I have to disagree with the previous post, the site is quiet and there are not many static caravans in comparison to some sites. We visited Aeron coast over the May bank holiday and I cannot fault this site, it is run very well, and is very child friendly. The site is about 2 mins walking distance to a pebbley beach which is enough to keep the children entertained, if you want a sandy beach New quay is about 15 mins drive away. The site has a restaurant/bar which serves very good value for money food. There is also a family entertainment room with disco or live entertainment which is also very good but can get busy. There is also a sand pit, tennis court and football pitch on site and indoor play room for young children. Toilets and showers are very close to all pitches and are kept very clean and tidy. The beautiful town of Abrearon is 2 mins walk from the site with plenty of pubs etc. Forgot to add there is also a swimming pool.we didn't try it though as it is outside and the weather was not warm enough. All in all a very lovely site and we will be returning to this stunning part of wales and Aeron coast again.

This site is huge - the 100 pitches stated on UKCampsite.co.uk does not include the huge numbers of statics on site. This site is pretty hideous for those interested in a quiet, laid-back vibe. Very impersonal, with security patrols. Clubhouse, sports facilities and swimming pool all on-site - definitely not our bag but may be yours.
Having said all that, the shower block (s!) are really modern and there are laundry facilities on site. Also walking distance from pretty Aberaeron shops and eateries.
Wouldn't stay again though.

A great campsite situated right next to the sea. Excellent toilet and shower facilities which were cleaned regularly. There is no shop on site but there is a garage right next to the entrance selling essentials. Staff were very helpful and you are shown to your pitch by the warden. We stayed in a touring caravan and awning with our two children aged 5 and 7. Plenty of space in middle of field for riding bikes and playing games. Large sandpit and tennis courts, but no children's playground, which would have been nice for the children. Good sized swimming pool and smaller toddlers pool. There is a clubhouse with entertainment for all the family, which could get quite busy in the evenings but we always managed to find a seat. There is also a bar for over 18's and a separate games room. It is literally just a 2 minutes walk and you are in the beautiful little harbour town of Aberaron which has some lovely little bars and restaurants. Even though the site was fully booked during our visit it was not crowded. We had a great week and will be returning in 2007.

Fantastic! This was our first time camping with the family (3 young sons) so we were keen to choose the right campsite. This one was perfect! Very very clean (toilets and showers cleaned on a rota throughout the day) and plenty of facilities so very little or no queues. Great evening entertainment for adults and children, outdoor pool was lovely (if a teeny bit cold!), sand pit was made good use of - can't fault any of it. The boys especially loved being so close to the beach. We were a bit concerned the site could get noisy at nights because of the club house but we were worrying needlessly. The site was very peaceful at all time and security driving round at nights put our minds at rest too. The only 2 things we felt were lacking and would have made it perfect were a playground for the children and a takeaway on site - but hey, we managed! The beach was a great natural playground and the camping field more than big enough for them to play outside the tent without disturbing other campers - and as for a takeaway, the local one is 5 mins walk away. The surrounding areas are stunning, we totally fell in love with West Wales and will definitely be back at Aeron Coast very soon!

A very nice and well kept site with good clean clean shower / toilet blocks. Good sized pitches with hard standings for m/homes or caravans with e.h.u. The touring area was close to the beach and only a short walk into the town along the sea wall. The site has a small bar and open air s/pool. We only had 2 nights but will be staying longer next time. The town is very good with a lot to offer couples and families.

This was our 1st trip in our Tourer, so really the site could have been make or break for whether we went on another trip! Staying in a caravan with awning, myself, partner and 2 little boys we had a brilliant time. Facility-wise, there are two toilet and shower blocks that are spotlessly cleaned twice a day. The showers are the large family type ones - you know the ones I mean with a partition inside so you can keep your clothes and already showered and clean little ones dry! There is a clubhouse but I can't comment on that as we didn't use it. A garage at the entrance stocks most needed provisions, anything it didn't provide was sold in the town which was a stones throw away. There is a large enclosed sandpit for the children to play in, tennis courts and an enclosed area for ball games. Tourers are well spaced out with enough room for awnings etc. The sea is only a minutes walk away. We couldn't have asked for a nicer weekend there, it was really lovely.

Only our second outing in the camper but so enjoyable at this clean, tidy, welcoming and well-maintained site. Everyone was friendly and welcoming from the staff to the visitors (many of whom have own static vans on the site for many years). Indeed the site has been in the ownership of one family for over 40 years. The site has no shop but there is a well-stocked garage shop at the site entrance for the essentials and more. The site is only 200 yards from the town centre with the option to walk along the main road into town or on the coastal path. There are two club rooms (one quieter where bar meals are served and one for the children and noisier activities). The toilet blocks were spotlessly clean. We will certainly go again although it is likely to be out of the main holiday season as we think there may be much more noise from children during school holidays.
