Hot water, good showers. Stunning scenery.
Spend a few minutes finding a flat spot as it is quite a slope in places.
Walks close by. Wildlife in abundance

My partner and I really loved this campsite. It’s very hilly and the ground is a bit rocky for tent pegs in some places, but we’ve stayed here twice so far and thoroughly enjoyed the location both times.
We cycled there from Cardiff, and so went everywhere on foot or bike once arrived. There is no pub within walking distance, but there is a burger van and lots of beautiful walks.
There's a Nature Reserve Centre with a cafe within walking distance too with lots of walks designed for families with children, but it’s also gorgeous to go around without kids too!
The campsite is dog friendly (as are all the walks and nature centre) and very child friendly too! The campsite offers a great service where they’ll charge your devices for 50p per device.
There are fire pits at the campsite that everyone is welcome to use.
If you’re not interested in using the fire pits I suggest camping away from there as they tend to attract tents clustering together.

Hilly campsite. Charging facilities for mobile phones. A big site comprising of 3-4 fields, but very well spaced out. We went Easter Weekend and it didn't feel cramped or overcrowded at all!
Good facilities.
Lots of walks nearby, accessible on foot, car, or by bike.
Burger van selling breakfast rolls 1min drive up the hill in a layby, or 5min walk if you're happy to walk in the verge along a busy road. No pub or shops within walking distance, but Cefyn Coed is only 10mins down the road by car or bicycle.
Very child-friendly site. Perfect location if you're doing the Taff Trail or Pen-Y-Van.

Reading other people’s reviews I must agree, the nice old lady points out the camping field to you, but she just continues doing it with anyone who turns up so the site gets very overcrowded! If you manage to secure a decent sized space next to your tent for your car, don’t be surprised to find a tent pitched there when you come back after a day out. You could then end up having to park in a different field yourself!
People praise the views from the site which really are stunning, but there were probably over a hundred groups on site when I was there. In the Gents there are 2 toilets and a single shower. In the Ladies there are three toilets and a single shower. All of these are pretty worn out and totally insufficient for the campers saying there. Can you believe there is just one sink in the gents! There appear to be two more single toilets in the yard but they were always in use so I don’t know what was inside them.
A large number of the pitches are on a slope; many so severe it is difficult to sleep without sliding out of your tent! The flat spots seemed to be mainly allocated to mobile homes. There is very little cut grass. If you were staying out of season you would probably get some short grass, but in high season they open the meadows where the grass is over a foot high. The midges love this and they fest!
It is difficult to know how the owners see their site. Is it a family site or more of an adult site? You are just told to find some space and pitch. All types of groups were mixed in together. There were a number of groups of adults sitting round open fires drinking beer and talking into the early hours, but at six in the morning the site began to fill with children’s voices as they spilled out of their tents. They don’t shut the gate in the evening so people can return to the site at any time of night, driving onto the camping field with their headlights cutting right through your tent. There is no form of lighting in the camping field at night and all the facilities are across the road at the farm house.
All in all a very difficult place to sleep, so I won’t be going back.

Excellent site for visiting the Brecons. Lovely quite site in April when we went, facilities are limited but when we were there they were quite adequate. Owners are lovely and very helpful. If touring this part of Wales would recommend this site.

First time at this campsite and I could not find any fault with it. The owners gave us a warm welcome, the facilities were clean and the farmer even helped tow us out of mud when we got stuck. The boarder collie from the farm came down from the field to play with our dogs for half an hour which was highly entertaining to watch. An excellent site.

Owner couldn't have been more welcoming. We were held up getting there by a road diversion but when we rang to warn of late arrival she still came out & greeted us & showed us to our pitch.
The facilities were spotless. Mention has been made of them being old. It's a farm site!
Ideal site if riding at Bike Park Wales which is about 10 minutes away.

Nice quiet site although the entrance and exits are very tight, facilities really could do with upgrading and increasing the amount In general. There is one tap and one area for waste water disposal.
I can imagine the site to be very busy during the main season.
There are two children's play areas fenced off for safety. Plenty to see around and about all within easy travelling distance.
This site is however on a farm and we found that occasionally the farm dog did use the site as a toilet, tread carefully!

Very pleasant, helpful owners but the toilets and shower block in need of an upgrade. Unfortunately we were bitten to pieces by midges in an attempt to sit out early evening. We relocated to be away from the perimeter stream but little improvement. Shame really but would not return to this site on the chance of this being a regular problem in the warmer months.

Memorable bank holiday weekend in many ways. Firstly the campsite which was clean, great views and location, welcoming and in respect of the caravan section, well-spaced, level and accessible; everything we could have asked for on our first ever trip and more. The easiest palce to get to as well. M4 A470 - two roads from anywhere in South Wales or England! Mrs Pugh and her son in law Andrew could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The toilets and showers were clean and water was hot and Mrs Pugh could regularly, throughout the day, be seen checking and cleaning the facilities. On the second day we had big issues with the car and Andrew was ready and willing to help with jump leads, battery charger and spanners and a smile and helping word and hand. I had to stay and extra two days and again, during this time, as made to feel welcomed and asked about how it was all going. Eventually got car fixed after the bank holiday and managed to get home. However, we are going back and will do more than once as the location is great but more importantly the hosts make you feel relaxed and set up the site for you to enjoy your break - highly recommend.
