Beautiful site; the staff are very helpful and friendly; many local attractions with Leyburn a great place to visit and stock up on supplies.

I would recommend this site; it is very peaceful and amenities as expected are all on hand. Site has a local pub nearby which is well worth a visit.

Contrary to previous reviews, we found access to and from the site trouble free. We were in a motorhome and could see why some people towing may lack confidence but if you visit the countryside often then these narrow roads should be expected, if you are not confident, stop on a site at a motorway junction instead. We also found the facilities clean and well maintained.

The wardens were extremely friendly. Our pitch was on a balcony style area overlooking the lower tier of the park and the view, peace and quiet was much appreciated as even though the site was busy, it was indeed tranquil.

I thought some of the pitches would probably benefit from a little tlc but to be honest, think harsh gravel edges of hardstanding pitches would be detrimental to the feel of the site which I thought fitted in with it's surroundings beautifully.

The town of Leyburn is very accessible from the site and plenty of shops, eateries available. The only issue we had was that the motorhome waste water drain wasn't in the ideal place to drain our tank being on a slight incline and we thought our tank was empty but in driving away realised it wasn't so we spilt some waste water on the way out. We do not normally advocate emptying waste in the wrong place but it was just soapy water on this occasion and we will ensure all taps are closed next time we travel.

We will visit again without hesitation.

Very tight single track downhill access road with blind bends. If you're a nervous tower you won't like this! I assumed, wrongly it transpired, that there would be a separate exit road but no such luck. It's a case of put your foot down and hope you don't meet someone coming the other way on the uphill lane when you go out!

As this site is not owned by the Caravan Club you can see why no money seems to have been spent on it for some time. Toilets are old fashioned, hairdryers have only one speed and heat setting, the disabled shower room is like a sauna if you use it just after someone else as the extractor fan is a waste of time.

The whole floor quickly floods if you are in the shower for any length of time and the rubber 'mops' are not much use either. The bottom part of the site is the best, the top half is ok but is not really Club standard in my opinion. The top pitches have no real size definition to them as they have no real edging and the gravel continues into the grass making it look a little untidy.

The wardens were very friendly and helpful it's just the facilities which need the money spent on them.

Actually arrived a few minutes early. Oh big mistake such a fuss was made ( maybe a waiting area in place at the top of the hill )

The showers are rather dated, shower curtains stick to you, but are very clean

The site is kept clean

Site was nearly full, but organised. We had a small choice of pitches from those remaining, but were happy with what we chose.

Pitches were well spaced with nice outlooks to trees. Staff friendly, and we appreciated the colourful floral display outside the site office.

Wandering ducks, moorhens and a pea-cock made regular visits, and at night we heard an owl hooting.

The wet facilities were spotless, if a little dated. Despite site being full I never queued.

Only one toilet block, which was completely closed for cleaning from 10:30am to 11:45am, last checkout at 12:00pm. Timing could have been better from my point of view.

Lovely peaceful site, only downside is the access which is extremely narrow and twisting. Do not leave minutes before noon unless you want to risk meeting an outfit coming in and then someone will have to reverse.

The wardens are extremely pleasant and helpful.

The toilet block is immaculate and the cultivated area of the site well maintained.

Tennants (in direction of Leyburn) is open daily with lovely cafe area and restaurant if you want more. Sunday lunches are available. Frequent exhibitions and events as well as auctions and free Wifi.

Leyburn has a good range of shops, as does Bedale. If you want a big supermarket head off to Catterick Garrison.

Would benefit from some updating, mobiles fine on site but no Wifi.

Compact site set down in an old quarry, don't arrive before 1p. M or you will blown out the water by one of the wardens, we arrived 10 minutes early to receive a right old telling off.

Site is mostly hard standing on several levels, set amongst trees with some views across the country side, rabbits and ducks run amok around the site and during our stay dozens of young new born chicks had hatched out.

One toilet block with four showers, toilets etc all kept spotlessly clean, , usual service points. , TV reception can be a bit hit and miss, depending on the location of your pitch.

Leyburn town has plenty of shops and local produce to keep you fridge stocked up, a few local enterprises with 5 minutes walk, even a chocolate factory and pottery shop.

Tenants auction house is 5 minutes away and on auction day (Saturday) the cafe and restaurant are open, we had a tea for two with local scones, the sale rooms are open at 09. 30 if you fancy a bid on something.

Worth another visit next year

Although not awash with amenities I found this site very pleasing and quiet. The only real downside is the very steep hill down into the site. I could not use my mobility scooter to go off site to the local village, which is only just up the road, I was forced to use my vehicle.

The toilet block was possibly a little small for the camp size but were well kept and clean and the disabled toilet was immaculate.

The site offers good facilities for walking in the area.

Well placed in Yorkshire, there is plenty to do on days out. Walking, cycling, visiting heritage sites and the local preserved railway.

Overall, a very nice site, very pleasant and quiet with a nice set of friendly and helpful wardens. I will definitely be visiting again.

Very tidy site which was quite large and busy but the split levels of the former quarry site made for lots of little bays of units.

The tented area was nice and dry with very big pitches. The facilities were great and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Leyburn itself is a lovely market town and The Bolton Arms a great place for lunch. The Co-op has everything you could need for a short stay.

Very handy for all of the local sights, with Castle Bolton and Aysgarth Falls very close.

We'd definitely recommend.

Not suitable for very young active children the tent site are located at the top of a disused quarry which is unsigned and inappropriately fenced (SURPRISED TO SAY THE LEAST).

We felt our tent site were to far away from the toilets and showers although the facilities where very clean and tidy. I think the site is well suited to couples in campervans or caravans
