Enjoyed my long weekend here, came across it by chance. There are two large holiday sites here catering mainly for static vans and tourers, I camped on top field, rather windy at times so worth considering type of tent you take.
The toilet block and showers were clean only a short walk from camping field, shop on site selling all you need, access to site club is included in fee.,with entertainment for children and then later vocalist/caberet for adults, food available until late evening. Bowling alley, spa and swimming pool also.
Clarach bay and beach good mainly shingle with some sandy areas, river divides two sites, one has some amusements and chippy. Very useful for hungry campers!
Coastal path to Aberystwyth to left of site. And right for Wallog bay and Borth, really enjoyed both and had some stunning pics.
I felt site was pricey for a solo camper. Probably better value for a family. No reduction for being solo. Fill your tent and share the cost!

The site is Ok if not too windy as it is high up in the hill top. Site staff are friendly and helpful, to the best that they can be. If you go to this site make sure that it is out of peak time , as the field does get Very full, and you are on top of each other.
The shower block can not cope with a full sit!. There are no places to hang up/place your cloths when showering, so they get all wet! No room to get dry in the shower cubical. They are just to small and only having 3, you can imagine the wait.
The toilets are in the same porter cabin as the showers as before not that much room, not enough of them! The staff try to keep them clean, but on my last stay I reported sick in them in the early evening.
The next day it was still there. So packed up and came home 2 days early! I told the office staff of this. They said that they would get the manager to call me.
The other facilities that are there are fine. Lots of hot water to wash up in 2x sinks in a garden shed. They have a swimming pool, bowling Club & shop ( Did not use, so can't comment on)

4 adults, no children:
Great location on a cliff top but apparently windy more often than not according to the staff. 1st and 2nd days we had wind and rain, 3rd and 4th days glorious hot sunshine and slight breeze - fab! Surrounding area beautiful and an easy cliff top walk to Aberystwyth, more dicey walking along the cliff top to Borth due to the erosion.
Although all the facilities are free to those staying Wi-Fi charged at a minimum of £2. 50 for half an hour was not really acceptable when there are loads of free hotspots in Aberystwyth (Macdonalds, Wetherspoon, many of the pubs and hotels).
There are rules and regulations but these tended not to be observed by some visitors nor policed by staff ie Booked jacuzzi (available to 16 & above) but almost as soon as we got into it we were invaded by children and when we asked them to leave the parents were not happy but apologised when they read the sign on the door!
The pool is fab but completely impossible to swim in because of the amount of children in it (supervised and unsupervised throwing forbidden items like balls, rubber rings etc around). Really needs an hour a day set aside for adults only.
The toilets were cleaned daily but with the amount of people staying it was not enough (no loo paper accessible in 3 of the ladies toilets for a period of around 15 hours)- being done last thing at night so they were clean for the morning rush would be great. Showers were piping hot though.
All in all too cramped and not enough toilets or showers although talking to the warden they are trying to improve the situation but the council are not being at all helpful apparently. The washing up facilities were basic and the view spoilt by the rubble behind it.
Finally the rubbish bins overflowed almost as soon as they were emptied (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays) - management fighting to get daily collections and larger bins commensurate with the amount generated would help meanwhile.
However, even with these drawbacks I would recommend it to any families.

Took Grandchildren. Great site for kids, on the beach; little stream [safe] next to site, great for playing.
Shower/toilet block extremely clean and showers hot all the time. We were on the bottom tourer area. Top field very roomy, but looked a bit windy.
Swimming pool good. Gym facilities included in price -great.
Club has good entertainment programme for kids under 11, older boys left to game machine area! Adult programme began with bingo every night at 9 p.M. Cabaret at approx 9.45, so perhaps a bit late for campers. Bar prices reasonable and beer quality good. Wonderful if you like to end the day with a drink, and quiet seating area available.
3 miles from Aberystwyth, but very good bus service, 2 per hour, £2 return; Or a really good hill walk about 1 mile for the fit and active. Enjoyed this, wonderful views from top and small cable railway if wanted from Aberystwyth side down.
Shop on site has very limited food stock, could have been more 'cookable' frozen meat fish or veg, only ready meals available. Bread and milk, and small amount fresh veg available.
None of the pitches seemed to be very level. Take your blocks! We did not move our van all week after getting it level.
Overall though a good site, kids loved it, we relaxed.

Just got back from staying at sister site Swn Y Mor in Borth.
We visited Glan Y Mor for the day just to see what is was like and we were pleasantly surprised considering their other site we were staying at.
It does state that tents are situated on a hill overlooking bay and can be windy, which did put me off staying there hence picking their sister site, well we went up there to check it boy was a I wrong. I wish I had booked at Glan Y Mor. Far better facilities and surroundings. Gorgeous Clarach Bay little suntrap.
I had a nosey round and definitely would stay here, lots to do for the children all ages.

This review on this Camping Weekend Break was my first since 1973. (Last time I went camping was a Cub Scout LOL)
I was well impressed with Glan Y Mor Leisure Park. My Electric Hook Up Tent Pitch was in the Top Field, over-looking Clarach Bay. The Porta Cabin Toilet / Shower Block was just a short walk away. Very Clean & Tidy.
There is also a good Club House with Entertainment, Indoor Heated Swimming Pool, Sauna & Steam Room and pre-bookable use of Jacuzzi.
The Manager, Alex and all his staff were extremely friendly & helpful. The On Site Security Patrol gives great peace of mind. I will certainly be returning to this Camp Site.

Pre booked last year on the internet and arrived in June. When we got there we were told someone would escort us to our pitch but after 45min waiting we just set up where we wanted to. I thought oh great this is the start of a bad holiday but to my surprise it was amazing. We all went swimming everyday with our discount cards so it was cheap. We also went bowling on site other than that the weather was scorching so we had many BBQ's and played lots of field games football tennis etc. My 4 year old was delighted with the little park area and was even happier when the fair was open although I think it opened twice in 7days.
There are toilets and showers which seemed to be clean and dandy to us and also the washing up cabin was great too. The views and area on this top field are amazing and if you get the right weather your in for a good hol although we had a windy night (pretty scary) we had a mint time and will be returning this year.

Took our Freedom (Freeda) out for almost a full week test-run. Having tried a few one nighters we thought we'd go for broke!
Found Glan y Môr (Clarach Bay) on the internet and the website made it sound quite good. We were a bit worried choosing this and the price was very good indeed, but we really shouldn't have worried. We booked first week of July and got a web-discount as well.
Bit breezy being less than 5 min walk to the beach, and the top field did look very blustery - but the views would be superb! The facilities were not too bad at all, clean and tidy and looked after by the warden. Mostly this is a static site, with two touring areas - the bottom has better facilities and is a bit more sheltered, whilst the top has fantastic views, but suffers with the elements and the facilities are far more basic.
The site had free swimming included, and the 'heated' pool was great, albeit a bit refreshing!
There is a club, although we didn't use it, and there was no particular entertainment put on out of season except for the weekends. The 'grabber' machines were certainly fixed - as we tried daily, as did a few other unsatisfied customers.
I could imagine it could get busy in the school holidays, but there were still about 20 vans on the pitch, with about 6 of these being unoccupied seasonal.
There is a neighbouring larger static site with a small fairground, but again this was closed when we stayed.
Overall a really nice surprise, and a great little site when we stayed!

Pre booked for the 25/06/10 on the internet and netted a little discount making it £28.50 for two nights for our family of 5.
On the afternoon we called the site to explain we may be late which was not a problem. When we eventually got there at 8pm we were shown to our pitch by a very friendly and helpful warden, who offered more help if needed. A very warm welcome!
The facilities are great on site, with bowling alley, gym, swimming pool etc. The touring pitch area is smaller on the bottom field, with hook up and super pitches but much better then being on the cliff. In more changeable weather it could get windy up there.
Shower/toilet facilities very clean and great washing facilities too. Shop on site open at 8am each morning, club house with good entertainment for all ages. The site is right on the beach too, which is a nice touch.
The staffs very very friendly and helpful you cant go wrong, safe to say we will be going back.
Highly recommend!

Just come back from Glan y mor, hadn't been there for a while as it had gone down hill a bit. But what a transformation, new wardens who were really great, nothing a problem.
Nice clean showers and toilets, hot water at all times.
Pitches were good we were on the bottom field, if you go here stay on this field as the top one is very windy.
Nice club for entertainment at night, didn't try the food but it looked lovely, there is a small bar where there are small bowling lanes great for the kids, you can get food in here as well.
Swimming pool is big and it was free I took my son every morning.
Morrisons and the co-op are in Aberystwyth about 3 miles away,
Will be going back, no doubt.
