Stayed at this campsite last week. So picturesque with all the fab maintained greenery and immaculately looked after. Fortunate for my husband and I we could pick our pitch for our tourer as it was a little quiet (not for long though) and we chose a great spot opposite to the static caravans exit/entrance, which meant we were only yards from amenities. The showers (only two) and toilets were absolutely immaculate at all times and the showers were fab. Lovely hot water for as long as you needed (unlike some) and free of course. The bar/restaurant on site was great as entertainment was on the Saturday. Unfortunately we didn't eat in the bar as we had taken a lot of perishable food but when we did go along to the bar for a drink and saw the 'burgers' it was a 'wow', I know I couldn't have eaten it all. But next time I'm sure that I will have a go. Everyone was so friendly especially the people from the static caravans and we met some lovely couples from the tourers who we are keeping in touch with and will be joining them at this site in the near future. My husbands favourite was the bowls green. If you are interested in this hobby then they have competitions on a Saturday and Sunday. My husband used to play a long time ago but it seems he has got back into it after our visit here. If you haven't your own woods etc the owners are more than happy to help you with some; (ladies too) to have a go.
Will certainly be returning to this site. I would just like to add that if your interested in birds of prey the 'red kites' from the nearby stately home (Harewood house) can be seen flying over the site at all times of the day. Just what we wanted for our break and more. Perfect. Thank you for our lovely visit and your kind hospitality. See you again.

Our initial contact with the site owners was by phone as the website wasn't clear whether children were allowed and reviews indicated an adult only site. I spoke to a very friendly and helpful man and thus quickly booked in-us in a caravan, friends in a tent along side us - both with electric.
The signage to the site could do with being a little clearer to first time visitors as we turned into the wrong entrance and had to navigate a narrow gap (don't turn in to the pub - keep going!) - once you know where you are going it's very easy to find.
An immaculately kept site with a new shower block. Cleaned daily and always open. I do agree with an earlier review about the shower mats though - not everyone hung it to dry after use so it could do with replacing daily. There are 2 showers in each of the ladies and mens. I did wonder that as it was the bank holiday weekend this wouldn't be enough but needn't have worried - the flow of people using them was staggered and we never had to wait more than 5 minutes. Plenty of hot water. Free hairdryers in the ladies were a welcome touch.
Recycling facilities are on site - easy to access
Water points and waste all within easy reach and kept clean.
Free wifi on site - a little slow but it kept the children occupied on their devices once we'd returned from one of many walks accessible from this site.
The pitches would be a little on the narrow side if everyone had awnings and large tents but as there was a mixture when we were there it is a matter of siting where best appropriate for your unit. We were given a free choice of where we wanted to pitch and as there were two of us we set up quite close to each other anyway - the pitches run around the outside of the field so we weren't overlooked by anyone or felt crammed in.
By 10pm the site is quiet and apart from the odd few tiptoeing from the camp pub you are not disturbed until the pigeons awake!
There isn't anything for the younger children to keep themselves occupied on site (ours are older) but there appears to be plenty of room away from the units to play ball games - just avoid the grumpy adult only people :)
All in all a great quiet site that is well kept, ideal for relaxing and doing nothing, watching the local bowling team, walking in the countryside (geocaching if you fancy) or using as a base to travel to York, Wetherby or surrounding areas.

Fabulous! This site went to the top of our list. We even booked an extra unplanned night!. Beautiful, unspoilt location. The site is relaxed and free of the usual, unnecessary do's & don't's making for a special experience. The on site catering is superb! All-in-all a perfect pitch for families and couples alike, a refreshing change to be able to watch kids (big and little) having good old fashioned camping fun on the main field. Loved it and we will certainly be back very soon!

Very nice stay. Beautiful, peaceful location near the River Wharf, perfect for walking. The staff and permanent holiday home owners were all very friendly. Dog friendly. Free hot showers in proper cubicles, toilet block clean and tidy. Stables bar very nice, welcoming and cosy. The food was excellent - one of the best cooked breakfasts we've had! We came to watch the Harewood Hill climb and that would have been a good name for the cottage pie we had on Saturday night! Lovely fish and chips on Friday night. Tiger Lily loved the sausages! We will definitely return.

Recently stayed here for a week. Lovely quiet site, out in the country but only a few miles out of Wetherby, with all its shops and amenities. Now managed by a new family, the site was immaculate and very well maintained. Nice clean shower/toilet block – was nice to have showers not on a timer and with adjustable temperature – lots of lovely hot water.
Nice sized hardstanding pitch with grass to side allowed plenty of room for caravan, awning, dogs and us.
Office manned all day and staff very helpful. Free Wi-Fi available and worked well in the van. Site also now allows children after change in ownership.
On site restaurant / pub was really good – only open Fri / Sat / Sun but probably just as well for the waistline! Friendly welcome and nice wine made for a few pleasant evenings. Food was excellent – especially the Sunday lunch – not to be missed. Also had a full cooked breakfast on Saturday morning – set us up for the day.
Lovely walks in the area – River Wharfe only minutes from the site.
Selection of static holiday homes on the site also – residents very welcoming to us tourers.
Had to leave a good review as so pleased with site – though also loathed to share this gem with others!

This was my 4th visit to this site, the 1st now it is under new ownership and I have say I was disappointed. The site is no longer adults only, we used this site in the past due to it being adults only as I like the peacefulness of adult only sites. On Saturday afternoon ball games were being played close to caravans and tents, if they want to make this a family site they need to provide a play area away from the pitches.
The little things that made this site special in the past have gone, the razors and little tubes of shower gel are no longer provided. The bath rugs in the showers were changed at least once a day under the old owners, the rugs which were in the showers on Friday were still being used on Monday and were wet through. There was white roll dispenser to use to wipe the sinks down to leave clean for the next user, my wife says the dispenser was empty from Friday and did not get refilled until Monday morning and the rugs in the womens showers were not changed.
The biggest disappointment however was the restaurant which on my last visits was 5 star and provide really special food this being the main reason we returned to this site after discovering it. We booked a table Saturday evening and was totally shocked when given the menu, it was just like any pub menu but with less choices. We ordered 8oz steaks, my wife had about 2 to 3oz of meat as the rest was fat and grissle. It was served with chips, fried onion rings just oozing fat, fried mushrooms and half of grilled tomato covered in oil, served with peppercorn sauce which was in my opinion out of a packet. With the amount of fat it was like a meal you would expect in a transport café, it seems the new cook likes to fry rather than be creative as the last (I will not say cook) Chef. And just to finish the evening when I received my bill I had the next tables desserts added to it !
The site is in a beautiful location and the pitches are well kept, but it as lost the special touches that the past owners provided, and a really special dining experience as been lost.

Nice site. Seems to be getting better with the new owners. Most people have returned year after year due to it being Adults Only but from talking to other caravanners/campers and static owners the change that allows kids is definitely not that welcome and the general feeling is regulars will stop going. There is no ball game rule on site with very little for kids to do anyway. The stables has stopped doing the overpriced expensive food and is now serving fair priced meals also excellent breakfast is served on Saturdays. The bar prices have also been reduced.

We visited friends who were staying at Maustin Park. The campsite was very well kept with friendly and helpful staff.
We also enjoyed a fabulous Sunday lunch at the Stables Restaurant which is situated on the campsite. The food was excellent, (amazing value)beautifully cooked and well presented. We found it a very warm and friendly place.
We thoroughly enjoyed it, and will definitely be returning with family and friends.

We have just returned from a wet week in Yorkshire staying on this site. Would we go back?!
Positives -
The site is well kept
The managers are pleasant
The facilities are of a good quality
There are floor mats in the showers and shower gel(Bic razors in the Mens)
There is a good information shed
People are very complimentary about the Take Away fish and chips (we didn't fit them in!)
Negatives -
The pitches are very close together - for most of the week there were very few units on the site and there was no-one directly next to us. If the site is full, it would be very cramped.
The facilities would be stretched if all 25 pitches were occupied.
A number of the pitches on the grass area are over hung by very tall trees. In a tent this can drive you mad. Also the trees we were under shed leaves which have stained our tent.
Whilst we were there the was no sign of the managers for 2 days. During this time a unit came and pitched next to us - their guys were not a metre from ours and their tent was less then 4 metres from us. Also another unit arrived and set up inbetween 2 pitches! Neither of these things would have happened if the managers were there.
Would we go back? Possibly if it was going to be quiet and also, if we could get a pitch not over hung by trees.
