We hold our AGM in Long Melford and for the past two years (three with this year) we have stayed at Clockhouse Farm.
Owner is an excellent host and welcomes 30 of our members every year.
We always have a great time there and we would not consider moving to another site.
Thanks, see you later this month! Pete and Lin

What a gem of a site!
The owner 'Bloomer' was very helpful. The site is laid out with a lot of thought, lots of trees in between the units. Two toilets, fresh water, lots of EHU. Dog friendly.
Village 5 mins walk, 4 pubs, small supermarket, fish and chips, Chinese.
We will be going back soon, a lovely part of the UK.
Lots to see and do in the local area, lots of local history. The village of Lavenham is beautiful, Long Melford, Sudbury you are spoilt for choice re pretty Suffolk villages.

Very friendly welcome from the owner 'bloomer'. The site is Very spacious with Plenty of EHU, Although Only two toilet'son site(both with handbasin's), there is grey & chemical waste tip's. The pitches are separated by tree's & shrub's. Lovely views of the colne valley,
Close to Long Melford, Sudbury & Clare. Three village shop's and a fish & chip shop, plus Two Pub's within 5 minute walk serving good food & beer. We stayed in our Folding Caravan 25th/26th of may for the 'leestock' music festival.

We visited for 2 nights in early May to try out a second-hand tent we had just bought. The site was good for tents, grassy, level and good soil for easy pitching. It is well maintained but a bit lacking in toilets - however it was pretty busy because of the bank holiday (the toilets may be perfectly adequate during quieter times). The owner seemed like an OK guy although when I phoned and booked he told me £16 per night and when we showed up he said £20; when I reminded him what he'd originally quoted he chuckled and went with the £16.
We didn't go for the electric hook-up because there were none left when I booked but I felt that £16 was a lot for such a basic site. As others have mentioned, there are just a couple of toilets (no showers). It says there are washing up facilities on their website but I didn't find any.
The village is quite good for facilities, the chippy is excellent; good portions. We visited all four pubs - the Cherry Tree is tiny but friendly, the Cock seemed to be the local 'lads' pub, the Angel a bit run-down and The Black Lion was the best out of the four we thought with the best garden for sitting out in. The locals we met were all really chatty and friendly from the guys propping up the bars to the people in the shops.
We only live in Cambridge but have never really explored this part of Suffolk before (tending to head to the coast for holidays) - it is a really picturesque part of the country.

Just got back from this site and all I can say is it's the best UK campsite I have been to ever. Site is close to the village of Glemsford near Sudbury and is surrounded by open fields and has a superb view of the valley. 'Bloomers' the owner extends a very warm welcome to all visitors on their arrival and is always on hand if needed. Our pitch was very spacious (big enough for our large caravan with awning and Land Rover with room to spare), the pitches are divided by small trees giving privacy but not cutting out any light. Facilities on the campsite are clean and well looked after as is the overall site. Clockhouse Farm is surrounded by some of the nicest villages that Suffolk has to offer Glemsford, Long Melford, Clare and the town of Sudbury are all worth a visit. To sum up Clockhouse Farm is a Gem, peaceful and a home from home, so much so that we didn't want to leave and will definitely be returning as soon as we can. Thank you Bloomers, who do I make the cheque out to????

Well what can I say what a gem of a site, best ever been to. You are greeted by the owner bloomer as known by, well couldn't do enough for you, greeted you when you arrive, asked us where we would like to pitch and what a lovely spot, like being in a garden. Fantastic, plenty of space for caravan and car, he made you feel very at home. We had a problem with our battery and bloomer couldn't do enough to help us out. Lovely views of the valley and spotless campsite. The owners keep it spot on. You have lovely villages surrounding the area, we went to lavenham, lovely village with its curio shops and has museums to look round. While we where there we went to the local church, as we have family buried there going back over 100 years or so. But the whole area is really nice with friendly people as well and when it was time to go home we didn't want to leave. Thankyou bloomer and family for letting us stay at your lovely caravan site, we will be back

What a great site the owner known as bloomer is very helpful and quite a laugh checks on you to see if all is ok lovely big pitches with hedges either side toilet on site but no shower block but that's not a problem. The village has two shops and 4 pups at least and a very good fish and chip shop only buy one portion of chips for two people as the portions are huge!Went to Long Melford had a very nice meal at The George And Dragon very dog friendly and a very good meal prices very reasonable, Sudbury is a nice place to visit plenty of shops and places to eat, we also went to Clare there is a lovely park and a nice walk by the river a very quaint place.

We just had a great 5 days at this camp site, the grass was freshly cut, the toilet blocks were clean and acceptable.
'Bloomer' is perhaps the most friendly camp site owner we ever met, spending time both in the mornings and evenings making sure we were okay and happy with everything, great customer service. He will even 'jump start' your flat battery if asked.
The site is set in wonderful surroundings, with great views all around. We had some fantastic walks, and the surrounding pubs in Gelmsford were all lovely and the meals cheap, but the quality was great. Try the 'monster' fish and chips at 'The Cock' Inn, it really was a monster for the price.
The camping fees were cheaper than a lot more commercial camp sites around and very reasonable.
We are definitely making this a site we will be visiting over and over again.

Just returned from a fantastic weekend at Clockhouse Farm Caravan Park. Booking was simple and efficient and we were greeted on arrival by charismatic Colin ('Bloomers') who gave us a welcome as warm as the weather (very warm!).
The site is basic but quiet, friendly and beautiful. Just as another reviewer has said, it is just like camping in someone's garden.
We were a party of 3 touring vans and we were all of the same opinion. In the words of Arnie 'I'll be back!'.
Pretty Glemsford has all you need for a weekend (or longer). 4 pubs, chip shop, general stores and peace and quiet.
Thanks again to 'Bloomers', nothing was too much trouble for this laid back guy.
