Aeron Coast is a great site in a great location which we absolutely loved, so much so we stayed longer than planned.
The facilities were good and cleaned very regular and the grounds were well presented. All the pitches are on grass but well drained. We didn’t use the on site pub but did frequent many in the town! The Victoria Hotel is now a Curry House and has to be one of the best curries I have had for ages, well recommended!
The site sits on the coastal path so you can walk in either direction for miles. We walked to New Quay one day, which was about 6 miles one way, and got the bus back. There are also cycling opportunities nearby but we saved them until our next visit.
Top tip, when checking in tell them you’re a member of the Caravan & Camping Club as you get £2 off per night….
Enjoy.

Just come back from spending 11 nights at this campsite.
Must admit this is one of my favourite touring parks plus it’s just been awarded the 5 star awards.
The site was pretty much full – but this made no difference at all.
Toilets blocks were very clean and kept tidy – a rota in place for cleaning. Showers did go a little cold on the odd occasion but nothing to worry about.
Plenty of areas for the children to play, sand pit with wooden pirates ship, children’s basket ball/football pitch, over 12’s Tennis court.
Inside play area for under 5’s, air hockey and two others rooms with Pool tables, table tennis and various other games.
Large Family function room – that was very nice. Prices that you would normally expect to pay.
Onsite club house serves bar snacks and Sunday lunch (must book).
3 Swimming Pools – but being re tiled whislt we were there, however these are a good size. They have a small dog walking area – but this is small. However plenty of walks around the site.
Pitch was of a good size, they are quite strict on how you park your van etc – but this is sometimes a bonus! You have your space your neighbours has theirs!
The general running of the site is excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. They have a few rules but these are good rules and make the park an enjoyable place for all.
You have a small garage at the entrance of the site – selling the majority of everyday things, bread, milk, daily papers etc etc. At the other of the site you have a walkway (steps) to the sea front.
Fabulous walk across the sea from to the harbour and shops within the village, a few nice shops – chemists, fishing/sports shop, butchers, newsagent, fish shops (eat in & takeaway). Indian takeaway (very nice) kebab shops various coffee shops. Also I very nice walk up the river leading into Aberaeron harbour, on this walk you will find playing fields and children’s play parks. There is also a play park for children and a playing field within the village itself.
Overall a really nice place!

Just come back from a week end at Aeron Coast,
Very clean well kept site with easy access to Abereaeron town. Friendly staff and very helpful.
The town has some little shops which are worth a browse,Plenty of public houses serving fine food and drink,Definitely return to stay here again. Also the chippy by the harbour has lovely fish and chips very reasonably priced. Great week end

Fantastic sight we went with 3 other families for a week. Easy to find, clean immaculate facilities,
Pools not over crowded and very clean, kids entertainment supurb and restaurant very well priced with good home made food.
Good size pitch for the tent, plenty of room.
Didn't use the car much all week as you can walk into the town via the beachfront or a 5 min walk on the main rode.
Just enough in town to tide you over for a week, but I couldn't recommend this sight enough it was great according to all age groups in the family.

First impressions really don't count on this site. We didn't like the look of it on first view. Receptionist was friendly and welcoming. The Pitches are laid out in an L shape around the statics which are more in the middle of the camp. Pitch sizes are generous.
Toilet blocks are clean. There are 2 blocks. One with 2 showers and the other with 3. Plenty of toilets. We were near the shower block with 3 and I used a large shower with a bench seat and hooks and a large space for changing. As I shower with my daughter there was plenty of room. Showers were lovely and warm :)
The 3 swimming pools are smaller than I imagined but one is heated. Plenty of seating around for parents to watch. There is no lifeguard on duty and you have to be over 15 years old to go alone. The pool is open from 11am to 7pm.
The children are well catered for with the play area's. The sandpit was popular as was the football/basketball pitch. Though I couldn't work out why it was only open from 10am - 8pm as then the children would play ball games around the site. Parents didn't seem to mind them doing that near their pitches though. As I saw parents playing cricket with their kids near pitches too so assume no-one seems to mind. Personally I'd prefer ball games to be played in allocated area's that were always open.
We didn't use the club room but there is a games room and diner, prices a bit high for us, as well as evening entertainment.
There is no dog walk on site but there is a hankercheif size dog toilet area! There is only one gate out of the site to the beach which can mean a long walk to get there to exercise your dogs. Not everyone cleans up their dog poo so be prepared when walking around the site! We managed to step in some and noticed a few uncleared messes!
At the entrance to the site is a garage which sells essentials.
Our car broke down once on site and was taken to 2 garages for repairs which meant we were without a car for the whole week. Luckily the town is right next door to the site so only a short walk. There is a large costcutter in town for shopping which kept us going all week.
The Big Bite chip shop is thouroughly recommended by us. As is Mario's ice-cream sold in the pub on the corner down from the famous £1.20 shop which is opposite the costcutter. There are a few other shops selling gifts and crabbing materials.
We caught hundreds of crabs and the kids had great fun doing so. The beach is not sandy.
All our neighbours were really chatty and friendly so a very favourable impression of the Welsh was reached by us.

Our review is based upon our party being made up of Mum, Dad, our two lads aged 9 & 7 and our dog.
We arrived during early June and check-in was easy and simple and in no time a manager / warden was found to show us to our pitch.
We were most likely one of their first bookings for the year having been booked during the winter and we were allocated the nearest pitch to the shower block but as it turned out, the area of grass to all 4 sides of our van and awning were to become worst than a main road.
Without knowing it, we had booked a week at the nearest site to The National Eisteddfod of Wales event and we arrived to a field where every spare inch of space was being occupied.
I cannot blame the owners at all for trying to make as much as possible on this once or twice in a lifetime event for the park, and while no units were too close together, it did lead to major problems when wishing to move the towcar on and off the site.
The shower block was usually warm but the hot water did run cold one night, all night, during our stay. For some reason, there is no soap dispensers to be found in the gents toilets.
The Clubrooms are very nice and very laid back with good family entertainment. The prices of all drinks and snacks are of good standard and very good price. No need to walk of site for either a decent price or pint.
The on site sand-pit and playground are a bonus as it keep a lot of kids amused while dinners and teas were sorted.
The site has 3 outside, non-covered, heated swimming pools but the third pool is only heated during the peak season, which June is not considered to be even if the touring field was bursting during the week.
A costcutter is nearby next to the harbour and offers a fair price and both the butchers and bakery are both great for quailty.
My only complaint is the 'Dog Toilet'. They refer to this area as a dog toilet on any maps and it really is just that. A 12 foot by 30 foot at most area of grass with grass mounds to all four sides and a gate.
The beach has easy and direct access but they are steep steps with a gate so not great for everyone.
While here, we visited New Quay (recommended), Llangollen Silver Lead mine (again recommend and very good value).
There was noise on our first night to the early hours, but this was quiet by 0100hrs and considering the amount packed into the field, we expected someone to forget others peace.
Will we be going back? Most likely we will be but it is a shame about the dog walk / Toilet.

Just got back from a few days in a tent at this holiday park and we loved it!
The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The site has a lot of static vans and when we booked I was told the pitch was on a slight incline. After reading other reviews I was worried we would be clinging onto a cliff face, but it really isn't that bad, it is exactly what they say an incline.
The toilet block was clean and showers were hot and on our 3 night stay we never had to wait for the showers and the site was busy. The pitches have electric hook up and there is plenty of space between tents, so you don't feel over looked.
The club house on site was ok, children's room with lots of activities for kids, but our son is 15 so didn't really use them. Saying that there were a lot of children running around who all seemed very happy.
The area around this site is lovely not forgetting to try Honey Ice cream in Aberearon!
All in all our family loved this site and will be going back asap!

Just got back from a wonderful holiday at Aeron Coast Caravan Park. Stayed for 1 week and totally enjoyed it. This is the best caravan park we have stayed at by far.
Lots of facilities including 3 swimming pools a restaurant and a club. The kids also enjoyed the play room and the park. The site is beautifully clean and the toilet and shower blocks are immaculate. The site has 24 hour security, with security guards walking round the site all night.
The kids entertainment in the club runs from half seven to nine, which includes a kids entertainer and disco. Afterwards we all enjoyed bingo. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant which was reasonably priced.
The only small downside to our holiday was that the beach was partly closed due to flood defence work. We did however get round this by walking further along the coast. Aberaeron is also a lovely little town, which is ten minutes away from the park. There are plenty of shops and mini supermarkets to keep you going, including a lovely cake shop! I would definitely recommend this sight and will be returning myself next year. Happy holidays!

The seafront is undergoing major flood work this year. The beach is inaccessible. The site has a leaflet pointing this out when you book, the work hours are stated to be roughly 0800 until 1900hrs. We found that this was incorrect since the firm as governed by the tides and those huge volvo quarry trucks dumped boulders any time after 6am.
The site itself has lost about 30 pitches making the ones left subject of heavy usage.
The main field is very noisy, grit blastng was taking place and paintspray has found itself airborne and has caused some consternation.
The pool wasn't in action when we went, the bar was a lonely place outside of the weekend and closed on tuesdays, neither does it offer meals except the weekend.
The site itself is well kept and gearing up for the summer, te outdoor squash wall was newly tarmacked.
Showers spotless.
Also because of the coastal flood defence works they killed the electricity five days in a row when we were there for considerable periods including a cut halfway through a football match on tv!
Lots of Dunkirk spirit needed here this year.
Easy to walk to town but looks like the set of Auf Weidersehn pet this year.

We returned for our third visit of the year, the weather was poor. This is when we noticed that the showers may be heated although the temperature is nothing to trumpet and cannot be altered by the user, there is no form of heating in the block, since the door is permanently open you may not want to linger too long.
Gale force winds saw us remove the awning but pools of water semi marooned us and the ground cut up badly.
Facilities are clean but since there were only five of us on site it wasn't carried out religiously.
Since there were only five on site you'd have thought that me old dog could lie in the autumnal sun without being on a lead but not a bit of it. Since the restaurant was shut due to lack of demand, although we'd have eaten there given the chance perhaps groundskeeper willy could have been more gainfully employed.
Bar staff are exceptional nothing too much trouble for Phil and his wife.
There is obviously living accommodation above the pub given the amount of drilling and banging that went on something for when the bar is closed me thinks??
Overall a good winter break but with an air of a ghost ship out of the main season.
