We were meant to be staying here for 3 nights but only stayed for one. The entrance was narrow for a 26 ft motor home. No hardstanding pitches. Shower block very clean but old. Sites were terraced. It was difficult to fill with fresh water. The lady who ran the site was very welcoming and the walk around the resovoir was breathtaking.

We had a lovely week at this site with our 6 year old child & dog. We had a lovely welcome from the owner who was always around if needed. The facilities were good the showers were nice & hot & cleaned daily as were the toilets. The only downside was that the ground was rather wet & muddy but to be honest it was the end of October so was not a problem at all as we had packed our wellies expecting some rain. All in all if you want a nice base for the Brecon Beacons then it is a lovely site. This site was perfect for us as we do not like commercialised sites & we loved it so much we are thinking of returning next year.

Lovely spot, lovely campsite. A really beautiful location with amazing views!

Our first night (thursday) was great, Friday (needless to say), many more campers arrived, in fact people were still arriving and pitching tents gone midnight! No problem, we just had a couple more beers.

The next morning, our neighbours (a group of about half a dozen campers), were having a very noisy fry-up breakfast/meeting at 6. 00am!

Not happy! There were no rules about noise or 'quiet times'. Camping etiquette was obviously not observed.

Apart from that it was lovely. The owner couldn't have been more friendly and obliging.

Recommended.

The facilities were basic but always clean, even when the site was busy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We used it a a base to walk and cycle although there were no walks directly from the site as a busy road passed the entrance. Nearby were off road cycle and walking tracks. The nearest shop and pub was about 2 mile away. A very enjoyable visit.

Took my seven children camping with me and the husband to this beautiful caravan site. Had the best of welcome from start to finish. Toilet blocks very clean. Camp site spotless and shower blocks spotless. Two small playgrounds for the younger children and plenty of space for the older one to play footy etc: Although there is no shop on site you can get chocs crisps pop milk eggs from reception it was our first time camping and have already booked to go back.

Stayed here recently for 3 -nights during the Merthyr Rock festival. A lovely site to stay on, Mrs. Pugh, the owner was very helpful and friendly. The toilet block and shower facilities were kept very clean and were attended to on a regular basis. Stunning scenery and loved the topiary animals in the gardens. Really enjoyed our stay and hope to come again, lovely walks from site which didn't get to go on this time due to spending all our time down at the festival but hopefully another time, supposed to be a waterfall nearby that would love to visit next time. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We have just come back from a long weekend at this site and it was fabulous. The owner is lovely and very, very helpful. The showers clean and well maintained.

The ladies toilets were spotless and cleaned every few hours.

The site was quiet and there was plenty of room between pitches.

The views are exceptional and the site is perfectly placed for walkers and cyclists.

We will be going again next spring.

This campsite is in a lovely part of Wales. The views from here are amazing.

The owner is very nice and helpful. Unfortunately the facilities are not the best. Extremely basic and not very clean (which is not helped by some of the visitors, in fairness to the owner).

The campsite is very well situated for visiting local attractions, and is easy to find off of the main road. There is a small local shop, or for supermarkets and retail parks Merthyr Tydfil is a short drive away.

Absolutely brilliant campsite! This is a basic place, but has everything you need. And, if you want to be close to nature, then look no further. There were two of us and we stayed two nights, towards the end of July. With two tents and a trailer it cost us £40! :-) great value! The owner could not have been nicer and she always greeted us with a smile. She even let us leave in the afternoon, which let us see the great waterfalls nearby! We camped down by the communal fire, which was lovely. I ran out of battery on my phone, but if you ask the lady, she will allow you to charge your phone in the farmhouse/reception for a charge of £1. The scenery and walks were amazing! My dog had a ball! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and I hope to get back next year!

Just returned for our second visit to this lovely site. We had a week here this time. Can't say enough good about this site. It truly is a beautiful site, in a beautiful location.

You won't find a more welcoming reception from the lovely lady who runs this site, who can't do enough to help you. She works tirelessly to keep the place in lovely condition, well manicured lawns and hedges and clean facilities.

There is quite a high turnover on this site because of the close proximity to Pen Y Fan, so walkers and hikers seem to find it convenient for a stopover before or after they conquer Pen Y Fan, but that didn't bother us at all.

In fact we had a fantastic week, and of course the super hot weather helped a lot!

Would highly recommend this site and especially the friendly welcome, and an enjoyable stay.
