We had looked at camping here but chose a static so my parents could come. Not sure I would liked to camp as the field was very exposed but did have great views.
The statics are lower than the tent field so easy to get to. The static was cleanish. But had not been hoovered! That is the only bad thing I can comment on.
The staff were very friendly on arrival, when we asked for a bbq and outdoor table and chairs they delivered them within an hour. The pool was great and we loved the jacuzzi, spa and steam room!
The beach had quite a lot of pebbles but was sandy in parts. There is a stream that runs to the sea and the kids loved to either fish in it or go in their dinghy's which was great, as it wasn't too deep so didn't have to worry about currents etc.
The clubhouse and softplay were great too. Loved this site as it wasn't too commercial and had lots to do. Would defo recommend it!

We visited the site in August 2011 and on the whole had a lovely time. The top field where we were was on a very high hill which was extremely windy which made pitching our tent very difficult. The warden was very friendly. After pitching things went ok. The toilet block was fine.
We found the showers very very cramped and if you have to go in with a child it's impossible and there's no where to hang your clothes. The pool is lovely and we worked out that it was much easier to shower there rather than use the shower block. We now read that there is a charge for the pool where during our stay it was free. The shop was ok although we didn't use it much. We used the fairground little and the kids aged 9 and 4 enjoyed it. We didn't try the eating places on site.
We didn't go no the beach but we did buy a dingy from the shop and go on the little river with it that leads down to the sea. We also used the softplay area upstairs which was nice and at the time was free but you now have to pay. We used the bowling alley which was lovely and some food from the bar which was good. We enjoyed the entertainment for the one night we made use of it.
HOWEVER! after booking to return to the site for July 2012 with a family who are our friends, unfortunately we were unable to go as my husband (aged 35) had a heart attack 2 weeks before we were due to go. I rang 2 days after his heart attack to say we could not come. They said we coudl not have a refund or transfer to another date. My cousin who lives in Aberystwyth went round to plead on our behalf but to no avail. They would not budge at all which we thought was very unfair and unreasonable.
We are reluctant to book here again because of this and also due to the bad recent reviews the site has received. This is a shame as on the whole we did have a good time.

We stopped here last year in the August bank holiday.
This is site with the best veiws out to see. The land is sloped so finding a flat place to pitch is quite hard when the site is very busy.
The pub on site is okay but the day we departed we ordered breakfasts which took 2.5 hours to arrive - we did complain but was told they were having issues.
The facilities are clean and free and in portable cabin style. There could be more provided for the amount of people that use the site as there can be long queues.
Would stay here again but not during really busy periods.

We have just come back from this site and would never return. The pitches are cramped and we felt like we were on top of each other. We booked a super pitch but to be honest they are far from super.
The equipment is dated and whilst we were there some of the pitches lost electric for 2 days. On the positive side, the toilets and shower block are very clean but old fashioned.
The wardens Tracy and Dave were great. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. The play area is also very dated and not secure as there are gaps in the hedge where children can get out onto the road.
There is lots to do in the local area. We visited the silver mines, forest and devils bridge by train, all very good days out. There are also fantastic coastal path walks from the bay to Aberystwyth or Borth.
Aberystwyth is a pleasant enough town, but slightly shabby and there is nowhere in the town or surrounding area that is decent for families to eat out which was very disappointing.
The area seems to be in a time warp and compared to other places we have visited this year such as Tenby, New Quay etc, has not done enough to attract or welcome visitors of different ages and incomes.
If you like amusement arcades and slightly tacky entertainment and do not mind close proximity to others, go for it!

We have just spent 3 nights here at Glan y Mor. We had to pitch our very large tent & strong winds & wondered if we would be staying as youngest didn't like the sound or the movement of the tent. So glad we stayed as the next day the weather was calm & sunny. The views are fantastic, the location of the site is fab, right on the beach. Kids loved exploring the rock pools & strolling across the shingle/pebbley beach. There is a club for night time entertainment & plenty to do during the day. Small amusements kiddies rides & very reasonably priced 50p & £1 rides. Also the pool was great for the kids. The facilities on the top field are porta cabins but adequate & kept clean. It is a very steep drive up to the top field. All I can say I'm glad hubby was driving!

We have been coming to Glan Y Mor for many years as the views from the top field overlooking the bay are stunning and to watch the sun set over the sea is truly breath taking, It was so relaxing to watch the families on the beach, people fishing, and the boats sailing on the flat sea, the weather warm and sunny which always helps us to relax.
The park is only a 7 minute drive from the town of Aberystwyth and they have an hourly local bus service which comes to the park and goes to the local town of Aberystwyth which is great if you want a complete break from driving, there are plenty of shops in the town and plenty of good places to eat.
On arrival we were met by the same wardens who have been there the past couple of years which is good to see, they were very helpful as we needed an extension to our electric cable and they were happy to oblige, the toilets although a bit dated and porter cabins were immaculate and cleaned regularly by the wardens.
The entertainment we felt was the best yet and the staff we very friendly.
We decided to stay for the Sunday Carvery which was excellent value for money with about 8 different vegetables and it was cooked to perfection. We have already booked for the summer and can’t wait to go back, the staff made us feel very welcome which helped make our stay enjoyable

This is not a cheap site but it has one of the best views along this rugged coastline.
It has two camp fields the lower is sheltered with a very well kept toilet shower block the upper field is exposed to all that the welsh weather can throw at you but has views to put a big smile on your face.
The toilet shower block up there is portable cabins but are somehow kept clean despite there age.
The cliff top walks can be a bit scary so not for the faint hearted.
The site overall is a little tired but the staff are very helpful which makes this one site that I will return to.

Me, my partner and our four children spent a week here in a tent. My parents were booked in a static. Excellent views from the cliff edge but very windy if you catch it wrong!
Clubhouse entertainment was fun. Indoor pool, Sauna, Steam Room, Jacuzzi, Skittle Alley and soft play area very welcomed. Small fair on site (great for kids), shop and chip shop. Lovely coastal walk into Aber. Great walks around the coves.
Shame about the sea front pub being closed. Lovely estuary running under the bridge at the bottom of the site, kids loved the paddling and some even had dingys.
There's an empty building right on the edge of the site just outside the entrance of the club which, in my opinion, should be opened to provide sandwiches, snacks, pop and maybe locally caught fish.
Expensive, I thought, cost nearly £700 (tent & static), you get what you pay for I suppose.
Would visit again and definitely recommend.

We had great weather on this site and were very pleased with the beach & coast line walks.
We were (two families) booked on two super pitches which we we were both disappointed with, they were both small as were all the super pitches (approx 6 in all).
On the plus side toilets miraculously clean which were regularly cleaned by the warden.
It was very busy on our visit and the power went off twice which was unable to be fixed until an electrician arrived later or the next day. This was disappointing as you would expect there to be a good enough power supply especially for super pitches. The problem was eventually resolved.
The swimming pool was excellent and free and never too busy.
My youngest & I enjoyed the bowling alley and the club house & entertainment
All in all we would definitely go back again but would not book on the super pitches. The normal grass pitches looked very spacious and grass in excellent condition at the time of our visit
The views from the camping area on the top of the site were fantastic but be warned it gets very windy up there. Would like to camp up there but not with an awning.
Shop on site with all the basic requirements, bit pricey but acceptable.
Didn't try the ice cream shop
Didn't try the food in the bar but from what I saw it looked very good
Plenty to do around this area, go to the red kite bird reserve, devils bridge and the railways good too

We came back to Glan-y-mor for Easter this year as we enjoyed it so much last year! It was nice to see the same wardens, Dave and Tracey, again and they gave us a warm welcome and remembered us.
The field we were in was well looked after as usual and the toilet block was, as usual very clean and kept that way for the duration of our stay, despite it being very busy and full on the bank holidays.
The pool was as always, very nice, and the entertainment was great! They are also now doing a Sunday carvery which is really good value for money. The on-site shop was better stocked this year and the prices were very reasonable.
There is also a new ice cream parlour which is well worth a visit on a hot day! The park is well sited on the beach with coastal walks adjoining the site and is also within easy reach of the local town of Aberystwyth which is also well worth a visit.
We are looking forward to returning again soon as the wardens made our visit very welcoming and provided us with all the help we needed and an excellent service!
We would recommend this park to families as the facilities cover all ages including the parents!
