This was our second visit to this beautifully maintained and peaceful site.
Plenty of room for children to run around and a small area with swings.
The toilet block is always clean but no showers although talk of some being built in the future.
The owner Colin is very friendly and pops round to see if all is ok and very knowledgeable about local facilities of which are plentiful.
If you like walking there are loads of walks to be had, pubs, shops, chip shop all very close by.
Although it was very windy over the weekend we enjoyed our very relaxing stay and will be going back again.

Visited this site on August Bank Holiday weekend. Colin the owner was very friendly and welcoming. The site wasn't or appeared not to be crammed. The pitches aren't marked out but plenty of room.
Only downside to the tent field was that there was no shelter and as we had some strong winds on the Sunday we were open to the elements. The facilities are basic no hot water in toilets, but the toilets were cleaned regularly and always had loo paper!
There are also no showers but went swimming one day and used showers there. The surrounding area and views are good, two pubs (although never used them) close by. The chip shop round the corner is also very good if you got kids be aware they give tons of chips!
Overall this was an excellent weekend away camping and would definitely go there again. Although no showers considering this cost £39 for three nights for 2 Adults and 3 children excellent value.

The site is beautifully kept, lovely views and exceptional hospitality. Currently no showers but plans to build one. Only 2 toilets but never proved a problem and spotlessly clean.
The position is excellent, stunning villages: Lavenham, Clare, Cavendish, Long Melford, great country walks, could easily of spent a week here. Will definitely revisit.

Just had a lovely family weekend on this site, we had two caravans, a medium tent and two pup tents. First time away with the grandchildren age 9 months and 2 yrs. Had a lovely relaxed time. Nice family site, Colin the owner couldn't be more accommodating and helpful.
Small shop and chip shop short walk away. Long Melford is a lovely place to visit. We are now planning our next visit for just the two of us. No showers on site but for the price, this is a brilliant site.

Our first time camping, but this place was what we wanted, clean, quiet, flat field, a toilet block and friendly owner, who was very knowledgeable and came round a couple of times to make sure everyone was happy.
There is a pub, fish n chip shop and convenience store all within walking distance. For children there is ample space to run around and two swings in the corner of one field.
Will be going back again.

We visited Clockhouse Farm for 6 days in July. The site is superb, very well tended to and very welcoming by owner Bloomers (Colin) who took me round on his golf cart to pick out our pitch.
The site has very large grass pitches and given the time of year we went, (first week of the summer hols), there we probably about 10-12 pitches taken which meant for a lovely quiet break. The site has a rally and camping field plus loads of quiet individual pitches with electric. The views are superb.
The site does not have showers but that didn't put us off as we went to the local swimming pool and combined a swim with the kids with 'good housekeeping!'.
The only downside was not the site but the area. Whilst we are able to amuse ourselves as a family, interesting days out for us meant a good drive in any directions to find family days out. Not a problem if you're a couple. There are a couple swings on site for the kids but I guess when the site is full there might be a tussle or two for a go!
At £12 a night peak season you just can't complain, we've been to rubbish sites for twice the price.
Go for it, you'll not be disappointed!

It is clean and tidy, the owner Colin is helpful and friendly. It is a good area for visiting Bury st edmunds Long Melford, which has a national trust house and gardens while we were there, the hall had a big show on. The weather was great.
There is also a large rally field which was in use, but we did not hear any noise from it. We will use this site again.

This is a lovely, well kept site and Colin was very friendly and helpful, always around to help with any questions and to check our visit and holiday was going well.
The only facilities are 2 toilets so a block for separate male and female facilities with showers would be the icing on the cake for this localy site.
Nice pub within walking distance and several shops in the village too - one like a mini supermarket with everything you could want

First visit to Clockhouse Farm and it won't be our last. Stayed for ten days prior to the May day bank holiday week-end (we departed on Sunday 2nd May) but even then the site was not full to bursting and the extra visitors did not spoil our enjoyment or view!
A super pitch had been reserved for us, close to water, waste disposal, hook-up and toilets and we had a great time as well as being well looked after.
Colin was always about either walking his dog or in his 'golf' buggy checking that everything was ok and stopping for a friendly chat. For people with young children there also appeared to be plenty of 'green' areas for them to play, let off steam and fly their kites etc.
Currently there are only toilet facilities available (basic but clean) however understand that they are hoping to install shower facilities in the near future which for visitors with tents / trailer tents etc., would be a great advantage.
Long Melford was probably our favourite haunt; lovely little independent shops and superb tea rooms but there are many places in the area to visit so pick up the leaflets available on site and start checking it out for yourselves.
Very good Fish & Chip shop in Glemsford village and we did have one evening meal at The George in Cavendish (two courses for £13.00 per person) which was absolutely gorgeous and worth every penny!
Will hopefully be back to Clockhouse Farm in the not too distant future and looking forward to it already!

We enjoyed a lovely BH w/end based at this campsite. We booked late by email - and the owners kindly phoned us back to say that although the site was nominally fully booked, if we turned up before lunch on Saturday we would get a space. We did - and there were plenty of good flat pitches to choose from. We didn't need EHU and I'm not sure if there were sites with electricity available. Even in the evening when the site filled up a lot there was still plenty of room in the centre of the site for the children to play rounders, fly kites etc. We appreciated the kindness and hospitality of the owners - who stopped by several times to see that we were happy - and they even gave us a bag of delicious plums picked from their tree! The lack of hot water at this site wasn't really a problem for us - and the location close to Glemsford means this is an ideal base for exploring locally - Clare, Lavenham etc. A great place to stay for £12/night!
