Just returned home after spending 5 nights here. We camped on the top field which has fantastic views. The pitch was a good size & we were lucky to get one of the flatish pitches which easily accommodated our Kampa Croyde Classic air tent.

We did ask for a pitch on the lower level, but was told this area is only for caravans. However we did spot one tent piched in this area for the time we stayed!

We had a bit of a steep walk back from the shower facilities that need updating along with the washing up facilities- such a shame as everything else on site is great. The showers are far too hot to shower children. And I could hear children objecting whilst in the showers. Also notice this has been mentioned in previous reviews. Overall the showers were kept clean. And I never spotted dirty toilets or showers for the duration of our stay. But this really needs to be looked at as it lets the site down.

The children's club got the thumbs up from my two boys- they had a lovely time joining in with the different activities and couldn't wait to get down there on a morning. They also had a party on our last day which included food & games, which they both loved.

Outdoor play park is old and needs replacing- not very appealing. Yet it's better than nothing.

Plenty of amusements & rides over the bridge which was nice. We also had the fish & chips from the chippy over the bridge and ate them on the beach. Which I have to say was tasteless. Has to be the worst fish I've had for a long time.

The mini bowling also got the thumbs up- except only one lane working for the majority of our stay- would expect all lanes to be working during the height of the season- again this should be looked at.

The food & drink in the bowling bar was ok and not overly priced, we had a sharing platter which was nice. But slightly over priced at £10. My boys also enjoyed the slush drinks & milkshakes. The toilets in the bar area again need looking at- no lock on the door and no mirror in the ladies toilet. Just little things that need addressing.

WIFI in Bowling bar - Rubbish. No signal and couldn't log on most of the time.

Didn't get chance to see the entertainment as we had our family dog with us- but was able to bring him into the bowling bar which was a godsend.

The beach area is nice in places- such a shame the two sites can't get together and get the beach cleared of the stones- but I appreciate this would be a costly expense and not necessarily the sites responsibility.

Great to see the warden on a night walking around the site. Making sure noise etc was kept down.

Overall this is a good site with the potential to be a great site. We had a fantastic 5 night stay and wouldn't hesitate in returning- Thanks Glan Y Mor for making great memories for our two boys.

Tip: Make sure if camping you pitch correctly- spotted the warden asking people to move if not pitched right- rock pegs also needed- hard ground.

Have used this site a few times over the last 20 yrs, Overlooking the sea is great when the weather is fine, When the wind picks up you really need to pin ya tent down, not pleasant in very windy conditions. Onsite pub has gone down hill over the years, Unisex toilets, Arcade shut at 8pm, on site shop is poor now, had to go over to Clarach bay holiday park for a decent shop, (Arcade was awful there, half the machines didn't work or swiped ya money and then didn't work)Had to go off site for decent Fish and Chips. New toilet /shower block is pretty good, and was clean when we were there.

To be fair I wouldn't go there again, and parking in nearby Aberystwyth is awful now.

If you need to know anything else, please contact me

This was the second leg of our welsh adventure, and was really pleased that we stayed here. The site has everything you need, beach access 100 yrds away nice and flat, swimming pool, 2 arcades/games room plus a bigger arcade 200 yards over the little foot bridge, ten pin bowling bar/resturant + burger bar etc etc only thing missing is a shop for food although abba is a very short drive away and has everything you could ever need. Hai Yang chinese is very good and even delivery right to you caravan door.

Toilets are very good and extremely clean showers are great with plenty of hot water. Getting to site is really quite simple and straight forward, how ever there is an interesting corner on the approach north of abba. When we left site we went straight across b4572 and 1. 2mile joined the A487. Great site and wont hesitate to stay here again, really great site.

Right beside the sea! We pitched on a cliff overlooking the sea, it was very very windy, luckily we went prepared for it. Great facilities that included a bar, bowling, soft play area, clubhouse, swimming pool and small shop. Plenty to keep little ones entertained without being too commercialised. Fairground rides just across the way that were reasonably priced. 1 mile scenic walk into Aberystwyth along the coast path. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Very reasonably priced as well.

Booking and web site were excellent, arrived and found staff very efficient and friendly and were shown to our pitch, we were on the top field as we booked late. The top field was very wet and difficult to get onto pitches, caravans seemed to be all over the place and we parked our Motorhome with the pitch number in the centre as instructed, we then had tents either side of us very close as pitches weren't clearly marked. There was loud music playing from caravans but we didn't complain. Toilets were not kept very clean and the floor was always dirty and muddy but the showers had plenty of hot water. The campsite looked like it was unfinished untidy and not well kept but was in a good location with Coast path walks to Aberystwith less than an hours walk one way and borth about 2 hours walk the other way. There was also a bus service to Aberystwith which cost £2 each or £3 return. We didn't use the club or pool so can't comment on them.

All the staff were very helpful and kind, as first time campers, very important. Facilities including showers/toilets were really good and regularly cleaned. Views from the top field overlooking the bay- AMAZING! And only a short walk from the main leisure area, really did make our stay perfect. Pool, a very good size and spa was very nice, £2 adult, £1 child. Shop prices as you would expect on a campsite. Gorgeous pebbled beach. Will definitely be returning to Glan y Mor.

We had booked a fully serviced pitch online and was assured by the staff on the phone that the pitch had wonderful sea views.

On arrival we were very disappointed to find the pitch was 500 yards away from the shoreline, opposite the static vans behind a hedge with no view at all.

We relocated to the grass sites up on the hill choosing a pitch with sea views, all of these pitches on this field are sloping, so wheel levellers are required.

The showers and toilet block are new for this season and a big improvement on the old portacabins we had to use on our last visit.

Swimming pool and gym on site, laundry room is in the static van area. Some provisions in the reception area however a well stocked shop just outside the site over the wooden bridge.

Although June is a not a busy month, the site was starting to get full and the weekend, a football pitch is in the next field, however ignored by many young males.

Lots of bird watching, Red kites and buzzards to name a few. Ideal site for families

We have just returned from camping at this site for the May bank holiday (Me, the Mrs, two 12 year olds and the dog). What a great weekend.

The reception staff and everyone who we came into contact with couldn't have been more helpful. The site is clean and well served with a gleaming shower block. The views are stunning looking out to sea from the top field but be cautious with the winds when erecting and dropping your tent.

The shop has the basics and is reasonably priced, but with Aberystwyth a short drive away for those watching the penny's.

The pitches are a good size but no gazebo's are allowed; not the end of the world. We didn't fully explore the rest of the facilities, club house, bowling ally, arcade but the kids enjoyed the later two.

This is a great site for couples with younger children, fast food and fair ground across small bridge to a adjoining site. Will be visiting this site again.

We wanted a relaxing and quiet holiday for just the two of us, and that’s exactly what we got. We arrived around 3:30pm and were pleasantly surprised that we could go straight to our allocated caravan. The location of the park is second to none, you can smell the sea air. On arrival the staff at reception seemed friendly and efficient. The only thing we found disappointing was to be told that the club was only open during weekends when out of season, it didn’t impact on us too much, however it may have been nice to have pre-warned us at the time of booking when we rang or on their website. Therefore we are unable to comment on the entertainment or club itself.

The site is generally well kept, grass cut, and no littering etc. A lot of the caravans appear to be privately owned and so it makes the park look that more attractive. Our allocated caravan was good, it had all the essentials and efficient central heating which was great and much used at this time of year. The cleanliness was as you would expect, a good effort, but not quite as thorough as we’d be at home. The main area of the floor had been swept, but under the table and the edges had been missed, the plates were still damp in the cupboard, glasses were covered in bits (probably washed last) and the ice box in fridge was badly in need of defrosting. However nothing we couldn’t live with.

Being “out of season” during our stay from 14th Sept the site was very quiet, which suited us. It meant we had the pool to ourselves on a few occasions which was great. The pool is absolutely wonderful, it’s a good size and a good temperature. It has a very shallow end perfect for paddling or for little ones, the “deep” end isn’t exactly that deep, but just enough for my 6ft hubby to swim comfortably. The changing areas are a little tired but always looked clean when we used them. They consist of 2 toilets with solid lockable doors, but the actual changing cubicles have rubber shower curtains to protect your privacy (which may be an issue for some users). I would normally have preferred to have had a lockable door, but as it was so quiet it didn’t cause us any issues or embarrassment. Just beware that in our experience people pay no attention to the “swimming pool rules” i. E. We witnessed both adults and children running, jumping and diving into the pool etc. The jacuzzi was spotlessly clean and a heavenly temperature. The steam room was clean, just a little tired looking but in full working order.

The bar area is small, but clean and offers a wide selection of drinks and is managed by a friendly team of staff. We did not try the food though, so unable to comment. The shop supplies all the vital bits and pieces that you’d expect, however slightly overpriced as we all expect a camp shop to be, 2 pints of semi-skimmed milk being £2. There is a well stocked Spar in Bow Street just a short 2-3 mile drive from the park, although as with most Spar’s it’s also a little on the expensive side a 2L bottle of Pepsi being £2. 29. Certainly more convenient that driving to Aberystwyth, although it does have a good Co-op and Morrisons for anyone wanting to do a bigger shop.

The real selling point to this park is the location, our caravan was a matter of approx 120 meters from the beach, we could see the sea from the front of the caravan. Whilst the beach is quite dominated with pebbles it’s great for stretching your legs and watching the waves crashing against the rocks. Maybe not suited to building sand castles. The dogs seem to love it to.

Just a very short stroll across a little bridge and you’re at another caravan site Clarach Bay Holiday Village. It looks a good site, more for families with younger children in our opinion. It has a take away, café/restaurant, ice cream/donut shop and a small fun park.

We found enough to do and see during the week in just the surrounding area, the furthest we went was to Portmeirion. Worth seeing once, but we're unlikely to go back. Had a great meal in the Cloud of Starlings, a little pricey but well worth every penny we thought, £40 for a shared starter, mains, deserts and several soft drinks. Borth Animalarium well worth a visit - £9. 50 for adults but they do incredibly worthwhile work for unwanted animals. The Electric Cliff Railway is also worth a visit, such a novelty and outstanding views at the top.

All in all we had a great time, it was pleasant, quiet, no noise or issues and we hope to return next year.

We have just arrived home after spending 2 nights here. Upon arrival we checked in at reception and were given a warm welcome by a helpful receptionist. We were located on the top field, on a large pitch with elec hook up. There were male and female toilet/shower blocks in portacabins. Each contained 4 showers 3 toilets, and were clean. It is a great place for children, with so much to keep them happy. A couple of bowling lanes in the bar area, and upstairs is a good soft play area, which also has a small arcade. The swimming pool is accessed through the bar or side entrance

Indoor swimming cost £2 adult/£1 children

Indoor soft play area cost £2 per child

The shop on site is ok, it could be better stocked in my opinion, but the couple of items we needed were available, also the prices are reasonable. The young female workers are very polite and helpful.

Over the footbridge onto the clarach bay site is a little fairground and arcade, and also fish and chip shop, and pizza bar, again the prices were reasonable.

The only negative, on our 1st night, a group of between 6 + 8 were located opposite us, and had no respect for other campers whatsoever, the noise was so loud even after 02. 00. Yesterday morning the couple next to them (aged mid 50's) were complaining to the warden as he was on his rounds, and I verified their complaint was true. He assured us that other complaints had been made at reception, and security would be monitoring them last night. The other couple decided to move to the lower field, I only wish we had. 04. 00 this morning the noise was still going on, and security were nowhere to be seen. They only had a 4 berth tent, and had a van + 2 cars, and took 2 pitches up (paid for 1 the warden told us), 2 males were fast asleep in each car as we took our tent down 08. 00 this morning. Oh how I felt like disturbing their 'rest period', but would not stoop to their level.

It really is a shame as this is a decent campsite but I doubt we will make the 3 hour car journey again. Yes, you can get the odd rowdy person anywhere, but when several complaints are made against a group, and it is stated any repeat will see them moved, you expect to see something done when it happens the next night
