last visit, site was totally overbooked just putting people anywhere there is talk of it being made for statics only for me the sooner the better, it seems they are just trying to run a nice little park down.

Lovely tidy quiet little site for a reasonable price. It seemed more geared to the platinum generation what with the comfortable bar/lounge and the lawn bowling.
Very much out the way in peaceful surroundings and the shower block being clean, tidy and plentiful. A nice lawn area with electric if you have a tent or about 10 hard standings which slightly slope but certainly not a problem. But the best part for me was the full english breakfast served for a couple of hours in the morning. The wife has a wheat allergy so certain foods are a no-no and it's always difficult when ordering food but the ladies here were more than accommodating and piled her plate with extra portions of what she could have. We didn't eat in the evening as we were only passing through for the one night but from what we heard the evening meals were just as good and I'm looking forward to returning

Great site, well maintained if not a little small for tents and tourers.
All facilities are spotless and the bar looks great - but we didn't use it.
Very quite site, not much in the way of road noise, with great shelter from trees all around the touring site.
We arrived at about 530, but no-one around, so the guy in the pub told us to pitch anywhere - was a little tight, but not problems.
No ball games for our 6 and 9 year olds was a bit of a nuisance, but overall would recommend and definitely planning to return.

This is a really lovely, well kept site with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Only quite small but still spacious and in quiet location, yet close to some nice locations eg. Wetherby, Harrogate, Harewod House etc. The facilities were good, clean and big enough for the site.
There's a very nice restaurant/bar on site which is done out very nicely and the staff were extremely friendly, although we didn't eat there the food looked very nice. There's also a bowling green which was a very quirky touch.
The river is less than a five minute walk away which was great for our dogs to have a paddle in to cool down and there was also people fishing there.
All in all I would highly recommend this site if you a fancy a nice quiet get away. Although there was children on the site there wasn't much for them to do so personally I think it's more suited to an adult only break.

Maustins Park is a very well presented camp site. The lawns and hedges seemed picture perfect and the area, very peaceful.
The facilities were also well kept but may have been in slight need of some minor modernisation.
The bar/ restaurant was nice, reasonably priced drinks and pub grub.
Staff were all really nice and friendly.
Talking to some fellow holiday makers, the majority of them seemed to have been going there for years.
