We chose this site after reading reviews from this site. Easy to book, deposit sent off, letter received confirming booking. All really easy. Due to appalling weather this summer I rang 2 days prior to holiday to confirm all ok. Lovely friendly chat with reception who assured me, pitches were fine etc.
Arrived and booked in, again really simple and staff extremely friendly and helpful. We were guided to our pitch and set up. All pitches have electric hookup. We liked the fact that pitches are allocated so no risk of 'losing' it if you go off for the day and all vans have to be lined up the same way so you have your own semi private pitch as your back is to the next pitch.
Site very clean and well looked after. Fantastic availability of Giant sand pit with wooden play pirate ship. Mini Football / basketball court, 1/2 sized tennis court and full sized court and Out door pool which kids loved; All free.
Less than a minute walk to beach access from site which dogs are welcome on and a lovely 5 min stroll along beach to harbour and town centre. Which had good range of shops and not too 'touristy'.
Excellent family room for evening entertainment and bar prices were very reasonable son and Hubby watched the football in the bar next door.
Also available are several games rooms offering, pool tables, table football, air hockey and a climbing frame and trampoline for under 5's. All the games were 50p so again very reasonable prices. Although my 6 year old beat me at air hockey.
The toilet blocks are modern and clean with free showers which was a nice change, but they did have the press taps which are a pain and if some one used the toilet or basin the shower water pressure dropped and became cold. There is a laundry area, but at £3 a wash I didn't use it as we were only there for a week, but would have done I suppose if I had too.
Really pleased with the site, excellent for families and will be going back next summer.

Been few times to this site, always had good time with good clean facilities, lots for kids, nice bar / club. Very disappointed this Easter, we were told they were going to do lots of improvements including drainage on main field, nothing done.
No club or meals due to staff illness / shortage, main field water logged but we were still put there, we were trudging through mud all week and only 2 units on there. We were still charged full price even though lack of amenities, which we found very disappointing, gave up and came back a day early.

Rolled up booked in at friendly reception, set up the caravan, went straight to the beach ignoring the awning since it was bakingly hot.
Very few other units around grass well mown.
Dog toilet adequate and not to be confused with a dog walk but dogs are allowed on the beach.
Bar prices are very reasonable the music is very dated and geared for most of the other patrons which were 20yrs older than us.
We watched the FA cup in the function bar which is outstanding, new and clean.
The pools dont open unitl late May so the weather was wasted!
We had previously camped here so knew what to expect you can walk to all the shops and pubs nice friendly place with good facilities for the kids including a large pirate ship wooden structure come sandpit.
Day 3 rain coming in the caravan staff lending tools ladders cant fault it.
Very reasonably priced quiet off peak becoming noiser the more people are on site natually.
Already booked to go back later in july.
Toilet block modern and clean shower temperature pre set so v hot on hot days and nice on colder days they have the press taps which are a pain, the pressure in the sinks will descale your tooth brush
Quite simply our favourite site now if the bar sold Guinness too.

I used to stay here with my parents when I was a kid. The last time I was here was over 20 years ago! My wife bought a new tent and the kids couldn't wait to go camping (they'd never been before) so we were looking for somewhere to go for the weekend. I remembered this place, phoned them up and booked a pitch.
When we got there we checked in at the site office and payed (£16 for 1 night) then went to our pitch and put up the tent.
The kids loved the large grass area for playing and also the kids play area. In the evening we went to the clubhouse for a drink and we were very supprised at how cheap the food and drink was! My youngest enjoyed the indoor under 5s play area while my eldest enjoyed playing pool.
The next morning I went to the shower block and had a nice hot shower then packed up the tent by 11am as required. We then just parked up on site and went to the pools - there's 3 of them but only 2 were open, a small paddling pool for the young ones and a larger pool.
All in all a very enjoyable weekend. And we're going back next weekend when they'll have a kids disco and entertainment (every other week outside of school holidays).
I haven't been to many campsites but would definitely recommend this one. The facilites are great and very very clean (they are inspected regularly throughout the day). Also very close to the sea (although with a pebble beach and lots of crabs) and to the small town which has the usual shops, takeaways, pubs etc plus the second best ice cream in the world (after Joe's from Swansea) which is made with honey.

Access to the site is through a garage forecourt. Level large pitches sheltered from the sea winds by a bund.
Direct access from site onto coastal path to harbour and pebble beach.
Swimming pools and club on site but no shop (but the above mentioned garage is at the entrance to the site).
Very friendly and helpful owners.

What a great site!
When you arrive it all seems a bit off-putting, driving through rows of privately owned statics before you arrive at the touring pitches. First impressions can be wrong!
The touring pitches are immediately behind a dike separating the site from the stony beach. The dike doubles as a footpath and (more usefully) a windbreak!
The reception when we booked in was warm and very, very helpful. We decided to change our pitch after setting up, to be nearer to the gate onto the beach. This was no problem and our friendly receptionist appeared a few hours later to make sure we were happy.
The two amenity blocks were kept spotlessly clean (in fact they were cleaned several times every day) and were never overloaded. There are also swimming pools and a clubhouse (which we didn't use). The site doesn't need a shop - there's a whole town just outside the perimeter to meet your every need :o)
What quickly became obvious was that everybody on this site is incredibly friendly - including all the static caravan owners. Such a contrast with the cold-shoulders we experienced at Cei Bach! Every day was punctuated with polite greetings and warm conversations.
What makes this site perfect is the location - right on the edge of Aberaeron and a few minutes walk from the pretty little harbour. Drinking cool ale, sat on the harbour wall, or eating superb fish and chips while watching the sun set on the boats bobbing in the harbour . Where even the gulls are benign and friendly . Is bliss!
A lovely site in a perfect little town. We will be back!

We liked this site as it's so close to the pretty little town where there is a good variety of shops. The site is very well kept with spotless toilet/shower facilities. We used the bar on 2 evenings as the weather was very bad when we were there (we usually prefer to visit locals) and they don't overprice the drinks. We'll be going back again.

Very tidy and well kept site. Nice bar. Toilet and shower blocks remarkable but only two showers in blocks which would cause a queue in peak season. Lovely location, worth a walk around harbour. Beach is pebble but a sandy beach is just along the road at Newquay. Definitely returning.

Excellent surrounding area marina, beach, and more if you are willing to drive a little. As we were late arriving we were given a poor pitch at the top of the field with quite a slope ( I constantly fell off the bed at night). Toilets and dish washing facilities were clean and well kept but a very long distance from our pitch which made it difficult for families like our selves with small children.
As mentioned before there are tennis court and other facilities but they must be booked before you use them as mentioned by the staff. We enjoyed the entertainment in the family room - mainly aimed at the younger generation, but there was a bar for adults next door.
No shops on the site, although there is a garage just out side the entrance, about 15 minutes walk. If we were to use this place again, I would get there early enough to get a pitch nearer the toilets and other amenities

Been visiting here for the past few years. Started in a caravan then got ourselves a lovely static on a good sized pitch. Why? The site was clean, plenty to do and quiet off season. Facilities, including disabled, are excellent. Everyone was helpful. The site is big enough to provide a lot for families yet small enough to care. It is close to many places: beaches, towns, heritage and touristy places. Kites, kestrels, cormorants and lots more wildlife abound, You don't need commercial facilities as out of the front gate you are on the edge of the town and can easily walk along a pavement with takeaways, shops, newsagent, garage etc. At your disposal. No need to take food with you as it is all there till late without being in the park itself. You can even buy second- hand books, clothes and recycle your rubbish. Older children can easily walk in alone. And you can listen to the sea at night!
