It was absolute wonderful. Camping Owner was a perfect host. Twice a day he made his tour on site with his wonderful stories, tips. When there was a problem he was there for us!
The campsite has a wonderful view over the Suffolk Hills. A lot of small picturesque villages are nearby. A ride on bike is possible, a bike shop is on the Farm. Cambridge, London, Norwich can be reached in 1, 5 - 2, 5 hours by Car.
The campsite is well keept, nice green and privat pitches, beautiful shaped scrubs and trees.
The campsite is perfect as a bases for East Anglia and only 1 hour from Harwich. We discovered the Norfolk Coast taking 2 B&B nights away, leaving the caravan behind.
The rate of the campsite is very low, but there are only the minimum of facilities available.
No problem at all in this very relaxed environment.

We travel extensively in our RV. So many brilliant sites with wonderful owners but this is not one of them. The site itself is ok. But is overpriced at £15 per night with limited hookup power rating and no showers. Our experience was entirely spoilt by heavy-handed and seemingly ever-present management. Our booking was lost. The demand for cash payment immediately on arrival was very inconvenient and not expected. The site is peppered with notices (I lost count at 38). Gates were locked by 10. 30 - again, not expected. The continual surveillance by the owner was at last explained by the £2. 00 charge he levied for each one of our five birthday visitors within minutes of their leaving the site - which was the last straw. This was an uncomfortable experience.

`Heaven`is Clockhouse Farm. We have just returned from 10 days at this wonderful site. Colin could not have been more welcoming or helpful, he gave us the choice of where to set up from the pitches that were available. Any problems just see him and he is more than happy to help. The pitches are beautifully maintained, they are more than ample in size, with bushes/hedges between them giving some privacy for those who want it. The views over the surrounding countryside is really lovely and in the evenings the sunsets can be really pretty. Okay so the site has only got two toilets (which are kept really clean) and no showers, but we knew about this and it was not a problem. The village has a couple of general stores, a fish and chip shop (a large portion of chips was huge), and a number of pubs, one within staggering distance. Plenty of visitor attractions in the area to visit. So just chill out, unwind and relax and at £13. 00 a night it is the best therapy we know.

Lovely site when not busy and the locale is excellent with plenty to do and plenty of walks all over the place. Good roads. Owner wanders around quite a bit and kind of makes himself busy but not too much so. Facilities (toilets) quite poor and ramshackle but nonetheless they are there which is handy. Expensive for what it is.
The access is via an industrial unit. Plenty of electricity points all over the site and you can pretty much choose your plot which is always nice. Usual inconsiderate BBQ campers on site, there's always one, who try to gas you out with smoke.
I think they just stick wet finger in the air to see wind direction and as long as its not towards their own caravan who cares! Given you're only 10ft from them it's always a pain. They should be banned to the outskirts of the site, preferably in the next county.
If you are a cyclist or walker you will love the area. Peace at last. Good opportunity to stay in a lovely location and grateful thanks for that, its what camping is all about.

You just can't fault this site - the care and attention that is given to the pitches is amazing. A very kind owner - always available to help - should be very proud. Up until now I have always used Caravan Club sites but this has really made me think and will be back many times I hope. There are rules and regulations about parking etc, which we were very happy about as it has made this site such a very high standard. Wonderful walks, pubs and surrounding area.

First bank holiday of the year and weather so far has been on our side.
Pitches are all level and ' Bloomers' (the owner ' ) was his usual friendly, helpful self, meeting and greeting everyone and making them all feel welcome.
The facilities are basic but at least there are loos, everything else that you may need for a perfect weekend is just a short walk away. Glemsford has various shops for all the basic provisions, there is a great fish and chip shop and a few pubs if you feel the need to leave the site for a stroll and a beer or two.
We have been coming here for a few years now and it's the best place for relaxing and chilling and the sunsets over the valley are outstanding.
There are lots of things to do and places to visit in the surrounding villages and towns if that's what you want- we just prefer to relax.

After being warned off another site in the area, by people who live nearby we chose Clockhouse Farm from the reviews.
It did not let us down. Caught the owner when he was having his lunch, when we arrived and was told to take our pick of the available pitches.
All well laid out on grass base. Toilets only, 2 but clean and basic.
A lot of people came for the week end.
A good place to visit Suffolk and the surrounding areas. If you go to Aldeburgh, for a day trip don't go via Ipswich use the cross country route. Its far easier driving with the car only.

This was our 3rd visit this year, which speaks for itself. Once again we had a great time made extra special by the fabulous weather. As always Colin was on hand to make you welcome and will do everything to make your stay a good one. We took my sister & husband with us this time and they thought it one of the nicest sites they had visited. So if you want a nice quiet break without all the frills, play parks or club house, you won't beat it. We will be returning again for sure, maybe I shouldn't be saying all this in case I can't get a space next time, so keep it quiet and don't tell anyone else. !

Just returned from our first visit to Clockhouse Farm. Firstly it does have very nice level pitches, nicely mown grass, and pitches are interspersed with shrubs and hedges. However, the facilities which only consist of 2 toilets with a wash basin along with only a cold water tap leave a lot to be desired - the building interior was dusty and dirty, the sinks likewise, no hand dryer (well there was a dark brown towel to use!). We will not make the mistake again of visiting a site unless they have actual pictures of facilities on their website. Electric Hook up points were not user friendly. We were not greeted on arrival - unless you can call being called out to from the farm house window by the owner a greeting! Hence, we won't be returning. This site could offer so much more, if only the site fees were re-invested to offer decent basic facilities - such a shame.

A great site. Very well maintained. Bloomer was ver helpful and friendly. Good walking to be done in the area. Glemsord has a couple of pubs, excellent fish and chip shop. You can get a bus to Long Melford. We walked and managed to find ourselves in Essex! site offers great value for money £12 per night for 2 people. There are no showers so take your wet wipes but the loos were always clean and well stocked.
