Just back from 5 day stay at the park, with guaranteed peace and quite apart from a storm or two. But when the sun came out it was fantastic. On an evening we'd be sat watching a Red Kite patrolling the sky near our tent, while having our meal.
This visit was the start of our many after going back every year for the last 4 or 5years.
If you want a holiday of no kids screaming dogs barking and people partying into the early hours, this is the place.
We come here to relax and recharge ready from the normal day to day work and family responsibilities.

Stayed at this campsite for 2 nights wish it could have been longer.
Toilet and shower facilities are first class and food is lovely from restaurant, its so very peaceful and relaxing, lovely walks two pubs within 15 minute walking distance and its also within easy reach of knaresborough, harrogate and other lovely towns.
Will definitely go again first time round that area but it wont be the last. A most enjoyable weekend

What a delightful site this is, I really don't want everyone to know but feel this site deserves recognition for its excellent setting, staff and mostly for the relaxed nature of this site. We have been twice this month.
If you want a children free site then this is the one. The staff are friendly and helpful, when you book they give you your pitch number so you can get set up as soon as you arrive, there is no waiting about to pay they are very relaxed about this.
The toilets are very nice and clean and the restaurant on site is well worth a visit although you will need to book, the food is out of this world.
The site is in a valley surrounded by trees and the red kites that visit daily from harewood are an extra treat. I would recommend a visit to this site to anyone who wants a relaxing break.

Just returned from an over night stop at this site. Have to, say both my husband and I agree it is the best site we've stopped at yet.
We knew our pitch number before arrival as this was confirmed in a letter received the day after booking, so we could just position our motorhome immediately on arrival.
The site is immaculate, toilet and showers very clean. Complimentary toiletries in bathrooms.
The staff were always buzzing about and only too happy to help and advise.
The site has a lovely restaurant and bar with vey polite staff. This attitude seemed to run straight through the site as all the campers were very sociable too.
Even the local residents in the area stopped to say 'Hi' with a smile as we were out walking our dog.
The only improvement I could suggest is to have TV ariel points at each hookup point as some sites now have.

Lovely flat pitch with electric hook up. The facilities were fantastic with the nice touches of shower gels, razors bath mat in the shower. They were always clean and tidy and always plenty of hot water.
There is a nice walk (1-1/2 miles)to the village of Kirby Overblow which has two pubs which serve food and are open all day. But do take care on the road there is no footpath and it is narrow.
The Stables restaurant was nice to sit outside on a lovely warm evening with a drink and chat to other campers. There were 'bowls' matches taking place on the Saturday and Sunday morning which was nice to watch. You can hire Bowls if you fancy a game yourself.
All in all a very peaceful break and would certainly return to the site again.

We have just returned from a breakaway at this site and found the wardens to be welcoming and helpful. The facilities and environment was clean and well thought out. A credit, however for us it did not feel secure, there is a restaurant whose access for patrons appears to be difficult to define and the pitches were used as a car park on saturday. Privacy was an issue for us at this time and we felt like we were on show. There was no barrier to prevent the cars from entering the site. We know that work has to be done to maintain the standard they have, but when you are going away for a relaxing break the sound of jcb at 8am is not conducive to this. Informing us before we arrived so that we could make an informed decision whether we came would have been appreciated,

If you want peace and quiet, no kids, no dogs running free, come here. Its heaven, Myself and my husband found this site 4 years ago and we just keep going back. It's clean and very well kept. The down sides are the ground can get a bit boggy if it rains a lot and there's no shop. But who cares, you pull up there's loads of space between units and while realizing you get to watch bunnys running round playing.

Excellent site, quiet and peaceful, as other reviewers have said. Well located for visiting Harrogate, Wetherby, Knaresborough etc. Though not really walking distance to any of the nearby villages. But the jewel in the crown is the Stables restaurant which, even given the positive reviews already, exceeded our expectations. It's not cheap, but for the quality of what we ate here, was excellent value and a very pleasant evening. The number of locals eating there seems testament to its popularity.
Very good site, highly recommended. We'll visit again when in the area.

Very friendly, welcoming and more than helpful. Facilities were fantastic, new showers, toilets and wash area-always clean. Pitch was level and well drained.
The restaurant which is on site is excellent, has an area you can sit and watch tv and have a drink.
Very quiet and peaceful site would return and highly recommend.
Good location for surrounding towns and cities.
