Awesome, clean well maintained grounds, not all flat but plenty of flatish areas use levellers if in camper.

Great clean facilities, toilets & showers we had plenty of hot water for showers. Washing machine, tumble drier & phone chargers which you have to pay for but site is only £20 a night.

Great signage so you know where everything is, plenty of well signed rubbish bins & recycling. Yes it's out of town no pubs or restaurants within walking distance so you need food and drink, it is near but not right on quiet a busy road but not really noisy & I'm a light sleeper.

Was quiet at night no wild parties etc.

We will definitely be back lots to do within 10/20 minute drive waterfalls & walks brecon mountain railway, big pit.

One thing I would say was if you are going to have a fire take some wood as not nice seeing people breaking branches from trees.

All in all great place, great location, great facilities.

Nice campsite, quiet, toilets were clean,

Only stayed one night,

Short walk from a reservoir,

Nice scenery surrounding the area but not much to do on site

I first came here in '84, have been several times since but not for about 15 years.

Site has been improved over that time but it is still a working farm and that is one of its attractions.

No eateries within walking distance which is a drawback but it is a good location in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

There are signs up saying quiet from 10pm but there was a noisy, foul mouthed group there on Friday and Saturday nights who were still making this noise at 1am. However, that just reminded me of my usual rule not to go to campsites on Fridays and Saturdays!

The facilities were clean and tidy.

The site is right off the main A470, so yes you will hear traffic. The only thing within walking distance is the reservoir, lovely but only 5 minutes' walk. No footpaths straight from the site so you'll have to drive as the A470 doesn't have a footpath.

The site is in a valley so that means very few level bits of ground.

Don't use the tumble dryer to dry shoes or anything heavier than a sock as the owner will remove whatever he thinks might damage the machine.

The washing up water was cold and no amount of pressing on/off buttons made any difference.

If you're looking for a base for walking then look elsewhere.

This campsite has all the facilities you need, they are fairly well maintained, its camping afterall! it depends what you are after from your camping experience as to whether this site is for you.

Positives: if you are looking for a family friendly, easy to access site without having to trudge through uneven dirt tracks and is close to the main tourist sites in West B Beacons then its great. We could access the 4 waterfalls and Pen y Fen within 20 minutes.

Negatives: being easy to access comes with the fact its next to the A road so you can hear traffic. Also the reservoir is at the end of the lane running straight past means there is big industrial water lorries which trundal past.

The field is not level so can mean an uncomfortable nights sleep if you find yourself on a tilt.

As a pre warning DO NOT try and park on or in the dips, we got stuck down and due to the wet ground it was very stressful and hard to get out.

Overall positives and negatives (make sure you hid in your tent or car when the 'witching hour' (after sunset)when the midges take over!

This small site is pleasant and is in a nice location.

Only a couple of toilets (mens) and there were probably 40-50 tents.

Hot water for washing up was cold.

Unfortunately due to a large group playing loud music late into the night I was not able to enjoy the natural setting as I should have been.

Pretty and beautifully maintained facilities area with everything I needed and easy to find, drinking water, bins, loo's etc.

Nice friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

The site is easy to find and in a convenient position not far from the car parks for the start of many great walks and lovely reservoirs.

Perfect location for the Brecon Beacons, we were here to walk and mountain bike, and we were busy everyday without having to travel too far.

Merthyr Tydfill was surprising with a great park, a couple of good retail parks and a huge bike and MTX shop. Helpful website with lots of suggestions for local activities.

Good communication so you know exactly where to pitch when you arrive.

Facilities are good and kept clean, it never felt too crowded despite being busy in the school holidays.

A small improvement would be some signage at the recycling and refuse point.

We loved it here.

So convenient for touring the amazingly scenic Brecon beacons. Also handy for Bike Park Wales. Beautiful reservoir walks from campsite.

Campfires allowed.

Very good Covid measures with plenty of hand sanitizer and spotless facilities.

Some road noise but also plenty of bird song from well planted hedgerows that screen the various small camp fields.
