Mrs Pugh is wonderful, just like coming home to mother! stayed a week and was sorry to leave. Had a pitch next to the stream, smoked the midges away with barby. Facilities excellent. Was even invited to watch footie on the tv in the barn.

Mrs pugh is a very friendly and helpful person. We stayed at Grawen farm in february, despite a bit of rain, we thouroughly enjoyed our stay with a warm shower and toilets, helping us feel at home. I would recomend this campsite to other campers, as it is situated brilliantly and is on the outskurts of the Brecon Beacons. For a great breakfast, I recomend the burger van just half a mile from the campsite. We will be returning in the easter cant wait!

Stayed here for a weekend, Mrs Pugh was lovely and made you feel at home. Campsite facilities were basic but clean and plenty of hot water was available. Wouldn't stay here again for 2 reasons. The place is midgie infested and I mean swarms every evening and morning and secondly we were a tent with electric so were with the caravans and it was like pitching on concrete. It was a grass field but you could clearly see the gravel underneath and I'd recommend anyone camping in that field to take a heavy duty pegs with them.

Pleasantly surprised by the extensive additional washing and toilet facilities. Mrs Pugh was very friendly and helped us out of a difficulty. Although the weekend was wet the site drains well so we had no trouble with choosing a pitch. Some traffic noise from the main road but this was our first night out so we probably slept less than we would otherwise have done. One visitor who had visited the site before planned a three week stay there.

This was our first trip in a motorhome and we chose this campsite out of compulsion to stay in the area for the trips the next day. The site was geographically well placed with respect to the waterfall county and the beacons. The owner Mrs.Pugh was lovely. But the facilities were quite basic and inadequate for the numbers staying at the site. This became apparent when we stayed at other campsites in Wales. I would stay in the site again if the facilities are improved.

Well, I had a mad idea to go for a wander in the Brecon Beacons so I packed up, got a train to Merthyr Tydfil and a cab up to this site (found it on my OS map.) I arrived at 9:30pm and Mrs Pugh was happy to accommodate me and I set up on the pitch right outside the owners house.
The site has 2 outside toilets, also a portacabin with a toilet/shower block and a utility room which houses a washing machine/dryer/sink. All of these have hot water.
I used the site as a base for walks and a trek up into the Brecons and it was ideal. The local scenery is breath-taking with Llwyn-on reservoir 10 minutes walk up the road where there's also a burger van which serves a smashing all day breakfast for £4. You can fish at the reservoir and the burger van even sells trout-bait.
I loved this place and would recommend it to anyone.

This site is one of the best situated campsites we have stayed at. The surrounding area and view from the campsite is lovely. The owners and the other campers were extremely friendly. A large portion of the site is very sloping, but it is possible to locate a reasonably flat area. However, the toilet and shower facilities are inadequate. It's the first time I have seen a queue outside the gents toilet, let alone the ladies. There are only two sinks for washing up and consequently there was also a queue here also. The other negative aspect are the swarms of midges in the morning and the evening. We all came home covered in itchy bites, even though we applied plenty of insect repellent. If you don't mind the insects and queues for the facilities, then this site is worth a visit.

August Bank Holiday 03 Very nice site with really friendly owners, got bitten to death by gnats when we were setting up but then they disappeared and we had a really great weekend.
Not many showers, but that didn't really cause a problem and there were 21 of us - we stayed on the 'tump' which is a big lump right in the middle of the bottom field.
There is a small shop on site in the back of the farmhouse that has basic stuff, but Merthyr Tydfil has a large Asda about 10 - 15 minutes drive away for larger grocery shopping.

August Bank Holiday 03 A very attractive campsite with beautifully kept gardens, very friendly and helpfull owners. We stayed at the site during the August Bank Holliday when the site was full. I have to dissagree with Paul Lewis with regard to the facilities. The Toilet/Shower block was certainly adequate when we were there, and they were kept clean.

August 2003 This was a generally quite pleasant site with friendly and helpful owners. The site consisted of several fields, many of these were sloping quite severely though. The flattest top field had several electric hook ups and is used largely for caravans.
2 small play areas available.
The facilities were clean but inadequate for the amount of people using the site. They really need more showers than the 4 currently offered.
Quite a lot of youngsters with accompanying noise were heard in the lower fields.
