We love this campsite. It seems to be primarily for caravans/campervans as there are no showers or washing up block but the field for tents is perfect for us.
The field is very well maintained and there is lots of room for running around and playing games. The adjoining part of the campsite with electric hook ups looks lovely too.
It would have been nice to be able to hire a fire pit or similar so, if you can, we suggest you bring your own.
It is a quiet site even with children playing and enjoying their freedom which is one of the best things about camping. The owner is friendly, helpful and easy to find if you need him.
Walking around the area is great, so pretty, and you are near shops, takeaways and pubs serving food, although you would hardly know until you explore.
A little further out is Sudbury and within a 20 minute drive, Bury St Edmunds. There are also a few Manors, Halls and gardens nearby plus lots of picturesque pubs serving food and great scenery.
We did not have a chance to use it but there is also a cafe.
All in all, a great site, perfect for short breaks for a tent, or longer if more self contained - and the sunsets as you sit outside your tent, enjoying the evening is worth it alone!

Hidden gem, what an absolutely lovely site. Spacious pitches with trees between to give you privacy.
Hosts where so friendly and helped me reverse the caravan (second time doing it)
Peaceful, pretty, well maintained. We will definitely be coming back as it’s only 25mims from home.
Thank you so much for having us!

Lovely well laid out site, private, peaceful, with views over Stour valley. Shops, pubs, take aways, nearby.
Good cycling lots of quiet lanes, and cycle path from Melford to Sudbury.

Great place to stay,
Colin was a great host and helped where possible,
Clean and tidy,
If using motor home alternative transport recommended if wanting to explore, village is in walking distance with mini market, small shop on site with limited day to day items,
Would stay again.

Great site. very quiet and peaceful
Does have toilets 🚻 but no shower facilities
Close to the village
I went for an walk round the site etc etc and came across some units on the site and one of the units does lawnmower repairs in one half of the unit and the 2nd half of the unit is an shop run by a very polite young lady, you can buy soft drinks, bottle water, snacks, crisp, etc etc and sugar, tea bags and coffee. it's well worth talking an look inside.

Beautiful, well kept site in an idyllic rural location.
Field we stayed in had a real orchard feel with apple, pear and plum trees abound, and blackberry bushes.
Colin was atop bloke and couldn't have been more welcoming /friendly. Highly recommend.

Clockhouse caravan site is very well kept with large plots separated by trees and hedges.
Colin will help with any problem or just be there for you.
We will be returning to clockhouse next year and look forward to meeting Colin

Lovely site with a very friendly owner who tours around throughout the day on a golf buggy, to check on /cheer everyone up.
The views over the Stour were limited, but there are great walks from the site and lovely villages and towns nearby.
We would definitely return.
