There are many rules on this awkward and muddy touring field. We parked in our pitch with the van over the mud patch so that the awning could go on a drier part with grass on. The following day we were asked by the officious manager? to turn the van round because we were 'facing the wrong way round'. We pointed out that if we did we would be paddling about in mud, and the campsite wasn't anything like full, so what did it matter. Never the less we were made to move pitch (bear in mind what a pain this is after you have already set up) and set up again. This annoyed us greatly and coupled with the dirty toilet facilities, which were purported to be cleaned - there was (in the ladies at least) loo paper on the floor in the same cubicle, no soap in the dispenser for four days, underneath of loo seats were urine stained and I had to shower in flip-flops as the floor was covered in hair. Sink plugs were secured with nylon cord which was black and mouldy and frankly, stomach churning. On the plus side the site is within walking distance of the town but don't bother, it too is shabby and dated. There are many lovely places and camp sites in Wales, this isn't one of them.

Had been meaning to stay here for years and now I'm only sorry I hadn't visited sooner. A lovely site and within 5 minutes walking distance to shops and harbour.
Plenty of places to eat in the town and many shops to browse.
The toilet/shower blocks were very clean and well maintained. Washing up facilities looked good but we didn't use.
Tennis courts and play areas were used but not noisy so it was a pleasure to be quite near them.
Evening entertainment was good but spent most of our time watching Olympics in the TV room.
Will certainly return.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at this site and wanted to confirm all that has been previously written. This is a great family site, well looked after and a great location for the town and surrounding area.
I agree the pitches are a little tight but as everyone is lined up the same way it does work. The site facilities are excellent and we will be returning.
My only gripe would be that the site needs to sort out its recycling facilities as there isn't any at the moment.

We have just returned from our first visit to Aeron Coast Caravan Park. We had a lovely couple of nights and will definitely return! The shower and toilet blocks were immaculate a real pleasure to use, well done for this I can honestly say they are the best I have yet experienced!
We stayed in our motorhome and used electric hook up on a good level pitch that backed onto a stone wall covered in pretty flowers.
Easy to stroll into town in five minutes also the coastal path is on your doorstep.
We will definitely return again and again

We stayed on this site in early May. The site is on the outskirts of Aberaeron town, with easy access alongside a petrol station/shop which is good for quick morning supplies like newspapers, bread, milk etc.
The site has about 200 static caravans - owner owned - and pitches for about 100 tourers and tents.
It has a club house, 2 outdoor swimming pools, tv room/table tennis/entertainment in season/outdoor tennis courts/children's play park etc
Although the site is alongside the sea there are only sea views from higher parts of the site like the entrance in and a higher sloping part. The sea is hidden from most of the site by a high bank. But at the far end are shallow steps (easy for wheelchairs and pushchairs) which lead up onto a walkway along the sea to the harbour and town.
Even though the site is large - it doesn't feel too big. And everywhere is kept very clean and tidy.
There are two shower blocks with a disabled room attached to one and a laundry attached to the other. Also a nice washing up room.
My only criticism would be that when we stayed in early May the water in the showers was lukewarm at best.
Also the pitches are a bit tight - cars have to be parked in front of the caravans.
A week in May cost us £109 inclusive of 16 amp EHU. There was a special midweek offer on at the time so we had 4 nights as part of that offer which brought the price down and made it excellent value for money.
The town of Aberaeron is lovely. Plenty of shops: Costcutter/Butchers/Bakery/gift shops/chemist etc
And there is delicious honey icecream from a shop on the harbour.
The inner and outer harbours are very pretty.
There is also a nice river walk from the town, with lots of ducks.
Normally we prefer smaller rural sites but we enjoyed our stay on this site and will certainly go back.
The site is very well kept with good facilities and it's big plus is that it is so close to the town and harbour - we enjoyed a whole week without moving the car out once!

Having used this site on numerous occasions over the last three years I think it's about time for a review. This is a very well looked after clean site with plenty to do very near to or in the site, we always specify a hard standing pitch which are situated at the far end of the site but very close to the access to the sea and a short walk from Aberaeron itself. The clubhouse is well appointed and the food and drink prices are very reasonable there is usually entertainment in the summer and the outdoor swimming pool is open. The toilet blocks have always been clean and well looked after and there are adequate facilities for chemical waste etc. Near to the pitches. Perhaps the only downside to the site is that it is mainly a static caravan site so the touring pitches are a short walk away from the club house, but we normally walk into Aberaeron itself anyway.
They also offer discount for Caravan Club Members, so all in all it's a great site!

Third visit to this site cant say a bad word toilets and showers are immaculate, clubhouse good fun and not too pricey.
Able to walk into the town with lovely shops and pubs to eat in the royal does a lovely Sunday lunch but you must book.
Pools are lovely and clean but not that warm.
Playpark for the kids tennis football and basket ball. Will be going back. Staff are lovely and friendly very helpful to us when we lockedthe keys in the car they got a mechanic out for us who got the keys out and didn't charge the earth.

Stunning, this is our third visit to the site, it is such a lovely place.
The camp-site is spotless, there are two large shower/toilet blocks which are cleaned throughout the day, there is a large sandpit with play area where my 2 children spent every waking hour! basketball / tennis and football courts and three outdoor heated pools (never very warm though!)
The site is very well maintained, friendly and safe. There is a clubhouse with entertainment through the holidays and also a bar and diner.
Only a very short walk from the camp site and your into the small town with a harbour, shops, pubs, takeaways etc.
Highly recommended.

Yet another cracking weekend, Heated pool was actually heated, shower & toilet block gets a bit crowded around the tent pitch area, however another shower block 150yds towards the static camp area always free on our visit.
Playground area is not in eyes veiw of the tent pitch area so adult required to keep eye on them. Club house well equipped, little ones to vacate by 9pm
Beach within walking distance and great for Kayaking and fishing, the reef is approx 300yds off the shore and great for bass fishing. Pitch area has plenty of room so don't understand why they say max 4m tent
Overall I would give this camp site 10 out of 10. We tried to book for August on departure but fully booked and no spaces. Will probably return for last camp of the year if available.

Just spent a great week at campsite with a group of people in a selection of caravan's tents and trailer tents.
The first thing we noticed is how clean the site is, and is cleaned constantly during the day by a great team of staff.
The children very much enjoyed the pool which again was kept very clean, not only that it was heated too.
The other children's facilities were great tennis courts, table tennis football area, all can be used at no extra cost.
Could not recommend this campsite enough a great place for couples family's or groups, I'm sure we will be visiting again soon.
