This is the 3rd time we have visited this site and I must say we have been very disappointed. Booked in advanced and was told the wrong price and informed we should pay an extra £26 their mistake.
Also asked for a particular pitch near the dog area and was given a pitch further away also the road down to the toilet block was blocked as it was being re surfaced for 7 days out of the 10 day stay. Other people have voiced the same complaint.
We will not be visiting this site again.

Nice site. Staff can be a little offish to the children. The pool should be lifeguard attended during peak periods.
Excellent electricity voltage available and clean toilet/shower facilities.
Overall not a bad holiday, could've been better had there been a better attitude towards the children.

Fabulous place especially for those with kids, safe and welcoming. Club house is good, pools are good.
Great coastal walks and the town is a few minutes walk. There are lots of places nearby that you can drive to or walk. Definitely going back

We stayed here for a long weekend. We booked for 3 nights and on arrival were pleasantly surprised to be told that the 3rd night was free. Very friendly staff on arrival, although we were disappointed to be told that the club house was unable to serve any food.
The location of the site is conveniently close to many cafes, restaurants and bars, therefore eating out was not a problem. The layout of the site is very good, as unlike some sites there is plenty of open space and they haven't tried to squeeze in as many units as possible.
The site backs onto the beach, although there was no sea view because of a large embankment which I presume offers some protection from the wind coming from the sea. The shower/ toilet blocks are very clean and the individual shower cubicles are very spacious.
In one block there are only 2 showers but they were never occupied when I went for a shower; they are closed for a short time for cleaning and the times are documented on the notice board. We did not go into the bar or pool so cannot comment.
The site and facilities are clean and tidy and the location is good for coastal walking and shops, bars etc. There is a nice little harbour to sit and 'people watch' with an ice cream. Be aware that you must vacate your pitch by 11. 00am, we were politely reminded at 11. 15am, as we had just returned from a month in France where this rule is always ignored and most people leave when they feel like it, we have become a little too laid back! Will return.

We tried an inpromptu query as we were passing to see if there was any available pitches, everywhere was chocca as it was school hols. The campsite was full, however, john (the owner) managed to fit us in on a slightly sloping area which actually was perfect, we had a great view down the camp site to the sea and the slight slope did not bother us in the slightest. John was unbelievably helpful and a really nice chap. He showed us to our pitch and let us get on with enjoying our stay and what a stay. On exploring we saw that there were three immaculate outside pools with loungers for all ages. A well priced restaurant and evening entertainment in the club house every evening. The site was kept immaculate and the staff and john would do a little patrol around a couple of times a day just to keep his eye in things, this was never intrusive and it made me feel very secure.
The shower blocks and toilets I couldn't fault either for the facilities and cleanliness and believe you me, I'm really funny about these things, I cant have bare feet on a dirty shower floor.
There were plenty of families with children ranging from babies up to teens and they all appeared to be enjoying the fab weather and freedom in a safe environment.
We enjoyed it so much that we have invested in a bigger tent for when we return again, as up until our stay at Aeron Coast, camping was something we had only done twice before and overnight on a sat-sun.
The area is fantastic and we really enjoyed the boat trip at New Quay (10 miles away) for dolphin spotting.
I cant wait to get back again and this time I will definitely be bringing my grandson after seeing what a fab time the kids were having on all areas of the site.
Thanks again John for fitting us in, we loved it. 10/10 all round.
Liz

Stayed here during the whitsun holiday, and had a wonderful stay. The first thing we noticed is how clean the whole campsite is. The shower and toilet block were very well maintained and was cleaned 3 times a day. We took a dog camping with us and there is a small enclosure where she could go and do her doggy business which we knicknamed the 'doggy bog'. There was entertainment on in the evening every night in the clubhouse. The only down side there wasn't enough for older children, we took two 14 year olds, maybe 1 or 2 of the nights if would have been nice if some of the entertainment was suitable for the teenagers, however saying that they did enjoy the bingo and going for walks. There is a lovely walk to the town along the harbour. The town itself is beautiful and the honey ice cream is a must! There is a small river walk in town which is really peaceful and goes a wooded area. On our last night we did have a problem with electric but it wasn't a major issue and was sorted promptly. The swimming pools are very clean and well maintained and popular with the whole family, if you have younger children there is a pirate ship and a sand pit. We will definitely be returning there again.

Lots of amenities, swimming pools, club and close to the beach
The toilet block was dirty and with a little cleaning on a regular basis would make a huge difference to the rating of this site. On our last night we ended up showering in the van, such a shame as the rest of the site is good.

Not usually our sort of site, very big and mainly statics. We wanted to visit the town and were very pleasantly surprised at how impressive the site was.
There are 20 hard standing pitches at the bottom of the site, right behind the beach / promenade. It isn't overlooked from the path as there is a deep area of bushes between. All pitches had ehu, water and bins opposite the pitches.
The loos / showers were very clean and looked recently re-furbished. Even though the hard standings all in use the facilities were never busy.
There is wifi at the club house, we could reach it with a MHWifi from our pitch. Staff were very helpful and friendly, we came across a warden by chance as reception was closed but they leave a list of vacant pitches in the reception window.
There is a gate at the end of the pitches which takes you up onto the promenade, from there its about 5-10 minutes walk into the centre.
There are lads of cafes and restaurants and some good independent shops. The houses are all rendered and painted in bright colours - akin to Tobermory.
We paid £17 for 2 adults with ehu. There is an offer if you stay Friday and Saturday you get Sunday free. The reception was still closed when we left Sunday, so we left the money in an envelope through the door, sure they keep longer hours as the season gets busier but reception seems to have limited hours at the moment.
Would not hesitate to recommend the site and town - both really worth a visit.

Just returned from a 5night stay at this site. Lovely clean site, toilet block spotless with 3large cubicles in one block, and 2 in other with a divided area to change but think you would have to queue at a busy time and could do with more really. Pitch was a good size, but ours was backing onto the coastal path which had a fence with barbed wire on top and overgrown brambles. Also there was no one to take us to the pitch upon arrival, which wasn't a problem but people a few pitches up were made to take they're awning down because they were facing the wrong way!Plenty of bins but no re-cycling at all which is a surprise in this day and age. On site restaurant was nice and reasonably priced. Clubhouse was lovely, entertainment good but the bingo was a bit long 9-10. 30pm!Service was excellent in both and everybody was very friendly. Excellent location for Aberaeron centre which is just a short walk, also there is a bus stop at the site entrance. Will definitely return, but a few small points let it down or am I just a fussy camper!
